Used to enjoy this show but it’s changed from financial advice to mostly political tirades lol. Pretty off putting if you’re not a Marxist, especially if you’re a woman who is happy raising kids. Katie makes a lot of very judgmental comments about caretaking. And I just generally disagree with the premises she has about what a good society (to her and her Marxist friends) looks like… I can’t listen any more because the rare financial advice among the ample political opining is coming from a source whose world view is basically the opposite of mine. Anyways. You will probably enjoy it if you’re into Marxism…

Former long time lister. I am still a listener. But it’s so hard to take any of her advice seriously when she backs one political party (and gives absolutely no counter arguments by economists to the other side). What a bummer

I used to love listening to this podcast but Katie has become so grossly out of touch that I just can’t anymore. She used to be someone who was inspired and wanted to help, not she is saying all sorts of ridiculous stuff about how we shouldn’t expect our quality of life to get better when we get a new job or raise (which is insane because her own lifestyle has multiplied dramatically over the last three years) and being part of morning brew has just made her way too political. She’s just a shill for this idea that the economy and job market aren’t actually bad.

I’ve been following Katie for about two years now, I have listened to all her podcasts and I appreciate the depth in which her research is shown in the many episodes (including the rich girl round ups) to come with a sound and fact-based recommendation on a certain topic. The episode of Whole Life Insurance was a great one! Thank you for making this complicated journey of financial independence interesting and fun at the same time.

I can’t believe I’m only just writing a review now, I’ve been following Katie since the inception of MWK. This it’s real down to earth money talk we all need to be having and exploring to demystify the world of finance to us peasants. Katie you need to make a whole class for teens so we can finally spit out the generation of financially literate youth america needs. Anyhow. Katie taught me everything I know. I tell all my friends about you. Big fan 5 stars so you can sleep well tonight.

I absolutely loved this episode with Berna. She speaks all facts. I’ve recently stopped guilting myself into living for my mom or going beyond my discussed financial support for my younger sibling who lives in the Caribbean and does not work. This content and Berna is pure Gold.

I have been listening to this podcast on and off, whenever there is a subject that is relevant and it is amazing how Katie manages to find subjects which are relevant. The show about Life insurance hits a spot. I was sold a similar life insurance over 10 years ago, a policy similar to what you guest was sold, it was put on automatic withdrawal from my bank account and I completely forgot about it (this is due to my money dysmorphia issues), meanwhile I have always had the uneasy feeling that I had been taken for a ride. Your show basically confirmed my feelings. I know now that I have to do something about it. Thank you and thank your for the education.

Been listening for years and really love this podcast…however lately there’s been a shift where completely skewed one sided feminist ideology is being pushed…I truly hope this is not the direction you guys will be taking this wonderful show in the future…I sincerely thank you otherwise for great content and wish you all the best…take care.

For the past 5 years I’ve been listening to all different personal finance podcasts trying to learn how to manage my new physician salary responsibly after growing up in poverty and learning nothing about personal finance. At this point I am far beyond the basics and even got rid of my financial advisor who couldn’t tell me anything I haven’t taught myself. I stopped listening to most of the other podcasts because they became repetitive and no longer helpful, but I have continued listening to this one religiously because it is so thoughtful, well-researched, relevant, and I love Katie’s writing style (also the only newsletter I actually read top to bottom). I love her book suggestions, too. I even started following her on Insta and find her even more endearing now after learning more about her as a person. Katie and Henah you are both doing an amazing job and really changing the financial lives of so many women (and all your other listeners, too!). Can’t wait to see what you do next!

You won’t be getting the SS check you counted on. Sam Johnson, Republican Texas quietly, with the help of Democrats, passed legislation so that fewer and fewer taxpayers will qualify. SS Maximum Taxable earnings of $147,000 for 2022 and up to $168,600 in 2024. Taxpayers must have 35 years of paying in the maximum.

I just wanted to say thank you to Katie and everyone that participates in the creation of this show. I’m 43 and have $100,000 in student loan debt and only earned $24,000 last year through working a full time job , a part time job, and teaching a few yoga classes as a side hustle. I’m also in graduate school with 2 years left (meaning more student loans to come). I have no retirement, no investments, and no credit cards. I do not enjoy my life as it is. Listening to this podcast has helped me better understand the mechanism of my personal financial situation as it relates to larger concepts. I’ve been living in the American Dream that seems to fuel class separation — “You can have stability and happiness if you just work hard enough”. Katie’s delivery of the info makes it palatable and digestible . To the extent that I’ve begun to learn more on my own and have made a few decisions to realign my financial path with what’s actually available to me right now. I don’t think I could have done that if I hadn’t come across this podcast.

I came across Money with Katie after her collab with Kate Kennedy and I fell deeply and madly in love with this podcast. I recently graduated with my PhD and have loved this practical education about money now that I’m making more than 25k as a grad student (yay). Money with Katie has taught me so much about wealth building, taxes, and investments while giving me time to think about my own financial goals for by myself and my growing family. Could not recommend this podcast more for both those who are starting from square one in their personal finance journey and those who are already in deep. Very delighted to have discovered the Rich Girls and Boys community!

I’ve been listening to this podcast for a few months. It’s great. This most recent episode on black market luxury was really interesting, and I wanted to review it specifically because I felt it displayed Katie’s interest/ability around more abstract philosophical topics (e.g. what does it all mean, anyway?). Great work, love the way you think. I have to say, I was really hooked at the closing when Katie brought up the topic of money dysmorphia — HELLO, this is your next episode topic. Please please please do an episode on this. It’s a topic I’ve discussed with many over the few years, particularly in regard to Millennials being the frontier generation of not having traditional success/finance/adult markers of generations past — it’s all related. Last week-ish, LAist published a great article titled ”Young Parents Need Bigger Homes, But Older Angelenos Aren’t Moving” check it out!

MWK has been my FAVORITE podcast for about the last year. I cannot stop sharing these episodes with friends. Katie is the best!!

She’s extremely well educated on the topics she covers. She’s relatable and makes finance easy to understand. She backs up what she says with data. And she interviews incredible guests. How could you not find this podcast valuable?

I love MWK, I have been listening for years now and it’s helped me look at the world in new ways. I have been questioning seemingly innocuous things in the workplace that actually keep the females from being more successful than my male counterparts. I encourage all my friends to listen. And for those saying her money advice is unreasonable, we just passed the $1M net worth mark. And for them record, my spouse and I each grew up in poverty with a single mothers, so this is first generation wealth.

Been listening to this podcast for long enough now to have actually implemented much of the advice and I really appreciate it. Katie is so engaging and has a great perspective. I love how critical she is of our systems while still teaching women how to work smarter within the way our society is set up!

I love this show and Katie’s whole approach and outlook on everything. She doesn’t blame or shame anyone for different financial decisions but gives all the data about why she knows what can help. She really knows her stuff! One small suggestion is please please create more content for unmarried but long-term committed couples! Seems like so much of the couple advice is for people who are dating > maybe living together> engaged > married. As someone in a long-term committed relationship but who isn’t legally married, I need more advice all around in money as a couple, especially when your spending habits and desires in wanting to talk about money differ. 7% of US adults are cohabiting with an unmarried partner. This number appears to now be growing amongst highly educated and middle income to upper middle-income earners— I bet that’s a lot of your audience! Thanks for being such a wonderful guide in all things money!

I love Katie and this podcast so much. Her ability to dive into topics both more philosophical and number driven is fantastic. This is by far the best financial podcast I have tried and it has really opened by eyes. There’s always something new to learn. Thank you Katie!

Katie… Thank you so much for your amazing podcast on teachers today… I was a kindergarten teacher for 35 years… And LOVED my work… It took patience… Honesty… Intelligence… hard work, and dedication… when I graduated in 1973… You could NOT find a job as a teacher… Because they were so many teachers. Fast forward to today -and they are “begging“ for teachers… Putting them on “fast track“ degrees…Bringing them from other countries… It is absolutely a huge problem for our country today… teachers must worry about school shootings… Pressure from administration… Pressure from parents… It is an extremely stressful and “thankless” job! I am extremely concerned about the future of our country and its most “precious treasure”-Our children! Maureen

Great personal finance show. Topics are well researched without being boring. Actionable advice. It also challenged some of my stances and changed my mind on things. For example, I’m now all about the traditional 401k over the Roth 401k due to this podcast. Looking forward to more content and the book.

This review is long overdue for Money With Katie's down-to-earth NO HOLDS BARRED podcast and website. They are excellent real-life resources for financial good practices, tips and information. Basic AND complex money topics are covered in a refreshingly transparent FUN way. Katie's interviews with reputable and diverse experts are amazing! I appreciate her factual information and EXTENSIVE research on every topic. Even at 66, I still devour financial podcasts (financial nerd) and have been financially independent for decades. I continuously share Money With Katie with the folks I help with investing, saving, debt payoff, etc. Money with Katie has helped me understand the financial challenges facing younger generations. The detailed links to her many deep dives are always listed at the end of her podcasts- MUCH appreciated! Katie has also dragged me out of my Stone Age approach to travel rewards. Well done Katie, Henah and the MWK Team! Please keep them coming!

I am absolutely obsessed with MWK. Mondays and Wednesdays are my favorite days of the week because I get to listen to my fave podcast. My only complaint is that it’s only 2 days a week and not 7. Come on Katie, can’t you increase your work x 3.5 so my daily commutes are more enjoyable and educational? Keep it up team, you’re doing important work! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Money with Katie truly taught me how investing worked and more importantly the true financial impacts of starting as early as possible, I started using copilot (which I love) and am on the waitlist for her 2024 wealth planner. I’ve been listening for a very long time and I absolutely love this show. MWK has solid real world advice - that’s truly applicable. I’m just over 40 so honestly I wondered at first if I’m out of the target audience for this, but NOT AT ALL. Also as a home appraiser, I appreciate the real talk, stats and outlook on the housing market.

I love how they always run financial different scenarios and try to include many different situations for people. They discuss it in easy to understand terms and have really good podcast chemistry!

As an early follower of @MoneyWithKatie, I’ve enjoyed Katie’s content since the beginning. Her thoughtful commentary, diligent sourcing, and “deep dive” exploration of interesting financial topics and how they specifically apply to and affect millennial women are all reasons why I continue to follow and listen. Her candor, wit, and passion keep me coming back week after week. Special shout-out to Henah who always adds valuable insight and great chemistry to the show. I consume a lot of personal finance content, but when I listen to Katie and Henah discuss topics, I feel like I’m chatting with my smart and interesting friends. Thanks, ladies!

The Money with Katie show is an excellent show for people with minimal or a lot of personal finance knowledge. I love how Katie breaks down relevant financial topics in a humanizing and easy to digest way. Her producer and cohost Henah is such an amazing addition. Their conversations are always thoughtful and humorous! Highly recommend!!

I love the money with Katie show, I want to be best friends with Katie. She is smart, insightful and always brings great content. I like the podcast and even more so love her blog. On the one negative, I have held my comment for a while because I hate to be this person (but my nerves have reached my limit) henna is so annoying!! Her comments seem so rude and like she is digging at Katie. Maybe I just don’t have a sense of humor? But she brings so little value to the show and I usually skip rich girl round ups bc when I do listen I am constantly cringing.. can we just have more Katie and less useless information from someone who just whines and brings useless anecdotes?

I’m always stoked when it’s a Money with Katie new episode day! This is my favorite finance podcast. Katie is extremely articulate, and her content is relatable, well researched and thought provoking. I’m anxiously awaiting the pre-order date on her book!

Katie’s podcast is a great listen. I found it when I was looking for financial podcasts to help me start investing. Her podcast is the only one I’ve stuck with for financial podcasts. Her episodes are interesting and engaging. I love the Rich Girl roundups and often find myself listening to them again. My boyfriend and I listened to the rent vs buy episode on a road trip and it sparked conversation. We had lots of things to discuss from it and it really helped put things in perspective. He has now started listening to the podcast too and it’s been great getting to chat about the episodes!

Katie gives great insight into anywhere from mundane to more sophisticated money issues. She definitely pours into research and has a wealth of experience, which for me (a thirty something seeking to be financially wise and prosperous) is just what I need. Not to mention her raspy voice calms me. Let’s go Rich Girl Nation!

Money With Katie has become the podcast I anticipate the most each Monday and Wednesday. The episodes are easy to follow as a beginner or mid-level investor, and Katie (and Heneh) are fun to listen to. The archives are also a great tool if you’re looking for something specific in your Rich Girl journey. I listened to all of the “old” episodes about employee stock options and was able to use that gained knowledge to make informed decisions about what to do with mine.

Katie has a personable and balanced approach to personal finance. Her discussions are always something interesting and relevant to every day life (and even if not resonating with your current stage of life, still good food for thought for future consideration). She’s also a personally friendly person and seems open to engaging with listeners which is a big plus for me! Definitely worth a listen no matter what stage of personal finance self improvement you’re in.

I started reading and listening to Katie right as I began my financial journey, and she has been a godsend. Not only does she tackle classic financial ideas in a meaningful, easy-to-digest way, she grabs on to the little things we think about but never thought we’d get an answer to (how do you really determine when to splurge and when to save? Is buying a morning coffee really a sin?). Going far beyond the typical “put it away and never spend a penny” advice, Katie does an excellent job at looking at the human side of finance, providing frameworks to make your money work for your lifestyle, whatever that may be. I highly recommend this podcast for anyone looking to improve their financial lifestyle.

I’m an avid podcast listener, and this is by far my favorite. I mostly listen to self-development and personal finance podcasts, and Money With Katie is a beautiful blend of the two. She’s not only incredibly relatable, but she clearly does her homework. She’s bright, witty, and engaging. Big fan, team! Keep doin’ great work!
