FJC509The annoying cackle has its limits.A new addition to the show has kinda ruined the podcast for me. A person who fakes laughs at everything and for some reason her mic volume is really high. I tried fast forwarding when she speaks but her random laugh/crackle always breaks through. I just can’t listen anymore man.

Fes123456Great Comics PodcastSometimes the front catch up goes too long, I would also have them be mindful of who cuts off who but they know their stuff! These folks take great deep dives into social justice aspects of comics. Anyone who complains about the intersection of politics and comics is dumb in these reviews. Would love more queer and POC voices on the podcast Please try to focus these episodes

minlanWoof! What happened to this show?Trash. Used to be enjoyable. Now some fool arguing about star wRs as exclusive club. This show has become trash.
-
TheReinceGot too politicalBeginning of episode 553 was the last straw. Gonna miss listening to the gang.

SuperiorumJust dudes being dudes.Old white men critiquing a black woman’s and black non-binary person’s work (Stephanie Williams and Vita Ayala) and saying it’s not nearly as a good as a white woman’s (Gail Simone) felt weird and gatekeep-y. Left a bad taste in my mouth. I don’t know. This is why y’all need more women on the show.
-
BlueRhian1980I love this showYou can’t go wrong with Talking Comics. Steve, Bob, Joey, Aaron, and John bring a variety of views and tastes to the show and are all insightful and knowledgable. It’s this diversity that is the strength of the show in my opinion. And, you know, they all seem like genuinely good people. Give it a listen!

C DearborneBest comics podcast. Periodt!!!Out of all the comic book podcasts that I listed to, THIS one is the one I look forward to and never miss. The respectful way in which they discuss diversity and inclusion is fantastic. I’ve found so many awesome new books outside Of DC and Marvel because of them. All of the commenters here are so delightful and respectful of each other but it’s great to see them challenge each other as well. This 2021 line up is phenomenal!!

MR C NJStarted out GreatBeen listening for almost 5 years. It started out to be such a fun insightful look at current and upcoming comics. In the last year has shifted dramatically to SJW and liberalism. Endless talk of inclusion and diversity as long as you agree with their points. If you lean conservative they want know part of you.
-
BlakegriffenpunchTalk comics not curse politicians! They started a recent podcast cursing out a politician when they should be talking about comics.
-
Skyjugglerback to the beginningIf you can find a way to hear the early episodes of his podcast with the original team, I recommend that. I want to keep this positive so I’ll just say listen for Bob, he should have his own podcast and just talk classic comics. Please.
-
enriquesalazar24Leave it alone.I use to listen to this podcast. Why did you make a statement about your brainwashed account on what happened on the 6th? TDS has ruined media info. Keep politics and SJW crap out of comics.

DC2(SW)HillSo tired.I really started out liking this show six months ago but their constant need to remind each other how in-tune to the world they are has really brought me to unsubscribe. Nothing wrong with being thoughtful and mindful but 20 minutes of constant “mothering “ at the start of each episode is way too much. One of the host reads his lightning round reviews word for word. He reminds me of a blog host who thinks reading his post are a podcast. This same guy has a huge old guy crush on a lady author who guest host occasionally. It’s very uncomfortable to hear him droll on air. The same part time women host is all for good representation of women characters but is often critical of creator works to a fault and mutes her own points. There’s some “Hotel California” type speech in every book she reviews.
-
ThereelbradbellThe best Comics Pod on the Internet!Bob and the crew are the most courageous and compassionate comics podcasters you can find.
-
Jdp4Pretentious comic book podcastIf you like listening to pretentious geeks talk about comic books this is just the podcast for you.
-
Batman is a real thingYIKESA podcast for those who’re into listening to adult men cry (at least once per episode) about how cute Moon Girl or Squirrel Girl are, or looking for indie “erotic comics” recommendations, or identify with complaints that a Batman comic is bad bc it’s just a Batman comic (*in valley girl voice* - “uhm, like, WHY does Batman have to have so many GADGETS???”).
-
ComicRobbThe best podcast ever....Love this podcast! Wish it came out more frequently. Talking Comics brings a great trio (sometimes 4) of people together that picks apart comics, comic related movies, etc, they all share their views on it no matter good or bad. I’ve never met them, but it’s almost like they are family. Once a new episode hits, I can’t wait to hear it. I don’t even have time to read comics anymore, but I’m still hooked on this podcast!
-
TommyR80Positive to a faultI started listening to the podcast because I thought they brought a refreshingly positive spin to the comics that were being published today. But after listening to the recent podcast it’s obvious now that their reviews are not objectively sound and in some cases almost evangelical. The way they Spoke about Birds of prey (the film) made me think they have an agenda to push. I’m sure the movie is fine but If it were as good as they were making it out to be it would have been number one or at the very least word of mouth would have helped the movie become more of a success that it is. I was also bothered by their talk of the new batgirl YA graphic novel and how they twisted themselves in knots to not say the title Killing Joke. I get that the book is problematic but I’m bothered by the intention to try and cancel a work of art because you don’t agree with it. The book is Killing Joke, okay! I still plan on listening because I do find some of the positive comic talk refreshing but if they continue to have an agenda of supporting work solely based on the fact that it fills some representation quota and not because it’s truly good, then I may have to unsubscribe.
-
sniffy2007RefreshingI just discovered these guys and immediately subscribed. They keep it light and don’t seem as jaded or burned out as the guys over on Fanboy. They cover more titles as well. Not too cool for the room!
-
Reviewerr1Content drags too muchAn hour show only includes 10 mins of content. The host drags content to make the show longer and it makes it not entertaining.

Rulkamaniac*political commentary intensifies*Just a few short months ago I sent a thoughtful email to the show noting how much I enjoyed it and how thankful I was for all their recommended readings. I’m still thankful but my enjoyment of the show has dissipated greatly. The hyper feminism, political views, and constant lamenting of the follies of the world have just become too much for me stick with. As a result of the issues mentioned, the crew has had a very hard time staying on task in general. It seems the crew are, or already have, trying to evolve the show in to half comics and half personal/political talk. Which, if you want to do that type of show, great! It’s your show, after all. But maybe consider creating a new show that follows that format. Ladies of Valhalla is a perfect example of that. Unfortunately, I think the main show has really just become a side show for Ladies of Valhalla and LOV is the real main show. It should also go without saying an entire segment on your favorite band should not be a main topic of a comic podcast. Pretty disappointed to be moving on.

FredFeldmanCosmic PresenceIf you'd love an unhealthy dose of neo-Marxist SJWism, non-selfaware groupthinking, and boring conversation, then this is the podcast for you! Enjoy.

kewldeezSelf indulgent nonsense.I wish I loved anything as much as these people love themselves.

robin1042Great TeamThis podcast just gets better and better. They’re interviewing more creators, asking interesting open questions and really letting them talk. The podcasters work exceptionally well as a team. Great entertainment every week!

FlowdailyThe “This Week In Wonder Woman Podcast”This show has the best intro song hands down. They’re knowledgeable about the industry, and Bob is a human encyclopedia. Joey is funny and whatever woman is nice enough to guest on the show is always brilliant, BUT this show spends far too much time on their personal lives imho. Especially the host. It’s called Talking Comics. Not talking endlessly about what I did over the weekend, while moving, on my vacation, etc. OH and there are other comics besides Wonder Woman. Could you be any more blatant about focusing on this series so you can come across as woke. Rarely is this series even remotely close to the best story that’s out that week, yet it always takes center stage. Tiresome. There’s a difference between finally giving a comic it’s due and forcing it down the listeners’ throats. There are far better indie comics featuring female protagonists. Why not focus on those and give WW a few months off?

narakkuFair and JustConsidering the shift of podcast hosts throughout the years the mission statement and resolve has remained a constant. Although I do miss the quibbles between Steph and Bobby, the entertainment factor has not slowed down one bit. They are extremely knowledgeable on the subject matter. Whether it be “Milk Man Man” (a real thing, lol) or “March” they have all their basis on lock. Thank you guys! I consider you all a part of my family. Hope all gets better Jess, can’t wait to hear you back on air.- Aaron

RonP1979This Podcast Has Become Way Too PoliticalI used to love this podcast and listened to it faithfully every week, but lately it has become way too political. I still enjoy it but don’t listen to it as much. Every time one of my favorite comics are mentioned, the hosts often go into long political rants and opinions despite the comic book topic. They are now even only seem to be picking comics and etc. that seem to promote their political agendas. I am a very open minded person, and I am for women’s rights, gay rights, equality etc, but I don’t like how certain social justice messages are preached over and over in this podcast and the hosts no longer seem to even give room to anyone else’s views. The commentators on this podcasts are very knowledgeable and can be entertaining, but some of their constant political discussions can be a disappointing distraction at times. Is this a comic book podcast or is this a political podcast? It’s really hard to tell these days. I miss the days when Bobby was here because he kept things so much more balanced.

DelilamanumiThrow the credibility right out the doorThis podcast lost all credibility with me when they did an end of the year award podcast where they nominate books that half the group haven’t read. Some said that I haven’t read it but I’ll back you on the nomination. Just like the Academy Awards they nominate books that no one has heard of or things that scream “I’m a hipster”. Also to get an award, all you have to do is appear on their show at sometime. They will then talk about you like the second coming of Jesus even though they may be a mediocre talent at best.

tnnsbawGreat Comic Review Podcast!A great comics review podcast & the hosts have an easy dynamic. It's always out on time every Wednesday morning for new comic book day.

Mikeman1090My favorite comic book podcastBeen listening to this podcast since 2011 or so and they've always been great. Really great for staying up to date on the comic book industry, they go into great depth of the books, review a wide array of different books, and have great personalities. I personally really enjoy podcasts where you can really tell that everyone is friends with each other and comfortable with one another because it makes the rambling much more enjoyable when it occurs. I also like longer podcasts because I don't typically listen to a lot of podcasts anyways so it helps me to enjoy the current one I'm listening to. Overall, I've grown to really love the talking comics podcast network as a whole and seeing them grow. I hope they continue for as long as possible!
-
willverbToo much feminismListen I don't mind feminism but the one commentator Bob just can't stop talking about female characters like they are the only thing that matters. He is an old hippie type who makes some good observations and even some great reviews on comics but can't or won't let a comic review about a female character slide into a feminist rally call. Plus I'm tired of politics in my comic podcast. This one loves to hate Trump. Which is fine but I'm here for the comic reviews not presidential ones.
-
Podcast punditThis isn’t a comic book podcastIf you want to hear about Broadway and the Tony awards this is he right podcast for you. I felt tricked though because I was thought this would be a comic book podcast based on the title of the show.
-
The Drunk VikingHas potential, but still pretty strongly focused on politicsThere’s a place for politics discussion in comics, but often it comes of as attacking. Just not my cup of tea.
-
e.j. ruthlessBringing comics backLove listening to this group discuss all the latest comics as a man who’s just getting back into collecting comics like I did as a kid it’s great to be able to listen in and pick out the storylines I don’t want to miss. I also enjoy picking up on some of the titles that I would have overlooked but that they have brought to my attention. Thanks for helping me fall back in love with a childhood hobby that brought me much joy. E.j.
-
BritianicaHow the mighty have fallenThis used to be one of my favorite podcasts. What was once an amazing show about comic books has devolved into the hosts talking about what they did last weekend. Bobby and Mara are sorely missed and Joey’s sporadic appearances aren’t enough. Keep up the good work Bob - you are a wealth of knowledge. Thank you for what you do.
-
Elijah Shephard ChurchLovely people, great podcastThey are doing a great job here, not only being informative and funny but most importantly speaking from their hearts and with undeniable passion. I've been listening for years; if you like comics, you should be listening as well.
-
Mr. RonzinoBest Podcast PERIODThe show covers a wide range of comic book news and reviews. It's a great group of hosts with plenty of chemistry. I picked up a lot of comics that are really good because of their reviews. Great job!!!
-
Bryan TessitoreThis is the Comics Podcast!Informative and entertaining! Talking Comics has caught me up on the goings of the industry from a lengthy time away. The hosts are funny, and really know their stuff. The reviews are honest and thoughtful. I look forward to future episodes and appreciate the effort put into the show. Thanks team!
-
waveserpentGreat show with incredible hosts.Yep. They're really good.
-
GabrielpaganGreat hosts and content with annoying tech issueThe hosts are great and have good chemistry. Very enthusiastic. Good subjects and format. Unfortunately they have terrible mic form. They are always bumping into the mics and tables. All those bumps are super annoying. If they had more discipline and mic form they'd have a top comics podcast.

Mark to MajesticHold The Whiny Political Comments PleaseFor a self professed nerd like myself; Podcasts about video games and/or comic books are a dream come true. I love being able to listen in on fellow comic book fans express their opinions regarding today's comic book scene However, when the opinions do more than simply drift into the political realm; but become a blatant recurring theme then I have to say it's time to find another show. Look, I get it, today's political climate in America is very divisive and everyone has a view or opinion. However, I do not spend my time downloading and listening to a comic book podcast for the host's political commentary. The fact that on a recent episode one of the hosts actual went as far as to claim that Captain Americas story arc in "Secret Empire" was "too close to home" and that it made him feel hopeless about the next few years (i.e. Remainder of President Trumps current term in office) is utterly ridiculous. If an imaginary storyline about a super soldier turning his back on all he stood for and installing a dystopian false utopia makes you "sad" or "hopeless" because you somehow equate that to the current President then perhaps reviewing comics isn't for you. It's too bad because I do enjoy the other aspects to the show but I can't get seem to get an episode lately that doesn't have some snide snarky or overreactive comment. Therefore I'm going to have to recommend a pass on this one. If I want political hysteria or political commentary that over blows the state of the country then I'll tune into MSNBC and save myself the trouble of downloading and listening to this podcast.
-
EliDETGreat show! This is one of the most entertaining, informative, and well thought out comic podcast on iTunes. Great job!
-
FredzietancaTop comic talkTC is quite possibly the best comics podcast I listen to.
-
Wolf WarnerGreat PodcastGreat job with the podcast! Very classy and deliberate approach that was captivating to listen to. I found myself agreeing and disagreeing in a good way. Plus I do read most of the books you guys review..so I'm in for the whole arc with Talking Comics!

Jb_cherryJust walk away.It has gotten worse with just about every episode since the early part of 2016. When I am done listening to an episode the general feeling I am left with is: 1. I'm a horrible person because I don't agree with their politics. (This is supposed to be a comic book podcast by the way) 2. If the books I am reading don't have a female lead, or female writer, or female artist, or at least don't recognize females in some way, I shouldn't be reading that book. In fact, I'm a horrible person for reading that book and should immediately go pick up some anime and everything else that Mara loves. 3. I want to hear about comics, but I'm a bad person when I get frustrated over how politics and other outside issues get shoehorned into a conversation about my hobby. Another comment about this podcast nailed it when they said it is too much of an echo chamber with everyone on the show suffering from group think. Bob is the best part of the show. He seems to love the books he loves honestly, everyone else seems to have a false sense of excitement about some of the books and topics that are foisted upon them by the host. I would love for this review to be different, and it would've been if there was little political talk, less rambling about...everything. The lightning round is 3 minutes per person with 25 minutes of aimless discussion afterward. Ugh, no I'm rambling. I'm just gonna walk away.
