Mr Amazo1Good stuffA great show. Solid insights. They try to avoid politics. They love comics and it is interesting to hear the thoughts of people who love something.
-
Ben.ForrestTime Stamps Would Be NiceThe content itself is great, sometimes it just takes too long to get to it. 20-30 minutes of chatting is too much in my opinion and I would love it if they would include time stamps so I could skip to the main content. If that were to happen it would be a 5 star podcast for me.

Inspace96WRA 4 lifeI have major anxiety issues but listening to WRA calms me down and feels like I’m hanging out with two nerdy buds
-
Jon HexThe Only Comic Podcast I Listen ToChris and Matt are congenial and knowledgeable hosts who delight all the time with their reviews and interviews. Their specialty segments are also engaging and well worth a trip to Patreon to support. A+, recommend to anyone who loves comics, comedy, a general good time

stevebdickerson🎧👍Love the two hosts, their goofy chemistry and great comic reviews. This show is essential listening each week for anyone trying to find the gems in back issue bins, and new release shelves.
-
Ad396I like thisNice to hear legit comics criticism that explores a lot of the technical aspects of comics, and it has a sense of humor
-
Cutman DanThis podcast rules, actuallyThis show understands comics are fun. And you’ll have fun listening, through great pop culture (not just comics) recommendations, informed takes on comics stories, characters and creators. The two hosts clearly have a deep love and deep level of knowledge. They consistently bring fun and entertaining Content. Thanks to Matt and Chris for putting this show out in the world.

tJbondzLike listening to old friendsI’ve been listening to these two for years. I love to receive notifications of new episodes.
-
JackdawApeWay, way better than SerialThis is still the podcast that has me hitting refresh every Monday morning.
-
bip bebopA little goes a long wayThey can be funny, insightful and and they seem like genuinely nice guys but how much you enjoy is going to depend on how much of that straight, white dude brand of smarm you can take.
-
Viva la Evolution!Good stuffI really like this podcast, its like the cotton candy of my comic podcasts. I enjoy these fellas. But one time they said that a comic made in a garage could never be compared to a professional comic and they both agreed it could never be the same level. And then I didn’t listen for a couple years after they said that. But its still good and you should try it, just wish those boys would get out of Marvel-and-DC-Land a bit more. That gets very tiring.
-
KlingondirtytalkGreat contentLove the show, these guys work hard to make an excellent podcast.

earth2 samI like it.Loving the abbr eves.

Van TweeThe BestIf you want to know everything there is to know about X-Men, listen to Jay & Miles. If you want to know everything ELSE about superhero comics (especially Batman and Spider-Man), there's no better place to start than this. The guests are great, and the segments are funny, opinionated and informative, but I tune in every single week for the comics reviews, which—even if I disagree with them (and I often do)—are always clever, articulate, comics-erudite, and made in good faith. More than just the best comics podcast, this is the single best place for comics-related content anywhere on the internet.

Another Mark C.Pod RaterRan all my podcasts through the Pod Rater app. The results of this one just said, “RULES!” HQC approved.

atnorwoodLegitimately my favorite pop culture podcastI’ve been listening to WRA for about nine years now, and I don’t know why I’m just now writing a review. Chris and Matt are my favorite comics commentators, even when I don’t agree with them (which is rarely). They have become incredibly thoughtful and insightful in how they talk about comics and creators. They are also some of the nicest people I’ve ever met in person. I’m such a huge fan and you should be too.

CaptSaraColdJust try iFanboy or somewhere elseThese two Ajax boys review books in ways that baffle me. Sometimes thoughtful discussions are jettisoned for the most hyperbolic stances on a quality, disregarding large portions of textual evidence for perceived creator intent. They weigh abstract against finished product as if both bring equal value to the table. Being completely real, I find Matt far more eloquent in his opinion. He tends not to immediately swing for the poles and comes off as more than just a collection of excitedly shouted brand names like his co-host Chris. I’d just say be cautious when recommending this to people. It’s a faltered balancing act between a guy who considers the nuanced angles in reviews/interviews and one who is the epitome of Comic Book Guy from the Simpsons. This ends up tipping War Rocket Ajax ever more into snobbish territory where punching down is king.
-
Jeremy WiggibsFYIThe War Rocket Ajax boys are consistently delivering that choice HQC (high quality content, y’all) and every episode is a good-good time. Plus, they love us!
-
Marvel Two-in-One Annual #7War Rocket Ajax rules!Legitimately one of my favorite podcasts. Chris and Matt are a delight to listen to every week.
-
@theanarchrisGood good pod boysI’ve been a listener for year and Matt + Chris ( and Harrison the Cat) are fantastic hosts who make excellent content. Everything Chris has said about Teen Titans is right btw.
-
Chinkerton2843Love the show, but…Give the people what they want, more Harrison!

CH WRA listenerGotta get my weekly WRA fix!I’ve been listening to Matt and Chris religiously for years now and WRA is the first thing I look for in my podcast feed on Monday morning. These days, specials like Comics Catch-up and Snack Situation are wonderful mid-week surprises. I always appreciate where they are coming from exactly because our taste in comics and media are not always the same. I might not like everything that they like but I’ve definitely come to appreciate their perspectives as long time comics readers, and you can’t deny their clear love for the medium. I’ve enjoyed listening to them over the years as they (and their circle of comics creator friends) have also grown in the industry.
-
Zandig Fan 4 LifeRestore intro bitsThe best show? Wish the good bits boys still did checks/recs and reviews on all weekly episodes. Still, always a good listen (even when they're wrong)
-
Dbcbw#1 HQC DaddiesThey’re the best on the net what can I say
-
Shinji008HQC!!!What more can you say but High Quality Content. I didn’t even need a machine to tell me that.
-
Gpacknett3Please don’t cancel Panel PresidentIt’s a five star podcast now but that’s because Panel President is still going. PP and every story ever are the only things I listen to. Occasionally if there’s a cool guest I’ll listen to them. But Chip Zdarsky and Erica Henderson can only come on so often, you know?
-
Late Night w/ Seth MeyersFunny and nice and goodNice show
-
btj61642Flagship Series of Klytus Media still the best oneI’ve been a listener for years and somehow never posted a review, but this podcast has always been a personal favorite. The Every Story Ever project really is, on top of always being a blast to listen to, a huge achievement in comics criticism and literary/historical analysis. Their marathon discussion of “Holy Terror!” alone is fascinating and insightful without ever losing the show’s baseline level of humor. Highly recommended.
-
Sn WtrsMy fav podcastI’ve been listening to WRA since the first Christmas special and have loved every episode. Chris and Matt (and Eugene) are hilarious and have great taste in comics, comedy, and music. They have great guests and their Every Story Ever and Panel President segments and episodes are awesome. All in all my favorite podcast.
-
InsertSydneyPunComfortI’ve been listening to WRA for like.... 5 years now. I don’t read as many comics as I used to, but there’s something nice about having these very constant forces in my life talk about stuff I don’t always understand because I’m not as versed in comics as I used to be. I have found quite a few recommendations thru this show (sex criminals for one, Ryan norths choose ur own adventure books for another) so that’s nice. I kind of wish they had on more lady and noncis guests as well as more poc guests.... it’s a platform that can be used to really give a voice to underrepresented groups in comics. And right now I feel like the bulk is mostly cis white dudes.

JVVVJVVJVVJVVVHey yo, remember that time Chris Sims apologized like an adult seems like a good person?Sweet deal
-
SKKKSHHSKKKSHHYo, remember that time Chris Sims harassed a woman who worked on the Punisher?Good times
-
quinnkhPeak entertainmentWRA is an example of two buds being absolutely stellar at entertaining the masses. Come for the rankings, stay for the banter, mic-close-ups, and the utter dismissal of characters and stories you once held dear (in the best way possible). Matt and Chris are just the best.

KibblesmithHands down, my favorite "comics & pop culture podcast."I started listening to WRA when I first started going to the gym -- TEN YEARS AGO. Hooray for my healthy lifestyle, but more so, hooray for keeping up a podcast of this quality for this long. It shocks me that they're not better known, although that may speak more to the subject matter: Comics, pop culture, video games, the occasional self-deprecating wrestling content. Not the easiest passions to get into sometime, but this is a show that MAKES it easy. The co-hosts, Chris Sims and Matt Wilson are longtime comics bloggers and journalists, and now over the years, accomplished comics creators themselves. Hearing them grow and expand their tiny empire has been a delight and wonder over the years, and I've made the leap from fan to friends to occasional guest — but I still listen every week at the gym, like I did ten years ago. And it's worth going back to those archives, if only to shore up familiarity with annual traditions like their Christmas and Halloween specials, movie commentaries, awards shows, and scripted narrative theme episodes (both hosts are "comedy people" as they say). But the real meat of the show is the incredible interview gets, deep dives with countless up-and-comers from comics world make it the perfect bridge to becoming a savvy comics reader, in a medium that is finally kicking open its doors to be more inclusive to creators from all backgrounds, across all publishing platforms. My personal favorite episodes: The rankings. They have a variety of ranking segments, expanding massive lists of comic stories or characters or quotes -- stretching into the hundreds or thousands -- assembled from fan-submitted lists that challenge the humbling depths of the hosts' expertise and off-the-top-of-their-heads trivia knowledge. Five Stars. Here's to another 10 years.
-
LaughingSombreroA favorite comic book podcast!I always look forward to the new episodes of War Rocket Ajax every Monday morning. Matt D. Wilson and Chris Sims put on a great comic book podcast!
-
bestdorkThe best comics podcastIt’s the best comics podcast. The Every Story Ever episodes should never be missed. Just so good
-
PopCultureNCGreat HostAs I have recently started comic collecting again, this has been a great source of information on new creators but also wonderful trips down memory lane with some of the “every story every” episodes. Great Show.
-
dcassinoOnly gotten better with timeWRA has been around for a long time, and it’s as vital as ever. They consistently have interesting guests, and the hosts’ experience means they know exactly how to draw out the best anecdotes from their interviews. Of course, what many listeners like best is the ranking segments- and that’s understandable. The rankings give them a chance to expound on comics and characters they love (and some they hate), with hilarious results that might make you shout at your phone.
-
DeathDeathDeath5 starsEasily my favorite comics podcast, Matt and Chris are wonderful hosts and the show is consistently fun and hilarious. I’d be recommending this for the dramatized reading of Spider-Man: The Fast Lane even if every other episode wasn’t also delightful. Comes highly recommended as a vapor blade investor and someone who LTA.
-
MalMercury13Awesome show!Been listening for over three years now and it’s always entertaining and funny. Love Every story ever!
-
vaporbladepatronGreen M&MThe green M&M is the true panel president.
-
hwDesperadoAn excellent use for your earsWar Rocket Ajax is a hoot. Skirting the line between high-brow and low-brow, Chris and Matt are very entertaining hosts and "true professionals." Each week, they share their latest feelings on hot sause, BBQ, wrestling, and (most of all) comics as only two guys who have sold, reviewed, and written comics can. Always sincere, usually postive, and often punchy, this podcast will try to make you feel good and try to inform you what's good and fun in comics (and the world in general). They get really excited about things! And I recommend you stick around for the end of each episode to get a special thanks that ever fails to suprise me and make me smile.
-
Rex DarttWorld's Best Comics, Pop Culture, and Barbecue Podcast!I've been listening pretty much since the beginning, and Chris and Matt are always entertaining, even on the occasions they're discussing something I'm not interested in. And sometimes they make me interested. I basically became a wrestling fan, much to my surprise, after they turned me on to Lucha Underground, and I've found out about many comics I wouldn't have otherwise known about.
-
Jávier FílesESE Is Dope AFI love the show and the interview segments are great but the best is their Every Story Ever segments where they rank every story (ever). It is great fun, and funny insight into the world of comics. A must listen to for comics fans.
-
filipinowariobest comic podcastMatt, Chris, you rule. 🤘
-
JasonAaron's Gas LeakMy favorite comicbook podcastChris and Matt have lead me to more new comics and stories through the every story ever episodes than I can count, and the weekly interview and review segments are always great. I always look forward to my weekly dose of S-rank HQC.

SettlechaosC'Mon Now ListenIf you are not listening to this podcast what are you doing with your life? This is personally my most favorite podcast. Hosts Matt Wilson and Chris Sims give great reconmendations, comic reviews, and interviews with comic creators in a fun and entertaining way!
-
MightyMaxTH.Q.C. - High Quality ContentA comic book podcast that hooks you in by interviewing comics professionals, but keeps you there with fun antics by the hosts. If you like laughter, lists and insight to their daily (weekly?) lives, this is the podcast for you. This is the podcast that also started the trend of ranking things against one another. Their 'Every Story Ever' episodes are always a joy. Honestly, it's great. It's like hearing a fun conversation between two good friends. Probably because they are good friends. The hosts are Matt D. Wilson and Chris Sims. Now you may be thinking, "Are you talking about those two guys who also do a podcast where they watch movies and eat snacks?" Yes but this is not that podcast. So, go on up to your search bar, look for 123 Gimmick Street, find out it isn't nearby, then listen to some War Rocket Ajax on the drive there. Let's do it.

13 Johnny 13Go and listen to every single episode. My favorite podcast by far. I even listen to the wrestling episodes because I enjoy their voices and gentle demeanors. I hope it goes on forever and becomes a daily show. Also check out their Movie fighters podcast. Update: It has been 2 years since my last review. I still love it and canot recommend it highly enough. If I am listening to another podcast when this comes out, I stop that one and switch to this in case I die before I get a chance to hear it.
-
Rick (Jeff and Rick Present)The Comic Book DudesTalk about an insane back knowledge of comic books. These two guys have some serious knowledge on books, and they have some concrete opions. Agree or not, they make it an interesting conversation.
