    Solid & sad
Well told, compassionate & really heartbreaking. I feel for the family so much (but am horrified at the dad’s behavior, adding to the immense guilt of a 7 year old - just inexcusable). Agree with others that it was a bit drawn out & hyped with teasers that didn’t actually pan out, but such is the genre.

    Well done!
Finally a podcast I can listen to (including the occasional ad breaks) and enjoy it. They did a fantastic job.

    Couldn’t stop listening
Such a well done podcast - I finished it the same day I started. Tragic story - I feel so much for the family and Ricky.

    Too much repetition.
The talks with the victims brother are riveting. I feel for the man. I give three stars because this could have had half the episodes and still had the same impact.

Richys self absorption it’s hard to take
Ricky makes it all about him and his suffering. He’s still making himself the victim in all of this.He doesn’t talk about Cheryl, only about himself. He shows no awareness and no empathy for his little brothers or what his parents must’ve been going through. I can hear the pain he caused his own children, so.wrapped up in his self pity he refused to be a father & their needs went unmet.I found myself fast forwarding more and more often just to avoid Ricky’s pity parties

    High-quality podcast
Excellently done; to hear that Ricky’s dad blamed him is excruciatingly painful and I hope one day he can forgive himself as he has no culpability in his sister’s disappearance!

    Heartbreaking
This is a heartbreaking podcast. Years ago my son was followed to a changing room from a beach. Fortunately he was older, around 8 at the time, there were other people around, and I was near enough for him to run to me. I’ve often thought about how very fortunate we were.

    Excellent investigation
So much love for Ricki - absolutely not his fault❤️ I’m sorry his dad blamed him- must have made his life gardener. Yo me he’s been a great and living brother!

    Outstanding Podcast
Thank you to Australian True Crime podcast for covering this case as well and recommending that we listen to the Fairy Meadow podcast. I never would have known about it otherwise. I had to make an 8 hour trip the day after hearing about it and I listened to the entire podcast during the drive. I loved it. Deeply heartbreaking but such a sensitive telling of the story. The people really come alive.

    Nothing new to add
Lots of emotional power but not much substance. True crime fans hoping for revealing insights and discussions will be disappointed. The only unique points made concern the grief of the family and the impact the case made in it's time. Understandable no new leads were uncovered, but the end of each episode has an annoying promise or hint of breakthrough and week after week none comes. Even the episode “mercurys story” is mainly about how the journalist couldnt get his story.

I am so sorry this family has had to endure such tragedy. I pray they get the answers and closure they deserve. 🙏
