MittenStateMomShawn Moore & Kenneth Myers CasesThorough and Thoughtful Podcast. Thank You for covering the Michigan cases in your most recent episode. I grew up in Brighton and Ronald Bailey was definitely the bogey man to us back then. I am looking forward to reading the book by your guest when it comes out next month. The possible connection to the Oakland county child murders is very interesting. I hope someday those cases can be solved as well.

WmhuntTell Dan to delete AbominationDan is great! Giving William Ramseyās Abomination is an honest mistake. Danās interview with then attorney Dan Stidhman who represented Jessie Misskelley Jr after his book release removes all doubt that the WM3 were wrongly convicted. Thank you Dan Stidhman for your enlightening book The Harvest Of Innocence. Dan Stidhman is a hero. Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin and Jessie Misskelleys are Superheroes. Faith restored, unfortunately too many years behind bars that will never restored to three men/boys that will never get ārealā justice nor the three eight year old boys tragically killed. š

ZadarooGreat InterviewsThis podcast has some great authors who have written a true crime books. Dianne Fanning, Kathryn Casey plus many more.
-
ming de mercilessIn DepthI appreciate the thoroughness and uniqueness of this podcast. The conversations reveal the complexity of the events as well as what made an author choose to write it.
-
austenlover2Caitlin Rotherunsatisfying glib interview Kemper turned himself in , so she was wrong about that. It's too bad that she was so insensitive and ignorant about California and her coverage of this one killer's crimes

Mrs. BLLegendary, butā¦What is going on with the ads on this podcast? They take an ad break every 3-4 minutes in the newer episodes. Please stop.

Twist's iPodProfessional and intriguingDan Zupanski is a to the point interviewer. If youāre looking for looking for a lot of social cross talk this is the wrong podcast for you. He conducts his interviews like a class, informative and smart. My favorite podcast for years!
-
Karen now KittyThe assassins of youth is the best.Dan Z us the granddaddy of true crime podcasts. He is generous with his guests and his humanity and caring are evident in his interviews. Before serial there was true murder.
-
IFA369Thank youTrue Murder has been one of my go to true crime podcasts for years now. Dan Zanskiās truly dedicated to his passion. Itās amazing to me heās able to get through all those books.

Kathyb527AwfulHeās not listening. He doesnāt care. Clearly he doesnāt read the reviews Lousy sound quality as usual Most recent guest sounds bombed! Poor Danā
-
huenewCalm and InformativeHe gets right to the point. One of my favorite podcasts because the host, Dan Zupansky, is very prepared with the most relevant questions. These true crime writers investigate their cases thoroughly, sometimes obsessively, and are committed to truth and justice. This podcast is about those ideals. The Berman Murders with Dave Kari was memorable and concerning.
-
JAM 1972Great interviewsI enjoy this podcast. Especially the early episodes, they were raw like an old radio broadcast.
-
RiverempathprecogWaiting all week for the next podcastDan and his guests are a great listen. The authors he spotlights are intelligent, and very well informed on the subjects they cover. In a market full of true crime podcasts, Dan Zupansky is head and shoulders above the competition.
-
NumericanAnnoyingly amateurThis is a great premise, but the sound is so terrible, you can't get into the content. you have to skip half of the episodes because the sound quality is so bad.
-
iamspeedracerOkay but also odd...Iāve always liked Danās questions, but not happy with what heās done recently with his interviews. The introductions are done as an AI recreated version of his voice, for some strange reason. And heās also running his interviews (it sounds like) through some kind of software to take out the āumsā and pauses. In theory itās a nice idea, but in actuality it makes the author sound unnatural when he/she talks, with a lot of abrupt sentence cuts.
-
PaintomahaOne of the Best True Crime podcastsIāve searched and listened to a ton of True Crime pods. Dan hosts and interviews the best authors writing up-to-date true crime stories. Subscribe for the stories, research and insights. Youāll be happy and keep coming back for more. Eric Omaha

NappyDresserDavid CAMM!Outrageous prosecutorial misconduct! Is DA Feyte in prison yet? WTH? Incredible injustice! What a clown car cluster ****! Gotta get this book!
-
production guyEditors pleaseThere is something that the new audio editors of this show are doing to make t sound like the guests are robots. Annoying.
-
Tbin9101Used to like this podcast, but now itās a robotThis used be great when Dan was on an actual call with the authors. But now whatever this with an AI editor or something but there is no emotion, itās horrible to listen to. Iāll check in to see if they change back to the old format but for now this is out

MSU 86Bleeding heart liberalThe author of Hunting Manson is nothing more than a bleeding heart liberal from the most liberal area of our country. She blamed the divide of our country on trump when it was Obama who created that racial divide. Sheās misguided in her thinking and obviously doesnāt consider that man is sinful. She tends to lean towards blaming the behavior of these horrible people on mental illness and the ills of society. People like her need to shut up about issues sheās clearly ignorant about and stick to the book. Manson made his decisions and those decisions were bad. Regarding the story The Family I Had, where was the father? The podcast gives no background of the boy or the family. What kind of things and situations was this 13 year old exposed to? Was this boy never disciplined? Does the mother continue to have children out of wedlock? So obviously, there is no moral compass. Everyone blames everything on mental illness to excuse the evil that is present, and to alleviate the consequences for evil and unlawful behavior. This country has forgotten God, and the slippery slope that this nation is on is obvious. This story is tragic, but this boy was old enough to know better. There is no excuse. And stop blaming this sinful behavior on mental illness.

Sammie ššNot so greatIām not gonna bash the producer or the narrator. But I canāt get past the robot reading. Iām sure this podcast has potential, I just canāt get into it.
-
Dorei JewlSounds roboticOdd sounding host . Couldnāt get past the robotic reading
-
Sfuen1Fantastic PodcastI love Dan! Heās introduced to me to so many stories and Authors. Iāve picked up numerous books over the years after listening. This is my go to for true crime!
-
-jorNew ListenerIām just happy you know how to tell a story. Some people just talk and talk then Iām so lost by the end idk what weāre talking about anymore. Iām glad this podcast isnāt like that! -jor

Sagebrush725A GREAT podcast!Dan is a great interviewer-which really brings this podcast together.
-
thecontainerstoreLove itThank you for doing this podcast
-
Jetson711The Murder GeneDo you ever ask the authors if they have permission from the families to write these stories? I guess itās a story nonetheless, man one can write what they want. I will not read the book. But what I heard in this interview was really shocking to me. Karen spears Zacharias chose to say salacious things about the victim of Luke Chang. She was a beautiful girl, and a wonderful artist. Why didnāt Karen mention anything good about this victim? But chose to say the most salacious tidbit she could. This victims parents did not want Karen spears Zacharias to write this book. She didnāt care. And leaves the most salacious audio descriptive of the victim that she can. Iām embarrassed for you Dan Zupansky to have her on your show.

Coolest504312Awful NarrationI turned this off within 5 minutes. The computer like choppy voice of the narrator was terrible. Couldnāt stand to listen.

yoga.ahaA solid and reliable podcastThis is a very good podcast. Great true crime info and interviews. It varies a bit but has consistent quality of content. It is interview based so donāt expect an action packed thriller: but sometimes it is! THE COMMERCIALS ARE WAY TOO LOUD, and they are poorly place. The ads done by the shows narrator are fine. Please improve the sound quality. Especially the mouth and tongue clicks of some guests make it nearly impossible to listen too at times. Some type of sound equalization and/or filter could help with this. You do this enough that it would be worth it! The content is great! Micheal Benson is way too patriarchal and overly pedantic. Judith A. Yates could use a few history classes before she writes anymore books, she just repeats herself and itās not flattering or edified.
-
AhmedbrightThe best podcast for true crime books loversThis podcast is really a treasure of true crime literature, the host is elegant and classic, I am addicted to true crime books š and this podcast is my home for reviews and discovering the best writers on the field, mr Dan himself has a great true crime book, thanks šš» for your great podcast, cheers from Egypt šŖš¬

ReeeesaDan Zupansky is the bestIāve been listening to Dan since he was only on blog talk radio and really respect him and enjoy his pod. Heās very professional, well prepared and compassionate. I remember some of his older episodes where authors were late, sick (on mic!!) or did not even show, but Dan always put out a good pod no matter what!
-
HhhoorayItās Worth a ListenDan is great, well prepared and does a great job interviewing authors. Some of the authors are horrible to listen to, they are writers not speakers, so some of their speaking styles/voices are like listening to fingernails on a chalkboard. Overall, if you like true crime, Dan takes us into many less-known stories and brings us in-depth inside these cases. Itās worth a listen!
-
ddaylynnUnlistenableSubject matter would be compelling if not for the horrible audio-monotone sound-awkward pauses and authors who seem unused to verbally telling their story and Dan Zās stumbling delivery- Such a shame that it seems no research into broadcasting or interviewing was done This could have been an awesome podcast The subject matter is wasted!!!
-
Sr JulianInexcusableOverall I give this podcast 4 stars. But to interview a murderer and sexual deviant so he can sell more books and his art, is inexcusable. How do you a single word he says is true?!? You were conned
-
Danish6300Danās Great. Some Authors Not.Been listening since the start, abs Dan is great and very prepared. His guests seem less so. The stories are mostly intriguing, but frankly, if Dan didnāt prompt some authors we wouldnāt get the whole story. The author of Terror Town said ājust umā so many times it was terribly distracting to the information he stated. Is a pre-interview done?
-
Marykat35Audio??I really like this podcast and it is one of my favs, but the audio on it sometimes is awful. It is fine when Dan is speaking but when the guest is talking it is so raspy and I have had to stop listening. Seems perhaps the person is on a cell phone maybe. And I love all the info the authors have but then some of them do not speak well and either struggling to get their thoughts trying to get the words and just difficult to listen. KL

jeremy.stout.1973Good showDan does a pretty good job interviewing true crime authors. Iāve listened to a few of his shows. I wouldnāt put this podcast in my top 10 but itās usually well done from what Iāve found.
-
lutherkiteFirst podcast !This is the podcast that got me hooked on true crime. Itās been at the very least 5 years (or more )itās been so long when I started listening to this one! I love Dan and Iove this podcast! This one did introduce me to the most shocking killers!
-
OwenGilAwesome True Crime Podcast!!!Love the podcast!! If you like true crime at all, you must listen to Dan. One of the best is Notorious San Francisco. Another excellent book was Legacy of Deception with Stephen Singular. If you think that you know that OJ Simpson was guilty, like I did, this interview will at the very least make you question your assumptions. Dan is one of the best interviewers out there. Wonderful podcast...Always interesting. I am now catching up with the old podcasts because I only discovered this in 2019. Danās work on Trophy Kill is some of the best, and creepiest, things you will ever hear about. And he took it on at some personal risk because thereās a really good chance in Canada that even the most heinous murderers will be paroled. Check it out!! FYI there were some problems with episodes for a few weeks around March 2021 but it looks like it was resolved
