black_macabreFun stuffAs a seasoned player of 25 years, I tip my cap to your approach and how simple you make the basics out to be. As it should be. Fun to listen to.

BlazerscopeGreat podcastIve listened since the beginning, always great to get a new show. Its a very unique podcast.

juan2141Great podcastThis is one of my favorite podcasts, and I hope they keep coming!
-
my7guitarsI like itI enjoy the casual and informative conversation about his guitars and experiences. I'm fairly new to this podcast and have listened to several episodes - from what I've heard so far, I appreciate that he doesn't make sexist remarks. I wanted to specifically mention that in the review, because frankly, sexists remarks in any degree are just plain tiring. I think he understands that his audience isn't just men. Thanks Loren.

FhyridkfnrhshsfYou've been warnedTo start I would like to say I hate being that negative faceless internet troll. I'm a subscriber to about 15 music/guitar related podcasts. I ran across this one and listened to a few episodes to get a taste for it. In all honesty it's absolutely unlistenable. If you enjoy rambling monotone with no definitive topic this is for you. In today's episode we covered push ups, the kind of car the host drives, his new boss in an unrelated field, and facial hair. I gave 1 star bc negative 5 wasn't an option.

i4USAInformative InfoVery informative show from an experienced guitarist.
-
Turtle441LameSome guitar podcasts are info driven, presenting a lot of great, detailed info. Some are more personality driven, with more emphasis on the joking around. And then there's this guy, who's by himself talking to his iPhone in his truck. Not worth your time.

ryguy48568I enjoy listening to this guyI usually listen on my way to work. Really enjoy the podcast. I wish more musicians did this type of thing

Black dartLove Loren's Style!!Loren's straight forward style is great for listening. There's no posing, posturing, or pretending with Loren. He is extremely humble and freely admits when he isn't an expert in a given area or makes a mistake. He is truly concerned about his listeners' needs, desires, and experience. He lays everything out in simple terms and always has interesting facts and opinions about the topics he covers. I'd love to hear more about acoustic guitars though Loren!! Thanks and keep up the great work!!

CJ who deyHanging out with a guitar guyThis podcast feels like you're just shooting the breeze with a buddy with a lot of guitar experience. I'm not huge into gear or the quest for tone like he is, but even when he spends a lot of time on that, I still enjoy listening to what he has to say. I do start each episode hitting the forward-15-seconds button about 5 times because it always takes him a good 1:20 to get through the standard intro, but it's all good from there.
-
Batarang9very coolIt's like having a good friend tell you what he has found out about the guitar keep putting them out you rock !!!
-
Vault101DudeGreat!Really enjoyed it!!
-
postgainCome here to learn and think differentlyThis is the only guitar podcast to listen to as it doesn't tell you how bad your tone is and what kind of gear you need to buy to be great. This podcast lets you make your own decisions and to follow your own path with some great guidence from our humble host.

Fernie3000InspiringGreat info! Always something new and interesting. This show inspired me to start my own podcast a few months ago! Thanks Loren

44NiftyToo much ambient noiseSounded like he was recording it in his car while he was driving.
-
WasteO$Enjoyable ListenI downloaded about 10 of these to see what it was all about. My first impression was this guy seems like someone I would hang out with but I'm not sure I want to keep listening- he talks about his kid a lot & doesn't seem to know much more about gear than I do. Maybe that episode just wasn't great because I listened to the next 9 in a row & enjoyed each one more than the last & will be downloading more

PiNKFL0yDExcellent Podcast on everything Guitar...Been listening for a while now... Informative and interesting, covering different topics to do with the guitar by a guy just like the rest of us (but he can play MUCH better than me.. FOR NOW..) Highly recommended show...

You when you were drunk.Review for you to view. This podcast is excellent and contains a lot of useful information with regard to guitars and the associated gear. Since I primarily play acoustic, a lot of the content doesn't interest me specifically, but it doesn't matter, I just want to hear about guitars. The only realy complaint I have, and I understand that it can be difficult to find time for everything, is that there aren't enough episodes to keep me going. Ideally and unrealistically, there would be two plus hours of new content daily, so I could commute & listen to The Guitar Podcast.

Roman5978Great Podcast For Everything GuitarA great place to gain general knowledge and insight on all things guitar related. I have learned a ton from the gear reviews, discussions and from Loren's personal opinions. Really cool to find a podcast from a guy who teaches guitar, plays in church, and still appreciates old Metallica. Well worth starting from the first podcast.
-
Bird.Hunter.JoeGreat podcastThis is a really fun podcast for anyone who likes and plays guitar. Its easy to listen to and the points made are useful for novices to veteran players. I like the "feel" of this podcast. It isn't preachy or negative. It is one dude sharing his opinion and I can really dig it. Good stuff.

Mikee101Can't get eough of this podcst. Always what i've wanted to listen to and more!!(Mike from Waukesha, WI) This is a great podcast about everyinthg guitars. Loran is a very knowledgable and respectful person. With the musical ability and knowledge he has he could be soooo arogant like other musicians I know but instead he uses his experience and passion to convey and help the listener in every way possible. I strongly recommend this podcast to anyone, starting out or experienced that has a passion for music and guitars............ Cheers,

Guitarguy1964Great podcast! If you love guitars you'll love this podcast! Very intelligent discussion about guitars, no fooling around! I look forward to every new episode
-
BrokenCylonWewt!!!Wonderful podcast, I've recently reunited w/creating music...started w/keys, then I set my focus on guitar, but have been out of the loop for quite awhile...this is perfect for refreshing buried knowledge as well as acquiring new knowledge regarding gear, tone & playing styles...this guy is consistent, level headed & pleasant to listen to anytime, indeed a trooper...so Tysm man!!! Update: This guy has now been at this for two years!!! Way to go man, Ty...

mattnbeckyStands out among guitar podcastsI've downloaded - and subsequently deleted - dozens of guitar podcasts. Almost all fall into the same old patterns - either taking 20 minutes to say what could be said in five, or patting themselves on the back while looking down their noses at players with inferior talent or experience, or obsessing about obscure gear, or sounding like they were recorded in their mom's rec room on an iPhone. Not so Loren Hunt's Guitar Podcast. Though the host is by his own admission neither a professional tech or pro player, his podcasts are focused, concise, easy to listen to, and full of good information. I can't believe it was this hard to find a good podcast about guitar equipment and other issues (NOT a guitar lesson), but I'm really glad to have finally found this podcast! Keep it up, Loren!
-
quicksilver timExcellent Podcast!I love this podcast for it's genuine qualities...no BS, no goofiness and sound bytes, and he's not trying to sell anything! If you love guitars and music, you can't help but enjoy this podcast. It takes a lot of time and energy to produce online media....I for one commend Loren for what he's doing. Job well done : )
