Alay15Long time listenerWish I lived in an alternate reality where Josh and Chuck are my dads đđ»

user15284583Dumb but entertainingTheir older stuff and their history episodes are great but they sometimes do not do justice to their topics because they are just a bit too simple in the head or they donât like the subject. Also why have no subscription option to remove ads? Esp if you want to sleep it is irritating

TheEnglishTeacherWhat I NeededI stumbled across this podcast online while researching an issue one of my students was having. One of the search options was this podcast. While it was a very serious issue, the guys handled it with care and respect. I continued listening to the next episode where they made me laugh and taught me new things. That was 6 years ago- I canât get enough of Josh and Chuck!

oxndejixFascinating infoSome things that are not part of common conversation is mundane. This stuff is not. They talk more and reminisce about things I havenât thought about in a while. Questions in the back of my head and donât want to google is talked about here.

czXas67Stuff you should knowThey mixed jokes and information perfectly

luku45Too many adsThe ads make what would otherwise be an excellent and fun podcast almost unbearable. Short stuff is 50% adsânot worth bothering with. I would gladly pay for an ad free version of this podcast but unfortunately that is not an option.

dartdeanGreat stuffLove the show and always find new things. Good humans as well, which makes it even better. Thanks for doing good in the times we are in. Forget those who choose not to.
-
BeautifiulLouiseFascinating and funI came across SYSK by serendipity. I found the hosts' voices pleasantly free of jargon and profanityâsomething rare these days. The topics are fascinating and their way of presenting them is marvelous. Iâve listened to so many episodes that Iâm all the way back two years and more. Fortunately for me there are enough to keep me entertained for a long time.
-
lknightmdI didnât know I need to know so much!I listened to a few episodes last year and now Iâm stuck in a binge! So much great stuff and their chemistry is fantastic.
-
TexavanianQuality show, quality humans. Full stop. Objective and factual, if youâre able.

jonnydogGeneral review of the showEnjoy these podcasts. Move along nicely and the rapport between Josh and Chuck is entertaining as well as informative. Would have given a 5 except occasionally (very occasionally) they allow some political bias to seep into their conversation, which can be a tad annoying and, I think, takes away from an otherwise flawless performance.
-
âŠBuuuhMonotoneSeems like they put no emotional emphasis on this damned show
-
annoyed phillies fanYour Bias is showingUsed the be the best podcast on earth, for a long time. Lately, not so much. The subtle liberal views and Trump Derangement inserted into episodes isnât so subtle anymore. Has it occurred to these people that half of your audience may not support your political bias?

Houdini993What about Claudette Colvin???On the latest episode, asassination of Martin Luther King Jr you made a comment early on about how Ross parks kicked off the civil rights movement. That information is incorrect. 9 months before the Rosa parks incident Claudette Colvin was forced to give up her seat on a bus. Rosa parks was just a poster child. The credit needs to go where itâs due. And Rosa parks ainât it!!!!

CHEFBOY ROBDGreatest show everThere is comfort food, and then there is SYSK. Thanks for the company all this time, guys!
-
adams2005Podcast requestCan you do an episode on Champaign please????
-
Jaberwockey masterItâs okYa know, if you can wade through all the biased commentary and somehow manage to put up with Joshâs lisp and Chuckâs constant wheezing into the microphone, thereâs actually some pretty interesting stuff in here. Maybe one day theyâll do one about run-on sentences.
-
The maker guyMystery spotHi! I love your podcast and have a suggestion. You should do an episode on âmystery spot California.â If you donât know what that is, itâs a mountain in California where supposedly gravity works differently. Iâve been there, and I was leaning like 30 degrees the whole time! Anyway, your podcast is awesome, byyyyyeeeeeee!

M00seyG00seyFantastic!In a time where fake news and misinformation are common place, these guys do a fantastic job of providing information on topics in an unbiased manner. Their intelligence and talent allow for them to provide this information in a very entertaining fashion. Could not say enough positive things about this podcast. Really appreciate it!

BillyyBobThe Scribble on ScrabbleThe Simpsons: S1:Ep2 âBart the Geniusâ Perfect description of a family Scrabble game. âKwyjiboâ "A big, dumb, balding North American ape with no chin", "and a short temper". Love SYSK!

AngMiKoInteresting topic, chatty banterTopics are interesting and information about it can be learned by listening. Presentation is in dialogue form between two hosts who are not experts but have researched the topic. Pretty chatty format, with tangents and banter, ironic remarks (which can be confusing), material is not always strictly scaffolded, no sound effects.
-
du heiebdkThis should be a total five star podcast.Donât see why there are some jerks out there who gave Josh and Chuck 1 star reviews. Theyâre probably not cultured.

TAF1701aShow on A/DâsI give you a lot of credit for tackling such a broad & misunderstood subject. I work in a retail pharmacy and we dispense a great deal of these. But more than that I have found relief from symptoms for over 30 years of this therapy. There are many you skipped over but thatâs a good thing & beyond the scope of SYSK anyway. I donât remember hearing cautions that people should see their doctor about these afflictions as antidepressants used the wrong way (especially MAOIs) can be life-threatening. I suspect you will get nasty grams about this topic but as an expert on them Iâm glad that you made an honest & respectful attempt. I wouldâve added some more info on the manifestations (the professional term is indications) of physiologically-based depression and at least a disclaimer that there many, many, a very great many âcompanionâ mental conditions and some of those are unfortunately misdiagnosed as depression. Warning: not all primary care healthcare providers are qualified to prescribe these - i.e., knowing the differences and how to monitor dosing. In my opinion, listeners need to do their own research, too, about their condition(s). Something you could add - e.g., if this episode becomes a âSelectsâ - is a reference to legitimate websites or hotlines designed to help people sort all this out (unless I missed it). Another winner for your catalog.

myappstorereviews123Good show terrible ads!Great podcast but they have the worst ads! Like listening to screeching fingernails on a chalkboard in the middle of the show. Why are they the only show that does it this way??
-
dc seltzerContent is getting boringIâve been listening to these guys for a long while but the content is starting to lag behind. It feels they are sometimes just reading a Wikipedia article and commenting. Also way too many breaks for sponsors now.

OkraWhiteOne of my favoritesThe podcast is enjoyable and informative overall. Josh and Chuck seem to be really likable types and they have a good time doing the program. If one knows very little about a particular subject, this is a great place to start. As one might expect, they rely solely on reading summary articles written by others for most of their information--nothing wrong with this, but if they don't know the subject, it's easy for them to get mixed up. The boys are sometimes a bit sloppy; they mispronounce just about every non-English word/name/phrase (and they occasionally mis-state some factsâbut who among us doesnât ?âwhich could be confusing for someone who is not already familiar with the subject. I donât hold that against them, because some of the subjects that they tackle can be quite technical. Still, I enjoy listening and I recommend it to someone searching for an informative and entertaining podcast about "stuff" in general. Josh and Chuck talk to us, not down to us; this is an important feature of their work. (Please keep in mind that I am not very flexible in my opinions, although Iâm getting better as I age.) In general, I really, really, really like the podcast and will continue to listen as long as they continue their work.
-
gmaknuFantastic!I so enjoy the variety of quirky topics on SYSK. My reaction is usually, "wow, I never thought of that." The light banter between Josh and Chuck is fun and friendly. Thank you and keep up the good work.
-
H CharlesMostly great when they keep their politics outThis is a great regular listen and fun way to get relatively deep dives on a myriad of topics. The chemistry and banter between the hosts is a huge draw, but if you donât appreciate it and their wanderings off topic, this show may frustrate you. Also, both are pretty liberal, and while they try to keep their political views out of the show, occasionally they percolate to the top, as they did when discussing Reagan or DC electoral votes. If you are a liberal yourself or donât mind that slant, itâs a great podcast
-
PaleWhaleOfWYThe BestI drive a lot for work. This show is my go to podcast for the entertainment value, plus I learn new things everyday by listening. Josh and Chuck have perfect chemistry and I love their tangents and how down to earth they are.
-

Lpm74Great PodcastWhat a find! Josh and Chuck are so refreshing in their dialogue and their banter back and forth. There are no egos competing for the limelight! The episodes are interesting and cover a wide range of topics. You will love it!

Salem NyxWas one of the best, butâŠUnfortunately the amount of ads has gotten out of control. It has ruined what was a good, fun, informative podcast.
