    Taking a break
Addendum: came back to hear what Scott’s take was on recent developments in the Middle East but was very disappointed that he was seriously downplaying what happened on October 7. Have you not seen the videos of the terrorists chasing down unarmed concert goers and murdering them. The old lady being kidnapped in a golf cart? That was no military op. What was the objective? No terrain being held. No strategic advantage gained. It was straight up murder. Then the terrorists who manage to get away proceed to hide among civilians. How about a little criticism about Hamas using human shields? I thought Scott had guiding humanitarian principles which led him to political positions which I disagreed with but could respect. But it seems that he and his guests just hate Jews and to that end are apologists for Islamic terrorists. I’m out for good now. I generally like the podcast and think Scott is well informed and very reasonable with his take on things even if I might disagree with him on some points. Many of his guests however are Hamas apologists. Scott acknowledges that Hamas engaged in beyond the pale terrorism on Oct 7. But guest after guest refuses to acknowledge the fact that despite the video of Hamas shooting defenseless fleeing or surrendering civilians, Hamas engaged in indefensible atrocities. One clown, trying to defend Hamas, said that most of what Hamas did falls in the category of “military hostage taking”. There is no such thing. Even if we were to ignore that Hamas thugs are not lawful combatants under international law, that law prohibits taking hostages and targeting noncombatants. Hostage taking is in fact a big no no under international law. All those old ladies and children kidnapped by Hamas (and we know that happened because some were released) are not lawful targets for any military operation. I won’t even get into the murder of retirees in their homes and the slaughter of a bunch of hippie kids partying at that rave. Real heroic stuff there. They blow any credibility they have by refusing to admit these facts. I am good with Scott but need a break from the insufferable Hamas apologists. Addendum: Dave Decamp is a hypocrite. He is deeply upset that a Hezbollah beeper exploded in a grocery store but says nothing about Hezbollah’s rocket attacks on Israel.

Extremely informative on geopolitics and security
I learn so much from every interview. You will hear from journalists, analysts, investigators, researchers, and historians. Nearly every international geopolitical topic gets covered and even domestic security and civili liberties related issues.

    Chip in Biden’s head
They probably put chip in Biden’s head when he had an operation prior to being president.

    Hmm
Well for being anti-war he sure does seem to want to justify russia’s invasion quite a bit. Pretty curious if you don’t have skin in the game to be an anti-war war apologist don’t you think?

    Love this pod!
If you want insight in trying to make sense of why the United States continues to make decisions that can generously be described as “counterproductive,” this is a must-listen. Scott does an incredible job of helping connect the dots in what seems like an increasingly insane world through his interviews with some of the most informed people on this earth.

Waste of time after so many episodes!
I can’t figure out if little Scott wants to drops his pants and bend over for who ever he agrees with and zero push back for one point he agrees with one person then flips when talking to someone else but no one and including himself have zero and I mean zero solutions just blahhhh blah no war let them do their thing as long as there’s no war! I don’t care about the American idea as long as theirs no war! But what happens when there is war?? Your crush their skulls and dominate them as fast as possible! Go somewhere else if you want to get correct non opinionated points on current foreign situations!

Scott has reduced down the data to focus on the most important issues to the most people . Social issues aside these perspectives need attention. All of us can come together on these issues and …. Agree or disagree we can have better conversations

    THE Foreign Policy Podcast
Absent Scott Horton I would have no idea what is really going on in US foreign policy. Fortunately we do have Scott Horton’s podcast and his wonderful books. So I do have a source to understand what’s really happening with US foreign policy. Keep up the great work! Jul 2023: still the best in foreign policy. Also, keep producing your great books! I listen to every one.

    Legend
I’m a late comer to the great work of Scott Horton but he deserves to go down in history as one of the greatest truth tellers on foreign policy and that we should’ve of heeded his and many others warnings.

    The BEST Foreign Policy Podcast
Scott Horton provides in depth analysis of the various conflicts the American Empire pursues. He’ll give history lessons you would never receive in a government run school. He has guests who have been on the ground in America’s Forever Wars.

. Scott Horton is one of the most knowledgeable people out there. Best podcast I’ve come across. Thank you, Scott.
  • Racerguy1234
Scott used to be pretty good.
I always listen but lately Scott is acting more like Hannity always interrupting, he asks a person on his show but keeps talking. Scott’s attitude has turned from inquisitive to acting kind of pissy in his remarks.

Ok on many topics But Leftest to Get Brownie Points On Isreal
This guy is sharp on lots of Stupid USA Wars - and I agree with his take on Yemen/Syria /Libya/ most all the other wars he argues are foolish waste of blood and treasure - they are- nad Yemen is actual genocide of kids via Suadi destroying civilian infrastruture. On the other hand for some reseaon he belives Isreal should roll over and just play dead when they terrorist fire rockets and missles at them. Why do I say TERRORIST and not WAR Fighters? Because the eveil men shoot the rockets and motars at dense civilian targets for maxium carrnage instead of targeting Isreal troops. If you are a Plaenstine man, get into an Isreal Army Base and start stabing or tossing gernades around killing uniformed Isreal army, then you are caught and you say I am doing an act of war to destroy Isreal forces so Plaestine can be it's own nation I would NOT call you a terrorist.Of course I would hope Isreal troops shot and killed them man before he could stab a armyman but I would not on the other hand say the man was a Terrorist. However the cowards who shoot rockets and motars at civilian Isreal targets are terrorist and should be caught and hung for murder of civilian targets. Scoot Horton will not admit that the provacation is on the Plaestine side NOT the Isreal one. If for the past 15 years no palestine man shot mortars or rockets or came across the border and killed ISreal people Isreal would have opened the border and let them pass and work freely in Isreal. But that is NOT the case. So to sum up Scott Horton sides with Palestine civilian Killers so the left will let him on their radio stations and not cancel him for bieng antiwar. It is perhaps a compromise he calculated long ago realizing he would get canceled and no radio jobs if he was fully on the libertarian right. So instead he is cozy with terrorists who hate Isreal and the lefty California stations keep him. But in most other areas he is correct.

The single best source for foreign policy info
Since I first came across the show I’ve learned so much and heard so many different perspectives on issues that are difficult to wrap your head around and often simplified excessively in the media. Thanks Scott for the hard work to really do the leg work and research to understand the full picture.

Would love your opinion on history specials
First and foremost thank you for your contribution to making the public know they cannot believe their lying eyes. Amazon prime has a lot of specials on Afghanistan and Iraq with all the soldiers on missions. You know all this stuff about what they are doing over there. How much are they (Amazon) Directors of documentary’s lying and misleading viewers? I guess I would like to know if it’s even worth watching if it’s all lies?

    Antiwar is awesome.
I just recently found this podcast, already my fav. Something there for most folks. You might want to listen at least 2 or 3 times to each episode because so much info is presented. Everyone should listen to at least a few episodes before deciding that it isn't for them.

Absolutely the BEST US foreign policy overview available today. The guests are experts on their topics and Scott Horton is an absolute genius. This is the stuff corporate media either ignores or intentionally censors. No matter what political party you ascribe to, this podcast should be essential listening.

Scott Horton is THE person for anything war related, and he is also very good on current events, philosophy, etc. His knowledge is endless. However, I would recommend listening to episodes at least three times each so you can actually process the flood of information. Thanks so much.
