    Recently Discovered My Escape
Thank you for producing this podcast. I love the information you provide about the music and the interview with Les Baxter’s daughter was incredible. But it’s the music that helps me relax and escape to my “private island,” which only exists in my head. Love everything tiki.

Started listening to The Quiet Village from episode 1 thanks to recommendations from the Zen Tiki Lounge. This podcast is truly an awesome source for all music exotica. I do agree with Digitiki, the Tikiyaki Orchestra is amazing! Keep it coming!

A Perfect Show for a Chill Time
I discovered this podcast this year, and it’s opened my ears to so much in the world of exotica, lounge, and Hawaiiana that I didn’t know about. Some of DigiTiki’s interests don’t coincide with mine - his occasional forays into big band stuff aren’t really my cuppa - but he presents all the music in context and I end up listening just the same. If your experience is anything like mine, I’d recommend riding your bike at dusk around the suburbs, vibing with this awesome show. The spirits of Les Baxter, Yma Sumac, and Martin Denny are smiling down on The Quiet Village.

A broad and varied slice of music history
A huge chunk of my exotica knowledge comes from listening to this podcast. Mark is steeped deeply in exotica, but also ventures to related genres, such as calypso, spy, soundtracks and easy listening. Not everything he plays is a winner, but it's always fascinating.

    Relaxing and educating
I love this podcast, I listen to it while driving and whenever I'm stressed out to escape. I've learned a lot about different artists since listening to this podcast and really enjoy the wonderful music selection. Anyone who would like to become more knowledgeable or just wants to hear great music I recommend listening to this podcast.

    Slanderous Material--beware
A podcast called "The Quiet Village" by a DigiTiki, had some content on the latest podcast that is slanderous and damaging to a band I am currently a member of called the "Tikiyaki Orchestra". Mr. Riddle, who is no longer a member of the band, took it upon himself to announce on his podcast that the band no longer exists which is absolutely untrue and damaging to our audience. We have begun taking steps with our lawyer to bring legal action against Mr. Riddle and respectfully ask that Apple discontinue this podcast until this matter is settled.

    A podcast that never disappoints.
I've been listening to this podcast for years and it's never let me down. Music, occasional interviews, drink recipes and specials make this more than your normal music podcast. Special shows include all music shows like "Music for a Luau" and a fantastic set of shows featuring the music of the Bond films. Unexpected goodness like Jackie Gleason's Orchestra and "Music for a Dark Bar" make the 'cast anything but boring. Your host Digitiki guides you through the world of exotic music and more.

A Virtual Journey to the Quiet Village
Aloha! If you have an interest in Tiki, mid-century music history (and Bond movies) this podcast is a must listen. It has been a great addition to my listening library and given me some much needed mental relaxation on my commute. Pack your bags and make the journey to the Quiet Village.

Awesome intro to exotica, hapa haole, and other music
This podcast taught me so much about exotica, hapa haole, Hawaiian, and other lounge-y tunes. And I got to listen to awesome music too! Digitiki blends music and information better than any DJ I've ever heard. This is an awesome podcast, full of great tunes, great people, and great information!

My Mai Tai is empty, my iPod is full.
This is the podcast that educated me in exotica music. When I didn't know anything beyond Martin Denny, Digitiki's podcast and website steered me into the exotica rabbit hole and I couldn't be happier about it. Go back and listen from the beginning; there are tremendous episodes and interviews all through the entire run and continuing today. This is one of the very few podcasts where I keep every episode and re-listen to them on a regular basis. Awesome work.
