    Superb podcast
Just utterly superb content. Kirtley listens patiently, asks superb questions, and contributes his own expertise. The greatest benefit for me is his willingness to encourage guests to take the time they need to talk through their thoughts. Over 2 hrs with Cliff Jacobson was amazing!

    Superb discussion on tanning
Paul, Thoroughly enjoyed the latest podcast with your guest Theresa Kampler. Ey informative, even for someone who has never tanned a hide.

Fascinating interviews and great practical information
During quarantine in the US I was looking for podcasts on outdoor skills and found Paul Kirtley and a few others. This is BY FAR the best—genuine and without any posturing. The guests and the host possess incredible knowledge and experience, and I absolutely love the stories of their wilderness adventures, many of which are laugh-aloud funny. And even if the topic of an episode focuses on an activity I don't participate in, I come away with useful information that I can apply to my travels as a solo camper and part-time nomad. Thanks for sharing your expertise and love of nature, and reminding me of why I can't wait to get back on the road!

    Amazing podcast
What an amazing podcast!! Paul is an amazing host with the most interesting guest. A friend told me about Paul’s knowledge on water exploration a few years back but I had no idea. This is truly one of the best podcast I’ve listened to, he takes you on an adventure every episode.

    Enlightened Bushcraft
I came across Paul Kirtley while on youtube researching for a canoe trip. What a find! He really knows his stuff and he has a focus on enjoying and preserving wild places. Survival is not just about being macho and having tons of knives for no real purpose. I have learned quite a lot of practical knowledge from this podcast and his blog, and he has great suggestions for related books, authors, and like-minded individuals. Well done my friend, and keep up the good work!

    Excellent Podcast!
Paul is fantastic, and more than qualified to dole out outdoor expertise. This podcast is really bad for people who want fast, sexy outdoor stimulation (the "Bear Gryllsy" type), but for those of us who want to devote the time to learning about bushcraft, it is absolutely great!

    Fifty/Fifty
Paul is very knowledgeable and expert at his craft, and a pleasant guy to listen to. I am strictly in to backpacking so only about half of the episodes apply to me, but he has some excellent information available. Gonna have to buy me a brown bag now :)

    Great outdoor chat
I've been looking for podcasts that cover nature, the outdoors, backpacking, bushcraft etc for quite a while now without luck before coming across this. Paul has really done a great job of putting together an outdoors podcast here. Covers a wide variety of topics and brings on very interesting guests for informative and entertaining chats. He's continued to refine since the 1st episode, and applies the feedback he gets from his listeners. Great stuff.

    Bushcraft and Beyond
Paul's podcast and his blog goes well beyond the traditional concept of bushcraft. The first two podcast deal with survival psychology and traditional canoe travel and risk in a true wilderness setting. Those interviewed are articulate experts in their field. The sound quality is surprisingly good given location on the second podcast.
