As a seasoned rescuer and dog lover, I started listening to this podcast to hear the lovely stories about dogs and their owners. It did not disappoint. I loved the uplifting vibe and time spent with people who adore animals like I do. This season I’m blown away by the deeper discussions of rescue issues and promotion of animal adoption while exploring why others make different choices. It’s all presented with kindness by hosts who also walk the walk in animal rescue. And they’re sweet, funny & entertaining, too. Great podcast!

The co-hosts, Katya and Jenny, are incredibly thoughtful and passionate and always guide the conversation in the most interesting direction. The recent episode with Sue Sternberg was really thought provoking and brought up controversial topics in animal rescue in a way that felt balanced and well-rounded. I will be a life-long listener :)

I was introduced to this podcaat from CIPYD when Katya was a guest. Honestly I am so glad I hopped over and started following her. Her podcast can make you laugh. cry, and think. Most importantly, it has opened my mind to so many other aspects of loving my animal. The best advice so far? Leave my phone when I take my pups out for a walk. Why? Becuase that is their biggest outting of the day. They live in the house. So pay attention, live in the moment. Cherish every single moment. I have a dog that is in her senior years. Instead of being afraid and sad, I am embracing every moment and cherishing it. Katya is an angel sent to us from the power that governs pet lovers.

I absolutely adore this podcast and Katya. I learn so much from her interviews and it’s been everything to me as I learn and grow with my own dog Albert. Listening to The Animal That Changed You is like the best combination of talking to a good friend and learning more about ways amazing people are helping and being helped by animals. Every time I see a new episode in my podcast feed, I get so excited and know that I’ll probably end up laughing and crying while listening. I also love that the host Katya is so non-judgmental and supportive of people no matter where they are on their journey to support animal welfare. Her attitude is so inclusive and warm, and it’s made The Animal That Changed You one of my new favorite podcasts.

I never found a podcast I’d listen to consistently until this one. In fact, when I told my friends about it, they replied with ‘but you don’t listen to podcasts!’ But I listen to and love this one. The host Katya and her guests are so knowledgeable and sincere people. Great stories on the Animals That Changed them and I love hearing Katya talk about her own doggie.

If you are the type of person who loves animals so much your heart could explode, than this podcast is for you. Katya oozes positivity and joy, and brings a peace and tranquility as one listens. The love she shares for animals is contagious. The variety of guests from many different walks of life is fascinating and intriguing. This is a great show that opens your mind and changes the way you see animals and the people around them. I assign one of the episodes to my critical thinking class when they discuss animal welfare. Great new podcast for animal, especially dog lovers but really about letting something change you in ways you didn’t expect or know you needed. The subject matter could be overly sentimental in the hands of a lesser host but Katya knows when to inject humor and candor into the conversation so it all feels relatable. Can’t wait for the next episode!
