I had to turn off this last episode because someone wouldn’t mute their mic while eating potato chips. Non stop crunching. Come on man, you guys are better than this. At least listen to some of the audio before you upload. It was awful.

I listen to many NBA podcasts, podcasts that cover the league and podcasts that cover individual teams. I don’t think there are any better than this one with Jerry Reynolds. He’s clever and witty. He knows basketball as only someone with decades of fulfilled passion could. If you love hoops, good stories, and original ways to describe players and play, then you’ll love the Kings Herald podcast with Jerry.

These guys know the Kings front and back and provide excellent, honest analysis. And Jerry Reynolds is a treasure that must be protected at all costs. Love the pod!

Have you ever had that “something is off” feeling in the background? Like everything is going great in your life but you just have this background anxiety and you can’t figure out why? That’s where I was when I found out that Jerry was retiring. I don’t do well with change. I’ve always been a HUGE fan of TKH crew(formerly STR) and if you’re not familiar with their work, go to the kings herald right now! Trust me you won’t regret it. These guy put in some real hard work. So when I found out about this podcast, my “something is off” feeling disappeared. I just can’t imagine kings without Jerry and the G-Man. So If you’re looking for the best Kings podcast, congratulations! You found it.

Very excited for the The Kings Herald!

I used to listen to this pod religiously. Excellent host, guests, etc. I’m done after this week’s episode. Nothing personal, but the quality has declined significantly since this new host took over. In my opinion, he doesn’t have the basketball IQ or background necessary to carry a pod on his own. For instance, his recent take chastising fans for not cheering on Buddy in his quest for a $110 million contract. He says there’s “no reason” not to be supportive of Buddy. Essentially if you don’t support him your ignorant, apathetic, or both. How about we don’t want our team to cripple its cap flexibility? It’s not as if the fans are jealous of Buddy’s earnings. We want him to be successful, but not at the sake of our future. With that said, I am rooting for the podcast (since the Kings don’t really have a good one) to return to its prior greatness. Hopefully this host pulls it together or they bring in some one else who can.

No idea why I haven’t been listening to this podcast but it’s really good. The latest episode was really insightful so I’m looking forward to future episodes especially with the draft coming up shortly.

Where else can we get 90 minutes of kings-centric summer league analysis? The charm of a smaller podcast meets the publishable meets meets the in-depth analysis of a larger, big-budget operation. STR is great too

I have enjoyed listening to the SacTown Royalty podcast. It is cool to hear the voices behind the commenters who I've read for years. I really appreciate that Tony is aiming for a more regular upload schedule. Keep up the great work.

Sound issues completely derail this podcast too often. The standard mic is wayyyyy to quiet to listen to in anything but the most ideal settings and is frequently with paired with a guest on a mic that is so much louder as to render the podcast unlistenable. When the audio works it’s a great way to stay up on the team, but often I have to delete whole podcasts because they’re unlistenable.

Can you get a better microphone or phone? The podcast sounds terrible.

This is a great podcast to listen to while driving or going for a run. Especially if you’re a sacramento kings fan.
