This is a great podcast. It has helped me grow into a good DM. P.S. when will there be more pact and boon episodes?

Really good energy and enjoyable listen. As a 30-year DM, the biggest take away is the energy of other gamers sharing their enthusiasm. This is a very approachable podcast for newer folks with enough crunch for old hats to get value. I just listened to the Swol Initiative episode with analogies to body building and workout plans to DM improvement goals. Helpful ways to frame common DM anxiety. The guest gave some great advice on between game check ins

I’ve been listening to this and Pact and Boon for a while. I still need to catch up on a few episodes, but I’ve enjoyed the podcast a lot. Also, signed up for the Dungeon Master Level up guide and didn’t realize how much work I got myself into. lol. Thanks Justin!

Currently I’m at the first few episodes so things may have changed more recently, but for 10-12 minute content, including the lengthy description at the beginning (~2 minutes), having two or three ads is way too much. Their timing is also annoying, and I’ve already thought an ad was actually a tip, before a product’s name was announced. The advice is good, but a bit simplistic. Compared to other sources of such information, it’s a bit lacking, but works well for a new DM. I feel like some of the advice is not really necessary, such as “you need players” or “you can play pre-made adventures”, as they’re slightly evident. Again, it’s good for a new player, not so for anyone more experienced. And turning it down to 1 ad, and then maybe another one at the end (such as for the sessionzerostudios news).

This has to be the best DM podcast out there but as a home brewer wish there was more episodes like that. But Justin is a great podcaster and I recommend this to any player or DM alike

This podcast definitely started a bit slower but has only gotten better in quality! This is one of the most helpful shows for new and experienced DungeonMasters on the market. The information is concise and the episodes are packed to the brim with meaningful tips and help we all need for our campaigns. Give it a listen and then listen to the rest of the episodes.
