Dennis & Julie

278

Dennis Prager and Julie Hartman explore all aspects of life, in particular the crisis of American education. Julie was a student senior at Harvard who sensed that most of her life she was exposed to one perspective. She found Dennis Prager’s book “Still the Best Hope,” and she realized she actually held many conservative beliefs. She reached out to Dennis and that was the beginning of a new partnership that culminates in their weekly podcast.

    Missing Dennis
Thank y’all for sharing everything you do about how Dennis is doing. As you both shared, those who love & respect Dennis Prager dearly appreciate whatever you can tell us. I am an “older” architect (now 67), not one of the youngsters he has so positively influenced since the beginning of PragerU. My wife and I have listened to the Fireside Chat “religiously” since it’s beginning and found it to be a most wonderful way for a regular person to get to know Dennis. Although I lost my last position as a traditional design architect in 2015, I have worked hard to find a new path for myself and my wonderful wife. Our path has been to leave the big city life which has changed so much over our lifetimes in it. We left for the hope of building a house in a rural area in the Rocky Mountains. We have looked to the American ideals that Dennis espouses for strength during the years we have built our new home. Life can be so difficult and we will continue to pray for our dear friend Dennis Prager. May his body heal so that he can get back to talking to us all. Thank you, Dennis, for always being so willing to share your inimitable, faithful American spirit with us. May God continue to bless you and our country to become what you have always known it wants to be.

    Too much mutual admiration
I enjoy the content when there is content, but the mutual praise and admiration is overwhelming. If my boss and I praised one another in a business meeting as much as you two do, it would raise eyebrows and be considered inappropriate. Stick to content and the show would be five stars.

Too much gushing on each other
I really like Dennis and his fireside chats, and Julie seems very intelligent, thoughtful and well spoken for such a young woman. However, I’ve tried listening to their joint show several times now, and they’ve never failed to turn every discussion topic into a mutual admiration gushing session. It’s just too much. Sorry, D & J, I just can’t listen anymore.

    God’s Will
Such a valuable and thought provoking episode. I look forward to the show each Sunday. This episode I felt compelled to write and say “Thank You!” Each week with D & J is thought provoking. Each week I feel plugged in and grounded in a world of chaos. Thank you, both! Never stop with these invaluable shows! PS: Shalom Julie (and Dennis…and Sean).

Breath in the fresh air …and wisdom
Dennis Prager is a wonderful personality and a fountain of wisdom. Paring him with Julie, the young (and intelligent beyond her age) rising star, was a masterstroke.

    Agree with Chukkagirl…
…I love Dennis Prager’s podcasts and nothing against Julie, but when these two get together, it’s nonstop edification of each other.

    Julie I couldn’t agree more!
What you said about “let’s offer more solutions” I agree so much! Highlighting all that is wrong with our society seems to be easy. I would love if more often it was followed or paired with a solution more often. I have 5 children and they unfortunately to have a more negative sense of the future then I ever did. I love your podcast! I just had to chime in on this point 😊

    Untethered Balloons
I love all the Dennis and Julie episodes but this one was fantastic!! I have several young people in my life who are definitely struggling in different ways that my husband and I never had to. The untethered balloon is a perfect analogy. They have all made the point that it is much more difficult to be a young person today then it was when we grew up, we are 65. This episode really opened my eyes to the challenges they face today and the points you made about lack of faith in God and country are so true. I will try to be more open minded when they vent to me about their trials and tribulations. Thanks for this great show. I smile the whole time I’m listening to it. Kllowe

    Usually love Dennis, but…
Nothing against Julie, whose own podcast might be fine, but I find this podcast SO boring and quite insufferable. If listening to two people engage in both a mutual admiration society while also extolling how intelligent & unique they themselves are, then you will enjoy this one. Me, not so much. Good grief, we get it, you both think the other is amazing, but MOVE.ON.

    Addicted to the Dialogue
I’m 32 and have been listening to Dennis for years thanks to my mom when we were young. I LOVE this show - the respect and dialogue between Dennis and Julie is palpable. She is such an impressive individual and you can tell how much they admire each other. I’ve been devouring all 76 episodes one by one.

    Julie Hartman is a fraud
Julie accuses the left of having no morals and faking it to get ahead, then next second shills an ad for far right extreme lunatic Mike Lindell. Ironic.

    Best Podcast Ever!
This is by far the best podcast I have ever listened to! It is so refreshing to hear people from different generations have deep and meaningful conversations! If your not sure as to whether you will like it or not give it a listen and I know you will fall in love with them!

    Youthful insight and veteran wisdom
It is rare to find two people of widely different ages that can intelligently discuss popular topics. I have listened extensively to Dennis over the years and now Julie brings a college age perspective to these same topics. So very helpful to a parents of teens and a college bound student. Thank you. Keep it up!

    Fresh Lovely Podcast
Julie Hartman is amazing with Dennis Prager. I love her options and views at 22 years old. Very good insight into the young Generation. Dennis plays off her views perfectly. Fresh and Original, Enjoy.

    Julie and Dennis!
of course I have been listening to Dennis for more than 30 years PLUS I listen to fireside chats PLUS his show PLUS read most if not all of his books but now I make sure to include Dennis and Julie. Suprisingly this is also original. Like Dennis I am very interesting in moral education and religion. I am a Christian in the Roman Catholic tradition and favorite Christian authors are CS Lewis and Paul Johnson. Keep mentioning books and big themes but also your personal experiences and personal growth. Like Dennis I hope you find your pair. A woman should marry ideally between the ages of 17-35 (after that it become much more difficult) I married at 26 to a woman I met as a teenager outside of college. I have been married 40 years so I know something about marriage!

    Really Good
Listening to this young woman gives me hope for the future of America. Someone who seems to have a great future ahead of her. The old wise man and a young wise woman talking turned out to be very interesting.

    My favorite podcast
Excellent content, yet it’s the chatty, spontaneous conversation between Julie and Dennis that I enjoy just as much. Two brilliant minds; highly recommended.

    Great match
A team you can listen to and enjoy with a realistic life take and worldly discussion. Love Dennis Julie adds the younger softer side.

Another refreshing outlook of the society in a 30,000 ft view.
So glad I have come upon this podcast. It is so refreshing to hear a well thought out observation of things affecting the lives of most people. However most of those that are affected in dramatic ways are completely unaware of what is happening. It makes me wonder how such a small group of people can control the lives of such a vast amount of people that simply want to fall in line. Makes me more understanding of how individuals like Stalin, Hitler and the like come into power.

    Best way 45 min
The lack of interesting conversations, movies, music got me interested in listening to podcasts. This is one of the best ways to spend 45 minutes of my life. Ditch all the senseless stuff (ahem tick tok) and listen to these two.

    Awesome
Dennis is a gift to the earth. He has traveled to almost every country in the world and the insights from his life journey that he passes along to all of us is truly priceless.

    Absolutely wonderful
Haven’t been a fan of Mr. Prager I am ecstatic to find out that he has taken under his wing a protégé. The chemistry and the dialogue between Ms. Hartman and Mr. Prager is refreshing, I look forward to every episode of each week. Please keep up the great work and thank you.
