    This podcast exceeds expectations and is of excellent quality. So few podcast hosts/narrators pay attention to the tonality and cadence of their voice, and it’s grating (or impossible) to listen to them. I wish more would take cues from Keith Morrison, one of the greatest voices and story tellers of all time.

    Well, I just loved this! A gothic tale of mystery and romance, perfect for Keith Morrison’s rich voice and subtle, dry wit. Not too demanding, but still worthy of analysis if one wishes to ponder the changes in manner and expression and the continuities in human nature over the last couple of centuries. It’s rare we have been able to listen to a masterful storyteller with mastery of voice tell a tale for the pure joy of yelling and listening. Radio is back! Long live radio.

    Wish stories were in third person
    I obviously love Keith Morrison’s voice but I do wish the stories were in third person. Like they would be on dateline. The “I did this” “I decided that” throws me off lol because I’m envisioning the real Keith do that, because I associate his voice with himself, not another character

    Morrison brought ALIVE my favorite crime classic writer Wilkie Collins! Hope they do more! Collins books tick all the boxes for a great mystery and Keith does the best characterization to make them almost visual. Another fantastic read!

    “The Dead Alive” series on Morrison Mysteries is SO good, I’m hooked! It’s timeless and yet wonderfully old fashioned in its language and phrasing. Of course I love Keith’s voice, who doesn’t, and I also appreciate the little bit of sound effects that are in the background. Funnily enough, I read a review someone wrote saying how much they dislike these sound effects. Well, as my mother-in-law used to say, “it takes all sorts to make a world”. Keep up the great work, Keith and Team, I am a staunchly loyal fan.

    I could listen to Keith Morrison’s voice all day. And I love hearing the classics. Please publish more!! Also, I like the sound effects. I know some people don’t, but it helps me picture the story in my mind.

    STOP THE AUDIO EFFECTS
    I would never give Keith Morrison less than five stars, because he is perfection; however, the podcast is not. Please, PLEASE PLEEAAASE stop with the audio effects! I don’t need to hear a door shut or the sound of disturbed gravel when I am being read to. It is distracting and annoying, and takes away from one of the best voices ever. YOU. DON’T NEED. IT. You have Keith Morrison! You cannot enhance him; he is already perfect. Please think about taking out the background sounds, or possibly publishing a version without? I want to keep listening so badly, but I also get so frustrated by all the extras!
