Grote is a great listen

I live downstate IL and always subscribed to the podcast to listen to Bernstein. Big fan of him since the Boers and Bernstein days. Will have to unsubscribe now because this radio station gets rid of all their best people.

I still love several people at the station, and I will continue to support their work outside of The Score. However now that Abbatacola, Goff, Rozner, Boers, and Dan Bernstein are all gone I no longer wish to support the station as a whole.

Dan is an outstanding voice in Chicago sports, one of the best ever on the Score. Unfortunately, since the pairing with Marshall, I have never listened to Bernstein’s show so little. And that’s over 25 years of daily listening. Sorry, but too often Marshall is just too boring. A vanilla sports talk radio host who sounds too small for a market like Chicago. Of all the choices you had, it sure seems like you picked the worst to pair with Dan. It would be great to get Goff back in the lineup, but please, just do something asap.

Dan Bernstein is a staple of Chicago radio and living in LA it’s nice to be able to listen to him talk about the teams I care about. Harris is a great addition!

Some remember Bernstein and how he cowardly towed that company line. The arrogant fool got the message early that we don't want to hear his religious beliefs. It was awesome, he complied immediately and never did that religion thing again. And he never brings up what he learned from it. How he sold himself out and has no honor.

I’ve been a score listener for years now. While there were always shows/hosts I preferred over others, no show on this station was bad enough for me to turn off my radio/podcast, up until a couple years ago. Bernstein was never my favorite, but I would tolerate listening to him because he always had good guests and his shows were interesting enough. That has changed over the years, as he’s become insufferable to the point I’d rather drive in silence than listen to him. He talks down to everybody who has a different opinion than him. I get that it’s sports radio and that can be part of the bit, but he’s just whiny to the point it’s sad to listen to. He says a lot of words to say nothing, and he’s generally wrong about most things and will never admit it after the fact. I wish I could leave just Bernstein a one star review because I used to love listening to Holmes, but unfortunately The Score paired them together. This isn’t a view that has come up in the recent spat with Barstool, but the way he talked down to him just highlights how entitled he is and how he treats people. I hate to leave reviews and bad mouth people, but Dan is just a mean guy and it’s too bad to see so many good media people struggling to find a landing spot, and he’s gotten away with being bad for so long

Bernstein is annoying

The other guy is cool it’s the Bernstein guy that’s the problem. Something is off with that guys brain. If this company was smart they would fire that old lib and hire someone else

Had to stop listening because of Bernstein. The guy had horrible takes on sports and a deep history of saying some VERY inappropriate things. God speed to both of them but I’m out.

This show is not well done. DB has no idea what he's talking about and seems to live in a fantasy land. Old geezer who doesn’t yet know he’s obsolete. Sad actually! I’d rather stick needles in my eardrums.

It was so obvious how jealous Holmes has always been towards Parkins. Years ago Holmes got into it with Parkins on air. Pulling personal strings and last week his smugness in trying to tell Parkins to enjoy everything. Holmes needs to buy a ladder and get over it.

The show is great. I listen every day. However since Herb left the posting times are wild and inconsistent. It can be hours from the conclusion of the broadcast for the podcast version to be posted. It's a 5 star show with a 3 star upload time.

Laurence Holmes is phenomenal.

So now along with regular ad breaks, 670 the score is going interrupt interviews with longer ad breaks.

Every day I get around 13 new episodes of this show. Each hour gets its own episode, some segments are also split out into individual episodes, and recently there's also an episode for the entire show. Can we go back to how it used to be with just one episode per hour of the show? I unfortunately unsubscribed, because it was getting annoying to have to figure out which episodes were the ones I wanted and delete the rest.

I’ve been a P1 listener since 1992 and I love this show. I listen every day. Don’t change anything.

These guys give the worst views on Chicago sports I’ve ever seen. They cherry pick things and call there fans stupid for doing what they do truly the worst sports Chicago show on the air. Fire these guys before we fire anyone on a sports team please.

Inserting obnoxious ads in the middle of a segment is a terrible format. The hosts or guest will be in the middle of a sentence and an ad will pop in for Instacart.

So a white female nfl sideline reporter’s job is safe because she is white?????? Dan and the boys never disappoint. The anti- white racism in America is as strong as ever. Thanks for never letting me down with your clueless comments.

Love the show, but put the podcasts back in order when you release them. This new jumbled format you’re using, with partial episode cuts, and not in order is both confusing and annoying.

When I can’t listen live then I go to the podcast!

This is the best show in the city. Excellent sports discussion and so much more.

Live in the Elkhart/South Bend, IN area. Have listened to both Host on the shows they have had before they joined up. Best radio show in Chicago hand down.

Holmes is pompous and insufferable. I liked him when I first started listening to him, but once I got to know the guy..pass. Dan is an old grump but he’s smart about sports and intelligent guy (yes he’ll also make sure you know that). But Dan by himself or with Leila was solid, but Holmes and all his fake stories..pass. I’d rather take a fake jog like he always says he does than listen to this show any longer. Unfortunate.

GREAT SHOW!

The show itself could be really good. Lawrence talks way too much and generally dominates a topic. Dan is barely heard at all. Lawrence is better served having his own platform while Dan and Leila or Dan and Connor made for a way better show. Also, way too much white people/black people talk. We go to escape not to relive what is going on in the world.

But one reason I couldn’t listen anymore several years back were the large, seemingly unending blocks of commercial ad segments. I listened to the score from my own HS days to sending my kid off to college because it was a perfect, hilariously enjoyable, uplifting and harmless diversion. I rejoined three years ago when they were so slow to, but finally and seemingly begrudgingly transferred to podcast modalities. It was thoughtful and uninterrupted sports talk. Now the slow adapters have caught on to 8 minute ad blocks with a nonsense teaser thrown in to keep you from forwarding. It’s now more stressful to have ads repeated ad nauseam. The hosts niggling complaints about everything are funny only when we are not forced to listen to idiocy that passes for repetitive ad buys.

I love listening to Bernstein.and greatly miss Boers but LOHO is the next best thing

When these two talk sports, they’re an enjoyable listen. They don’t talk about sports very often, though.

I’ve enjoyed listening to Dan for two decades, but feel he’s always been at his best with a cohost. Leila Rahimi has been that perfect cohost for him (plus she was great on “The King of Queens ;) Was happy for her but selfishly disappointed when she got her new gig, leaving Dan solo four days a week. But it’s fun to hear them recapture that spark every Wednesday.

Very poor content. Lots of politics music gambling and racism. Not enough sports. Also important to mention why is a group that represents 2% of the america population have both hosting slots on your best time slot and over 50% of the jobs at the station? The station needs more diversity hirings like Leila. Mitch and other executives it is 2021 you can’t just hire white men from the north shore that you met at temple, you’re going to get in trouble for discrimination. I suggest doing a rapid diversity initiative. GET SOME WOMEN OF COLOR ASAP and end the north shore ol’ boys club! I will be boycotting listening and advertisers until we have some people and women of color on air.

I don’t think Bernstein should be allowed to take days off anymore. I’m still feeling different after Rongey called himself “Daddy”. I’ve showered twice today. This is terrible.

I’ve been a big fan of Bernstein since the late 90s and through his years with Boers. I just “get” his sense of humor and respect his ability and willingness to tell the truth on any given subject. I don’t always agree with him but I do always enjoy the listen. The addition of Laila has been better than I expected and they complement each other well. This is definitely better than a 4-star show and likely it’s rating is from thin-skinned callers whom Dan’s lit up for trying to make dumb points. Go Sox!

Leila is a plus and this program has excellent Cubs insights and guests.

Dan is a better host with Leila on his side. I cannot wait to see you guys in Arizona Spring Training 2022.

Love addition of Lelia! Missed Connor when he was let him. Bernstein is mostly blah....reminds me of Kap on ESPN...Verrrry full of himself. Dude claims to be highly intelligent, .....yet can’t get enough farting? Show improved with addition of Lelia!
