is rhis name taken?Stick to MLM’sThe roaming into religion and politics is annoying. The MLM info is great.
-
praxis78Episode 287: MariahThis podcast is needed to help deprogram people from MLM cults. Would be nice if an editor steam-lined the story telling and removed the hundreds of times this guest (and all guests) say the word “like”
-
pinacolodaSo interesting!Just found this podcast and love it! Very informative as years back I too, was sucked into selling some MLM products. Thank you for all this helpful info, great host and fun format to listen to!
-
LisaMwritesListen with your EYES open! The host is interviewing MLM leaders that knowingly ripped off and exploited people for their own gain. These people should not be heard, or looked up too. They should be treated like the criminals they are.
-
Patrons RLet them speeaakThe host speaks OVER her guests. Great topic, potentially interesting guests—if only they could finish a sentence. The host is annoying.

melbrock001Go back listen from the startVery informative, it’s sparked a lot of memories from my parents buying powdered milk and powdered oj growing up to my early days of marriage in the grand daddy of them all! Everyone should listen and learn the red flags and learn how to avoid these scams. Thanks Roberta I listened to every episode and I’m almost caught up, but part of me hopes I never will.

BlueCelt08Roberta is awesome!I love this podcast. Informative and entertaining! Perfect!
-
dreamerzamoraThank youI love this podcast, I can listen to it all day. Very informative and true stories at its finest.

LlillfrogJust one thing to fixThe ads, I don’t mind them at all (I typically don’t skip in any podcasts)…you can actually HEAR the the spit/moisture or whatever in every word she says. its almost like ASMR torture. It’s not like that in her episodes, so it’s not the regular way she talks. I wouldn’t bring it up if it was a speech issue or a voice that bothers me. Maybe a different microphone or something would help…I beg of you, re-record those ads. The ick creepy crawlies from those ads are overwhelming, I skip them all and my skin crawls if I’m too slow and hear that smacking of mouth film. Sorry! 5 stars all around for literally everything else.

MariaMariaaaaaaaaGreat podcastSome of these reviews are so unnecessarily mean and harsh! I think this podcast is great and Roberta is a very compassionate host. She has said on the show that comments she got from listeners about her interrupting people are what led to her eventually getting a diagnosis for ADHD, so she is very aware and clearly takes feedback seriously from listeners. Some of these people are impossible to please lol
-
Sandpaper daisyFascinating and CompassionateNot only is this fascinating show chock-full of great guests and interesting facts, the host is compassionate, nonjudgemental and supportive of all these unfortunate folks who have been ensnared by cults and MLM. I can’t get enough of it.
-
Witch with a WLet your guests speakRoberta, I love what you’re trying to do here, but please give your guest more airtime. I want to better understand their interior lives (have them expand on what they were thinking and feeling as things unfolded), their motivations for doing what they’re doing, and their timeline (eg have them walk us through what happened, without your constant interruptions and repeating what they just said). It is not helpful when you just repeat what they say and then go on a long ramble. I have to skip past your rambling. Your topics and guests are interesting. Please give your guests more space.
-
PeaStain5InterruptingI listened to the pilot and then couldn’t get through the guest episode. I wanted to hear the guest tell her full story, but it was more like a girls night discussion than a podcast. I came to look at the other reviews it and seems like this issue is still going on. I wanted to love it!
-
reviewer2022gGreat info but let your guests speakStop talking so much! Let your guests speak. You don’t have to parrot everything they say with your own interpretation.
-
LaurenH0513Fun and easy to listen toI enjoy listening to all the light hearted episodes and have been so surprised learning so much about all the MLMs and realizing I was sucked into joining a lot of online parties during lockdown haha! Roberta is really good at giving content warnings so I know when I should skip.
-
CJListens1Wanted to love thisI’m not of fan of giggling to take up space. Maybe that’s not what is happening but it sure sounds like it and I cringe when I hear it. When it’s serious it’s great. If you can move past the incessant giggles you probably will enjoy it.
-
DonMartin86He a Don FireI might be a tiny bit partial, but that episode you did with Don might be the best thing I’ve heard in the last 87 minutes.
-
MuraihaInterrupter OverloadThe host interrupts the guests nonstop and it makes me INSANE! Interesting topic, but I just can’t understand why the host can’t shut up and let the guests talk.
-
This Tired GalI want to hear the guest. The guests come prepared to discuss a topic but Roberta does nearly all of the talking. It’s like the guests are there to suggest an idea for Roberta to do a monologue on. I can’t listen anymore.
-
Anomaly todayVery interesting. Please let people talk for themselves instead of talking for them.
-
GuacacoleySolid podcast on corporate and religious cultsI first started listening as I was leaving my MLM, and was drawn into the first person retelling of personal experiences in multi level marketing. The stories were told thoughtfully, and I felt the host did a great job spurring on conversation while respecting the voice of the original narrator. As of late the host has taken recent seasons into more cult/religious territory- and while I’m not as interested in that perspective as of that of MLMs, I respect the hosts artistic decisions and feel the podcast is still a solid one.
-
Nykol22Not the same anymore 😔I’ve listened since the beginning. It started off really well. Introducing stories about how MLM’s affected your guests lives, why they are predatory, etc. Now the podcast has gone completely in a different direction. I get notifications and I am so happy to see a new episode, but the title says something like “cults” “Scientology” etc. These are not the MLM stories I wanted to hear. I had to stop listening too because Roberta keeps interrupting her guests and she speaks about 90% of the episode. Which is fine, but maybe switch to a different type of podcast. I’m sorry, but the content just isn’t the same anymore.

StinaMasFinaCults = Sexual Abuse of Women & ChildrenUpdate June 2024:: I started with 5⭐️s a few years ago - probably about the time the documentary became popular - and this podcast was worth those 5⭐️s at that time. Then, I got tired of the cult content week after week. I understand the similarities but there’s some very serious torture and abuse that takes place inside cults that does not apply to MLMs at all. Sexual abuse, rape, child abuse, child rape and molestation, starvation, slavery, all kinds of seriously terrible things take place inside of the bad cults that it’s not fair to compare that PTSD to an MLM “survivor.” Dropped to 4⭐️s and stopped considering joining the Patreon. I continued listening and ignored when the conversation went a little nuts on the cult comparisons. Which MLM forced 11-yr-old girls to marry 48-yr-old men and start popping out babies? Was that Amway? Now I’ve dropped to 3⭐️s for 2 additional reasons: first, your other reviewers are completely correct! Please let your guest finish their thought. You can get on your pedestal after they’ve finished their sentence. We’ll listen to your lecture, but I feel so bad for the guest who is probably thinking “Why am I here?” Then second, and I hate to be this picky, but you promised this shietty music was temporary. I think I have to misspell in order to get my review approved. Please, for the love of all your remaining fans. The die-hards and those of us hanging by a thread, FIND SOME DECENT THEME MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!
-
kadamsaiListen don’t talk!Stop telling your own stories! Majority of the episode is the host going on and on about herself and not letting the actual person being interviewed talk.
-
nycgirl1985Very informative, and ValidatingThank you for starting this podcast! Every episode truly sheds light on the scams, and patterns of deception across all MLM’s. As someone who’s been sucked in to more than one MLM in my past life, I thought I was the only one who had crazy stories, for the longest time I thought I was the problem. There is a lot of comfort in knowing I’m not crazy or unmotivated, and that I made the right decision to leave. I would love to hear more episodes on World Financial Group (WFG). Also would be good to hear an episode on Organo Gold, I don’t think this one’s been talked about yet :) Great work! PS: The Scentsy episode #227 was hilarious!
-
Manush2Unsubscribed due to supporting of overconsumptionIt’s an interesting podcast to hear the stories of people’s experiences in MLMs and getting out, but the host and often guests continue to support overconsumption, fast fashion, exploitative working conditions, etc. Then laugh it off and excuse their behavior.
-
vak000999Please take our advice Roberta!I really wanted to love this podcast, and I say this from a place of kindness: given your conversation style, maybe you should change your podcast style to less interviews and more narrative episodes! It’s so frustrating when your guests don’t get to give their own backstory, get asked an open-ended follow up question, or even finish a sentence. Its interesting to see that I’m not the only one leaving a review who thinks so! Such a great topic, but in a conversation you should only talk for 50% of the time (and in an interview- even less!)
-
Pod farmerGot back to MLMBeen listening to podcasts since 2015 and this is the first review I’ve left. I loved this podcast, it was one of my favorites. But it needs to go back to mlms. I figured she’d talk about other stuff for a bit, but it’s been over a year and we get no mlm content anymore. It’s just lost and all over the place. I get having ADHD but make a different podcast for cults and keep this one anti-mlm please. I’ve given it enough changes, but finally unsubscribing.
-
Jay DeeNolaPlease go back to MLM content!!Overall interesting content but it could use some editing and the last stories seem very off base. There are too many random interviews that aren’t connected to the MLM topic that made earlier interviews interesting. If you view MLM as exploitation then you could have hundreds of topics that are vaguely connected but then you miss out on the content that made it interesting. What is this podcast about? Unsubscribed it’s too chaotic and all over the place. This was such a good niche please go back!!!
-
Podcastfan1979ObnoxiousStop repeating words like “DINK” over and over!!! The concept just wasn’t that important. Get someone else to write your interview questions and stick with the script more. Fascinating concepts and guests. I would also like to argue that “DINKS” that are working for an MLM DO NOT have extra disposable income!!! They do have the luxury of nearly unlimited TIME to recruit and sell to others. That is why MLMs like “DINKS.” DINKS, DINKS, DINKS……!!!!!!!! The host just does not get it!!!
-
akdlistenerGreat ideaI love the idea for this show and I see all of these great MLM stories that I want to listen to. However, I’ve tried 3 episodes and I am not sure I can get past all of Roberta’s constant interruptions of her guests. She can’t seem to be quiet and let her guests tell their stories, I even tried one of her newest episodes and she is still doing it. Oh well.
-
Until someone realizesLet someone else speakStop talking over your guests. You don’t know it all.
-
MichellePodHas potential butThe host dominates so many of the conversations and tells the same parts of her stories again and again. I understand she was part of Lularoe and it is an interesting story, but I'd like to hear more about the guest's experiences and not keep rehashing hers. I also wish she trusted that the guests are telling their stories in a way the audience understands. A lot of times, she will unnecessarily summarize what they've just said in basically the same exact way, which breaks up the flow of their story.
-
atlgal404Give guests a little more graceBeen listening since close to the beginning and love Roberta. She has grown a lot. Lately though seems like she’s back to dominating the conversations and not letting us hear the guest stories and perspectives. She’s doing most of the talking. I don’t care for that at all.
-
cherylmclawsLet the guests talkWould be great to actually hear more of the guest’s stories instead of the host dominating the convo. Today’s episode was maybe 10mins of the guest actually taking. It was SO Much of Roberta talking and telling her stories.
-
DorothyrothchildCrypto commercial? Really?Really disappointed that someone whose goal purportedly is to shed light on the predatory nature of pyramid schemes would accept advertising dollars from a crypto company. Unfollowing your show, Roberta, because sadly it appears you‘ve turned into just another huckster who’s ok with preying on gullible people.
-
kwa319My Favorite PodcastI have been listening for around a year now. Roberta is amazing and funny. She always has really great guests and it’s super informative. She covers lots of different topics and it feels like you’re just listening to friends talk. I would recommend! 🩵
-
love the order ahead featureGreat contentRoberta’s content is interesting and always a great listen. I literally squealed when I saw the episode with Hannah Alonzo came out. Great collab!
-
ejreynolds4Host likes to hear herselfI want to like it. It’s a great idea for a podcast. However, the host LOVES to hear herself talk. I cannot stand her going off on a tangent instead of letting the guest talk. It’s too much.
-
BD8437Should be betterFantastic topic for a pod but the execution disappoints. Listeners have been leaving reviews since the pod began imploring Roberta to improve her interviewing skills; talk less and listen more. Unfortunately, she still feels the need to dominate the conversation while often adding nothing beneficial. Some of the guests have fascinating stories and educational perspectives, but so many just come across as…well let’s just say I wouldn’t want to spend time with them. I do hope this pod helps people, it’s just not for me.
-
d00dles4scienceListen to this if you value your life…and the lives of anyone and everyone you care about! So helpful in healing and educating myself about the incredible dangers that so few people are brave enough (or even able) to stand up against. Roberta Blevins, you are an inspiration! Might get out to more people and make a bigger impact if you considered the feedback you are receiving though.
-
Formula For FabulousNo longer a fanJust not interesting anymore and a few other things.
-
KandagallmanHost talks over guestsContent is interesting but the host talks wayyyy too much- she needs to focus on her guests and allow them to share their information- that’s the point. It was painful to listen to.
-
AshlokoeToo much talking over guestsI was interested in this podcast every finishing The Dream and thought this would be a great follow up. I wanted to like this and even it made it episode 22 but every episode I had the same thought “why isn’t she letting the guest speak??” The host talks over and interjects so much that you can’t even follow what the other person is talking about. She tells the same stories over and over and OVER again. I stopped listening at episode 22 when the guest said that she was going back to school to become a beauty instructor and then Roberta went off on a tangent about how wants to do that too and she also wants to do xyz. Just totally overrides what the other person is saying. I also thought her “imitations” of “huns” was kind of mean and snarky in a way that wasn’t needed. Interesting stuff but wasn’t a great listen
-
YouknowilovemybuildyourtribeJust okI did start out like it this podcast. I think the host has joined the cult of wokeness. I find myself rolling my eyes as gross insults to people of faith.
-
NeutronJayCool content. Host needs to stop talking.I really love anti-MLM contacts, and want to hear from the guests. Roberta cannot shut up and let her guests speak. Even when she asks him questions she answers for them.
-
Goes fasttMaybe listen more and talk less…?I’ve listened to a handful of episodes, and though I find the subject matter interesting, it’s really difficult to stay focused when the host constantly interjects her thoughts and experiences, often talking over her guests. Without guests, she doesn’t have much of a podcast, so maybe honor their story and let them speak more? Think I’ll pass on this one.
-
Rhinemaiden61Love the podcast, hate the musicIt’s so spooky. Very creepy.
-
WBbeachFabulousEntertaining, informative and compassionate. So glad I discovered this podcast. I’ve learned so much. I love her inquisitiveness and that way she approaches every guest with respect and compassion. Her humorous and curious nature are infectious.
-
NolawyerjokesTerrible turnWe started at MLM and then turned to bashing religion because to you every religion is a cult except the one where they kill homosexuals. You’re not ok.
