Peter (Wombat Model 3)CluelessHow can you do an hour on EV and AV without mentioning Tesla - the leading US force - even once… either biased or clueless.
-
franklyn_plannerSchill for the EV pushThe show seems to have jumped the shark as far as the EV push. Even the journalists they bring on seem tone-deaf to the fact that most people still prefer gas cars and that the infrastructure is nowhere near where it needs to be. And what about low-income households? As the government force feeds us EV’s that are more expensive it will only raise prices on used gas cars.

NirwanaMostly very good showsSome excellent shows but when they invite a manufacturers those shows are mostly PR fluff

Tuck&RollToo much EVI canceled my app to ALD about three years ago. Why? Too much slant to EVs then, and it appears they are still at it. Sorry to see. I’m an ICE person at heart. John and company made the business decision and excluded those who are still interested in ICE. I wanted to come home, but I see by the title of the shows that not much has changed. Please John, there is much more to the automotive industry than EVs.

dvdr98607 with Peter Brock - Amazing history!Great show with Peter Brock - so much important car history that he was involved with. You could easily do a series of shows with him - Corvette, Cobra, 510. Hope he comes back again.

Tree Town Jethro563 repeats 562Awesome show but the description of 563 hints at a new show but the audio is the same as 562 (Ford Maverick). Whoops!

El ChonkolonkoThis show marks the start of my weekend. As a lifelong car nut, being able to identify a Toyota and tell it apart from a competitor at the age of two, I’ve grown up experiencing some of the best automotive journalism available. This show is now my indulgence as guests from all over the automotive sector come in and share their insight and engage in great discussion about the current state of the auto industry and its future. I love learning from everything covering automotive design, engineering, business and highlights of new autos available in the marketplace and auto reviews. I highly recommend it. My only complaint is that they don’t provide an hour long episode every day.

Jason CarverOutstanding Automotive Podcast! This is a great show that covers the automotive industry and provides a deeper look through interviews, guest appearances, etc. I don’t think you’ll find a better show out there that has it’s pulse on the industry better than John & Gary. Thanks for giving us an insiders look far greater than press releases and media relations do for those of us interested in the industry.

bricks777Long time listenerI have listened since the beginning. The hosts insight and the show’s unrivaled access to industry sources has created a unique, valuable and interesting window on the car industry. The public is lucky to have this. I wish a program like this existed for my industry, consumer finance. Thanks for everything, guys.

IndyBoilers272 - badI am a huge AAH fan. But 272 was really bad. I listened to this via podcast audio, so if there were any non verbal communication, but JS really came off as a bit off-putting to Gary. Gary, by the way, has really upped his game since making the slide in to replace PD’L. But I still think Gary often times seems the odd-man-out. I say, bring back beer and dog/s.

pittsburgh car loverGreat show but lost some mojo without PeterAlways bummed when suddenly a key member disappears and no mention about it. Peter suddenly disappeared from the show he seeded and he is missed. Peter and John were always a dynamic duo. John the diplomat and Peter the sardonic and stylized color commentator. John also focused on the cerebral while Peter emphasized the passion. My favorite moments were John and Peter trading jousts back and fourth uncut about the industry. John has a great empire he has created reporting on the auto industry, but the after hours seemed like the focus on the passion. With Peter gone it feels a little stale. John could use a bit of rebel to bounce of him like Peter did.

chuckbGreat Show!I wait for AAH to come out on iTunes all week, its a great Friday/Saturday 1hr+ of great content. John & Peter + guests have never disappointed ever. Their industry insights and opinions are generally spot on IMO. Its really good balance of industry people, brands, and general car talk. If you like AAH, subscribe to ATW and AD as well.

Marshy459A good weekly listen.Excellent commentary from experienced perspectives. A little rough around the edges but that is what brings out the characters. As an ex auto industry EE, I enjoy the autolines to keep a finger on the pulse.

Anti Car GuyLively Discussion...But Disagree with Some of their ConclusionsBeing from the Detroit area and having a love/hate relationship with the auto industry, I find this podcast interesting and engaging. I am a big fan of Peter DeLorenzo's Auto Extremist web site and share some of his views. That being said, the opinions in this podcast often reflect the insular and arrogant attitude of the domestic auto industry at large. They seem to point fingers at the government for the predicament the auto industry is in and apparently think it was government safety and emission regulations (among other things) that somehow led the domestics astray. They laugh and mock say that the government should stay out of the business (sorry, guys it's not like the government had a choice. GM and Chrysler are insolvent) and that it might be it good idea for an auto executive to be in charge of the auto companies. Last time I checked, EVERY domestic auto executive or car guy has failed their companies. The only domestic executive who was able to steer their company through our current choppy waters without going hat in hand to the government was Alan Mulally , who is not a "car guy" but was an executive at Boeing. I hope in future podcasts you do touch on the fact that the best auto executive are either foreign (The guy from Nissan and the Fiat dude) or outside the industry (like Mulally .) I'd really like to know who these mythical "car guys" are and when they are going to save the domestic auto industry?

jonsteproSuprisingly GoodFor anyone interested in the "inside baseball" of the Auto Industry, then this podcast is a good listen. The free flowing thoughts and comments are refreshing in a media with talking heads that usually cannot tell the difference between understeer and oversteer. It is not as much about cars as the business behind it. Still, if you like cars, give it a try.
