PxxxxxxyzGrand Victorian era adventure!Tasty hint of Victorian tech and supernatural. Did I mention THE WORLD BUILDING? I re-listen to this series several times to analyse the masterful world building. The characters are unique, fun and well crafted! If I were in charge of a studio, I would buy the TV rights to this

rdmyers97115Funky Steampunk GoodnessThis is another Podcast from Morris and Ballantine. This one is a short story anthology based in their Ministry of Peculiar Occurrences world. Their setting is a Victorian Steampunk Alternate world. Many of the Authors are from the Podcast community. The stories try to flush out the setting by going places the novels, which are written by Morris and Ballantine, do not. These stories are also available to purchase in e-book formats. Either way, brew a pot of tea, sit and enjoy these tales. This show has an irregular schedule.

Cian Colum Cille McDonnachaidhVery enjoyable!Short fiction anthologies have always been among my favorite forms of literature and Tales From the Archives is a wonderful example of that translated to audio format. Having different authors contribute keeps it from becoming stale and this world is a very flexible take on the steampunk genre. The two main characters are interesting, entertaining and voiced well. Having come to this podcast from the authors' interview with the League of Steam, I am quite pleased to have another enjoyable steampunk podcast to listen to.

silverdragnGreat Book, Good podcastPeculiar Occurances, the first book in the Ministry series, is wonderful, lots of fun, a little dark and twisty. The podcasted short stories that go along with it are also wonderful, not all of the readers can keep up the same quality we have come to expect from the book's authors.

SyreeBuy the book! You'll love it!I'm a huge fan of these two authors individually. But together they seem to make magic happen. I'll have to admit that I've only listened to the first episode of this podcast-way back when it came out. That was enough to get a taste of the characters and made the book much more enjoyable. After reading the (well written-foo on you that say otherwise) book and really getting to know the characters and the world they are engaged in, I can't wait to listen to the rest of these "tales" here! Thanks Pip and Tee for creating these podcasts and making them available for FREE! I know I greatly appreciate the effort. And the results to you are that I have bought your books and will continue to do so! (Geist was wonderful btw!)

IrishTCatSteamPunk AdventuresI will start my review with a mini diatribe on why a lot of what has been classified as Steam Punk Retroactively is not in my favorite books to rereads. It is because the ills of society trumps the fun a book is suppose to give you. There's nothing worse than reading a book and you wind up feeling worse than you did when you started to read. These Pod casts set in the Ministry World have that level of enjoyment I crave and desire and need. I am not anti Message books but I am Anti Message Trumps Enjoyment so you can be made to feel miserable as well. I eagerly wait for the rest of the Pod casts to come out even though I am only through the first 2 Tales. Excellent work you guys and gals.
