InformNotDoctrinateI canNot near as cringy as your review. Great work people!
-
Katherine LewinTurn off crappy musicThe horrid music behind the entire episode is districting.
-
mommamilkieI can’tIm not trying to be mean but I have to let you guys know the reporter in the November 6th episode has a cringy worthy voice. It is nothing like Ashley’s warm calm informative tone.

Joseph Tyler YorkNopeToo much of drama
-
DeacRippsWeirdly unscientificHopes DNA will be available to identify a suspect, but thinks that gender can be “self identified”. Anti law enforcement. Uses too much new-speak. Could be good but obnoxiously bad!! Heterophobic. What do you think of this review Chuck, do you approve? Chuck: “arrrooooo”. Thanks Chuck

Semperkari2 PodcastsTook me two podcasts and I ordered your books and started at the beginning of your recordings. You definitely found your calling - love everything you’re doing Ashley! My favorite podcasts!
-
greenapplewarheadsuprisingly goodglad i found a way to hear about cold cases outside of my local area. im big into cold cases. im not sure but i believe the podcast even contributes to help LE agencies that dont already have a deck, to obtain one. which is excellent.

Castano94Background music isn’t neededThe background music is tooo loud and not needed. It’s distracting and annoying. The actual podcast is good and I like hearing everyone’s stories and what’s being done to try and find them.

also fed up!Disappointed in spoilersI don’t like that at the beginning of season 1 “investigates” you reveal what the end of the investigation is; that Darlene is never found and there are no answers. Everything you said made me decide not to listen to Season 1. Also, in that same part you revealed the end of Season 2’s case about Ada! I’ve only listened to the first 8 episodes about Ada and now I know the end of that season too! I don’t know why you would include any of this info before anyone listens to your shows.

TuytviyygiyyuyjutyhDarlene HulseAfter listening to the 3 part series on Darlene I’m full of gratitude for the work The Deck is doing on this case. Prosecutor Nelson should be ashamed of his behavior in this case. He works for the people. He owns this to the family. Those girls are victims too. What they witnessed is unimaginable.

ekylesMore Fake FlowersThis is another Ashley Flowers stealing from other people. Listen to Dealing Justice instead.

AbendioLove the long ones!!I enjoy the longer episodes you do for sure!! I love alll the episodes don’t get me wrong, but I drive for a living and I like the longer shows, so do more PLEASE!! Thanks and keep em coming ladies ❤️😘
-
Ashbash2024Love the new investigation series!I’ve been a fan of the Deck for a while. But I absolutely love the new series put out in bulk about a case covered in the podcast. I hope we can get some other deep dives into some of the Deck cases!
-
nene4747Soooooo Gooood!!!!Amazing investigating loves ! I’m only a little over half way through this series and I can’t believe there are so many suspects and their history . So scary just wanted to say good job 👏🏽 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽!!!

kallie525Incredible storyPetition signed!
-
ebreezy723WOW!!!I binged all 3 parts today - my heart breaks for this family! Petition signed - amazing work, love these girls!
-
AliavsYesss!Keep the long form series style please! It makes The Deck so much easier of a listen as we can really get to follow along with y'all!
-
cassmurdAshley does it again! 🙌🏻Season 1 of the deck investigates tore my heart out, stomped on it, and then threw it away. I ended the series crying thinking about Darlene, how much she loved her children, and how in her final moments all she cared about was keeping them safe. This podcast is so well done, Ashley is a wonderful story teller.
-
wolfy the great jrHad to pull overI love the pod so keeping it 5 star. However, today, I had to pull my car over to the side of the road thinking I was having car trouble while listening to one of the more recent episodes about Darlene’s murder. At some point I paused the pod and the noise was gone. After getting back on the road, I pressed play, and the noise was back. Yep - it’s in the background of the episode. A deep low vibration sound. Relieved but annoyed.

kait B 123adprobsplease stop plugging truth finder.com i signed up and my abusive ex came up clean, even tho i know he has a felony DUI at Least...
-
dietnut1980very sensational, i guess it could be worseMore genuine empathy and fewer sensation adjectives and sound effects would be so much less cringey. It's a shame because the research seems good. One of those exploitive shows family members probably endure for the sake of exposure but shouldn't have to.

shaunalee16A True Crime Junkie must listen! As with anything from AudioChuck, this is top notch.
-
NattySeaLove all things AudioChuckI absoutely love this podcast and all things done by the AudioChuck team. Ashley is always easy to listen to and I feel good that I’m listening to ethical podcasting. I have seen it happen in my own community as a cold case was solved through a grant from Season of Justice!

clwofReviewing and re-ratingI know I’ve given all of my favorite podcasts 5 stars but they keep disappearing. Maybe if I leave a review it will let my 5 stars stay.
-
Laceybugg1996Love!Love being able to hear cases you may not always hear about!
-
PrincipessaLuLuBeautiful Storytelling with a purposeI appreciate that this series, along with other audiochuck productions, are about how the public can make a difference. It’s about education on the advancement of science. The struggles of current law enforcement agencies. It’s about empowering listeners to be engaged in making a difference. I adore Team Chuck! Thank you for doing what you do!
-
LaurieTestingGreat show but too many commercialsEspecially for people who pay a premium to listen to their other podcast add free. It really breaks flow of the story and the longer the episode, the more commercials.
-
jefferyuniverseWhat are the complaints about? This is a well researched and presented podcast about cold cases. For the life of me, I can’t figure out what people mean when they say it’s “too political.” It sounds like people are just looking for something to be angry about. I enjoy how the narrative is told in these cases and there isn’t excessive banter like other true crime podcasts. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, I just prefer this approach. These episodes play out like little documentaries with interviews with reporters. It’s very good.
-
acheybrendaPolitical agenda?Assuring you don’t offend the victim or their family by using specific terminology is political? Digging deep into a case and pointing out where the ball was dropped or where some things may have been missed is political? Having a lot of passion and empathy for victims of crime and wanting to help solve these cases is political? I’m tired of people using the word woke in a way that makes it seem like a bad thing. Being aware and conscience and knowledgeable is better than being asleep and blind and stupid.

afsnyder13Anti - Law EnforcementAshley claims to be pro law enforcement but the way she tells the stories is very anti - law enforcement. I listened for a long time but I can no longer listen to the nit picking of every single move or mis-move by LE. We are all human and mistakes are made. Some are nefarious but most are honest.
-
ThatDudeDevPreachyI came for true crime, not to be brainwashed. Drop the propaganda and focus on the stories, which are lacking in quality for what this pod should be.
-
terra leora26Love all your shows!!Love and enjoy all your shows! Thank you for all you do to bring attention to cold cases so they are never forgotten and hopefully found. Thank you for telling their stories! Love and appreciate your work and Brit’s too!
-
gagegirl14Great podcast for cold case attentionSo many people in the reviews complain about this podcast. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea and that’s fine but these are cold cases for a reason, there isn’t much information. They need attention and Ashley is trying to do just that even if it does seem like it could be a 2 minute episode instead of 30 minutes. But at least Ashley is bringing that attention to these cases. If you don’t like her shows then don’t listen. Politics is in everything so get over it.
-
_Gina_Was_Taken_Keep going AshleyI enjoy Ashley’s efforts in trying to get attention on ALL various stories. If inclusion is too WOKE for you then don’t listen. Will never understand why folks choose to complain rather than turn the channel. Choose another podcast. No one is forcing you to listen. Maybe think about why some of the issues in these stories bother you, when at the end of the day that is a human whose life has been taken. Someone’s child, sibling, parent, etc. I guess today compassion and empathy can’t occur until something awful happens to you and yours. Thank you Ashley 💙

2mnypetzBackground junkThe background “music” or whatever that banging around junk noise is has become a distraction. I love the show, but it’s getting hard to listen to. Please tone it down and I’ll come back with a five star review! Update: May 30, 2024 background music was ridiculous! Please, just stop! I love this podcast but I can not give it 5 stars.
-
The WheelhouseListener lostA loyal listener since the beginning. Love the concept and the story telling. However, between this and Crime Junkie, Flowers is way too focused on a political agenda rather than presenting cold cases to help get them solved. Not willing to listen any longer with woke propaganda.
-
Olivia Marie V.Lacks depth.Missing depth. I feel like the episodes are being glossed over a bit- just no personality in these episodes.
-
P Tyler LongEnough w/Virtue SignalingEvery 2-3 episodes seemingly there’s another LGBTQ propaganda message pushed down your throat. I’ve been listening to Crime Junkie and The Deck for a long time, but it’s becoming insufferable. I gotta unfollow. Enough already!
-
DebHeckThemeLove the theme of the cards! Storytelling is okay, but Flowers really needs to find better adjectives than SUPER!🙄
-
Cotton Mouth 79Loni episodeThanks for sharing Loni’s story this week. I live in this area and I’m a trans man. I was unaware of Loni’s story until today. Hopefully this will help get some answers to solve the case. I also really appreciate your desire to use the correct pronouns and name for the people in these cases. I see a lot of eye rolling in my day to day life when someone asks for specific pronouns to be used. I’m a big fan of you and Audiochuck!
-
Hound85Incredible shrinking podHave been a long time listener, but lately there is not the same depth. Often feels like someone reading a single news article. Previous format aggregated sources and relied on multiple sets of facts and more investigation. Episodes are much shorter and far less interesting. Cheering them on and whatever else they’re doing, but it’s not this podcast anymore.
-
no buses?!Music is cringeThe theme song gives me secondhand embarrassment; audio suffers from being over produced. Yikes.
-
Weeeeman069Gone woke, and ran out of cases.Seems like every case now is a two minute overview stretched to a half hour since there are no details. Then there’s all the “someone experiencing homelessness” and “a person involved in sex work” and “a human going through drug dependency”. Not to mention “the police didn’t do their job”.
-
Thaly_anGreatLove it
-
alsjfktkebjgbtWokeConstantly mincing their words and shoehorning in woke language. Always the most politically correct doublespeak.
-
Truecrime ChristieStolenShe clearly took the idea from the podcast “Dealing Justice who have been doing this concept since 2020. Do you ever have an original idea or do you just want to make money by ripping peoples ideas?
-
WindholzL83Mostly loveI love this podcast. My only issue is the volume of the background music at times. It gets annoying and almost drowns out the voice content. Continual background music isn’t necessary in my opinion and it has caused me to stop listening to certain episodes. Maybe it’s just me! But something to consider. :) still love it though.
-
Spider-Man >:DAds…I’ve been following the deck for a while, and overall I’m hooked! However, there’s just so many ads and it’s hard to listen to. I get that you guys need money but you have a ton of weekly shows, full of ads. Back when CJ started, the podcast was really focused on telling the stories and not gaining ad revenue.
-
XenaBluNiceville FloridaWow I used to live in Niceville back in 1987. Love this podcast.
-
Misterpoodle1Good showIt makes me very happy to see a bunch of people get triggered over police criticism. But it’s obvious she doesn’t hate police but has slight problem with the mishandling of cases. So no, her having grievances with the police isn’t “woke”. But it sure is funny that y’all get so triggered by it.
