    “President” Trump
Mr. Cortina, please stop calling Trump as “President” Trump. He hasn’t been one in years and he’s not worthy of becoming one again.

    Smart, friendly and fun!
I love getting the scoop on Texas and national politics from Brandon and Jerónimo. Their commentary is insightful and my favorite way to catch up what’s happening in the lone star state.

    The jury's still out...
I heard about this podcast when it was mentioned on my favorite podcast, "The World and Everything In It," so, I thought that I'd give it a listen. I listened to Episode 111: Fundraising Update and while I generally enjoyed the information, I was taken aback by a couple of comments that were definitely NOT unbiased: 1) when referring to the direction of the GOP in the future, it was disparaging to hear the party painted as xenophobic. Seriously?! 2) While discussing the homeless situation (street camping, used needles scattered about, etc.) in Austin, the governor & lieutenant governor's position was colored as uncompassionate & heartless. No consideration or speculation was given to organizations outside of the public sphere as part of a solution to the problem. Homelessness is indeed a challenging social problem; public policy alone will not offer the homeless population hope for living a life with dignity nor will a "compassionate" public policy protect the general population from health hazards and potential danger of long term and expanding homeless camps. I'll continue to listen but if the hosts continue to lean to the left, I'll look for other more unbiased news outlets.

    Best Politics Podcast
Great coverage of local and national politics, the people and the ideas. Seems fair to both sides, and isn’t some “talking heads” show, feels more like a college lecture of “here are the facts, you decide”. Makes sense since they’re both college professors!

    “All politics is local.”
“All politics is local,” Tip O’Neil famously said. Yet coverage of local (Houston and Texas) issues with the breadth and depth we expect from NY Times or Wash Post is difficult for local newspapers or TV alone. These two commentators provide not only a focused update but also context. Facts and insight are our only tools to address the issues confronting our state. A+

    Easily accessible politics podcast
I love that both the length of this podcast and that it is divided into Texas and national news. This helps me feel in the know enough on a week to week basis.

Complexities of politics in an everyday conversation
What makes this podcast a treasure in the world of political commentary is the way the hosts put the institutions of government and politics into an approachable context for even the most beginner-level individuals. These are quick and easy to digest reviews of government and politics in action. It is particularly valuable for those trying to teach others about government or for just the casual consumer.

    Politics you can digest
This is a great podcast that gives you the week's news without losing you in the details. Nice to have two podcasts released every week, one with a special focus on Texas politics.

    Short and sweet but informative
When you don't have 45 minutes to an hour to listen to a political podcast, get your fix with this one. The commentary is top notch because the hosts know their stuff. Great idea to have a national edition and a more Texas focused one (where the podcasters are based). Highly recommended.
