    Dear Mr Honig.
When is season 3 of up agains the mob?
  • Xena Warrior Chicken
    Outstanding!
This was a really interesting look inside the world of the mob. I have a suggestion for the next season: blow the lid off the Trump family’s decades long association with the mob, both La Cosa Nostra (starting with Meyer Lansky & Lucky Luciano) & the Russian mafiya (the “brainy don”, Semion Mogilevich). Which mob families did Donald have to negotiate with to develop the rail-yard project I. 1985, Gambino & Genovese? Someone please expose the Trump mob ties.

    Fuhgettaboutit!
This is a great podcast! Fun and smart and sharp and so informative. Elie Honig manages to weave the facts—just the facts, ma’am—as well as extensive lessons from the law and his own storied career as a federal prosecutor into a riveting and dramatic narrative. And the colorful characters whom Elie introduces us to are much more than mob stereotypes. They emerge as real people, fatally flawed yes, but very human. Bravo 👏!

Mr. Honig’s constant self aggrandizing gets in the way of what could stand on its own as an interesting story. His repetitive self promotion in the “I just crack myself up” vein of how much we will love “this and my other podcast” is off-putting. And I do not need to be reminded repeatedly of how incompetently slow HE thinks DOJ has been in their handling of the January 6 investigation. The facts, man. Just the facts. If you are as brilliant as you think you are, it will be revealed in the material.

Real perspectives from people who were there
I really like that they were able to get the people on who were there- real mob bosses and associates, fbi agents and even judges. It’s pretty rare to get to hear from them, especially so many years later. The stories they tell are real and raw. I often find myself imagining what it was like back then in those moments while I’m listening. Makes it so much more relatable for something that happened a long time ago

    Elle knows the Mob
Elie share his knowledge freely and with great detail. Fascinating glimpse into the other side, unless that’s your side as well.

    Compelling, captivating, and highly addictive
As a professional podcaster with more than 600 episodes under my belt, I appreciate great podcasts, and “Up Against the Mob” satisfies on every level. Host Elie Honig is a fantastic host and storyteller, and the guests — especially the collaborating witnesses — are a big part of the show’s secret sauce, not to mention the flawless production and audio quality. Having worked in Springfield, MA as a nurse out on the street in many neighborhoods for quite a few years, hearing stories of the mob in that beleaguered city was fascinating. And having grown up in New Jersey and spent a great deal of time in NYC throughout my life, these true-to-life tales bring so much of that curious underworld to light. I cannot recommend this podcast enough. And here’s hoping for many more seasons to come.

    Contacting show is not easy
I would have given this 5 stars but I have a question about accessing content and I have no idea how to ask my questions!

Only wish the season wasn’t over
Incredibly engaging and smartly composed. Eli has a variety of guests to show a range of perspectives on going up against the mob, which makes this show all the more fascinating. Great job! Hope there’s a season 3!

    Well edited and presented
This was an interesting listen and Arillotta gave a surprisingly matter of fact telling of Springfield’s mob history. I was a bit surprised that Springfield had so few mobsters given it’s proximity to Boston and NY.

Im giving it 3 stars because I know this I know liberal prosecutor tried very hard. Basicallly this guy was hunks he single handle brought down the mafia. Boring and self serving podcast. You would be better off listening to static.

    Excellent
Hoing, a natural storyteller with intimate knowledge on the subject, delivers a fascinating and insightful Organized Crime podcast. I’m thrilled there’s a second season.
  • Melsbells1231
    Fascinating!!
This is a great listen in general, but what really puts it over the top is Elie Honig’s storytelling: It’s engaging and conversational. I actually specifically “read” his recent book on audio because I like this podcast and his letters on Cafe Insider.

If A Movie Was A Podcast
This is the best limited series podcast award in my book! I love a real life story when it’s told well. You will hear the stories from the prosecutor, some former mobsters, the lawyers on the other side, all of them add flavor to the discussion and are interested in telling their side of the story. The editing is perfect, the music is captivating. The moment the music hits at the start of the podcast I feel like I’m transported into a different world. I look forward to the start like the first sip of coffee in the morning! Great job team!!!

    Wow
The best…absolute best. You will find yourself saying out loud “wow” “oh my god”. The worst part is the end because you are so drawn in only to realize you have to wait a week to continue this riveting journey. Wednesdays got a whole lot better because of this series.

    Can’t listen
I was so excited to see a new episode had dropped but it won’t load. I’m able to listen to other podcasts and I could hear the extra bit on Cafe Insider, so I don’t think it’s my error. I just want to hear it!

    Mob crime crack
I have a fascinating with the mafia, the gangsters and the like. I came across this podcast and was hooked from the very first minutes. It’s engrossing, fascinating, informative. Ellie’s own story telling coupled with interesting and engaging guests leaves me wanting more at the end of each episode. I hope you are around for a long time.

    Springfield Crew and Anthony Arillotta
Very few and far in between that you meet someone like Anthony Arillotta. A Sigma male who was also a member is certainly a dangerous person. I’ve been listening to his story for awhile and he has been very good at his explanation of his life. Your podcast makes it worthwhile. Excellent work.

    Fabulous Podcast & Host
So glad Up Against the Mob is back for a second season! I don’t have a particular interest in the Mafia, but this is a great podcast. The stories are fascinating, the inside view from people who were there is amazing and Elie Honig is a natural born story teller with a great voice. Riveting!

What a show!!! Very entertaining, interesting and informative. It weaves together courtroom drama, politics and the New York mob brilliantly. Elie is a witty and enthusiastic interviewer with deed knowledge and insight of the legal system and the SDNY. Enjoy

    Good podcast but
Five stars for not getting on my nerves! Interesting subject that's irresistible to the human psyche. The main con I have is that there's only 9 episodes. No need to subscribe for such a short playlist.
