The main host seems to always struggle with speaking coherently and stumbling over his words and repeating himself consistently, which i got over at first but is now of great annoyance. it doesn’t help that his topics or discussions of the week always seem to be the same retreading! who is his editor and who is coming up with these conversation points! this show needs more diversity in its content because these are a slog to get through unfollowing 👎

SCREAM with Ryan C. Showers is a great podcast show. It’s entertaining to hear about the different views and takes that Ryan and his guests express about the SCREAM movies and any updates regarding SCREAM actors. It’s a breath of fresh air to hear positive and healthy attitudes about the SCREAM franchise, especially in these moments, in which there are many toxic fans who are angry about Melissa Barrera’s firing from ‘SCREAM 7’, and have been encouraging a boycott of the movie, harassing any actors who are considering to star in the movie, and are harassing any fans who support the movie. If you love the SCREAM movies and want to keep up with any updates about the SCREAM franchise, you will absolutely love this podcast show. I recommend anyone who loves the SCREAM movies to watch this podcast show. You won’t regret it.

As a horror movie fan, I recently found this podcast, and I have loved it. He’s a Scream franchise fan, as am I, but he his unique perspective has challenged my preconceptions and I love it. Ryan is clearly a fan, but his bubbly personality and willingness to have an open mind in regards to other opinions has made him a pleasure to listen to. He’s recorded podcasts with crew members from the Scream franchise that are a blast to hear! He also engages with his fans and includes them on his journey, and I’ve never seen him yell or be abrasive to anyone who disagrees with him. I’m really glad I found this guy, and would highly recommend.

I love this podcast. It’s all things Scream. The host, Ryan is so knowledgeable and has so much passion that oozes into every episode. The deep dives into screen times, costuming and just pure acting really makes you become more engulfed in the Scream universe where you want to watch the movies again and again and again

I’ve been a Scream fan since ‘96 and I spent a good portion of time trying to find something to read or listen to that will satisfy my Scream cravings. This is the one! It’s not your typical movie review podcast. Deep dives and character analysis abound with the host, Ryan Showers. The man knows the Scream franchise very well! He is a known ranker and will take the opportunity to ranks things ranging from the best to least best movie, character portrayals throughout the franchise, and even the Scream adjacent films from the late 90’s. He’s even come up with each characters screen times in each film! Scream 3 has gotten hate throughout the years (as all Scream fans know) but it’s his favorite of the franchise and he will gladly have a friendly and evidence supporting debate on the topic while at the same time, respecting the opinions of the fans and guests. I implore you…if you are a Scream fan and want something other than the usual movie review, check out this podcast and find out for yourself. I love tuning into this show each week. Scream has been apart of my life since I was an 8 year old and Ryan provides a peaceful environment for the fans to be apart of and discuss the screamverse. 5 stars!!

This guy is one of the most toxic Scream fans ever. Whenever he has a guest on that will disagree with his viewpoints he will downplay and disrespect their opinion and try to prove his is right. And also, god forbid someone say anything negative about Scream 3. If someone does that he acts like a lunatic and tries to tell them they’re wrong. It’s scary how cult-like his following is. He only likes people who consistently agree with his viewpoints and worship him. This guy has no right to be discussing this amazing franchise with his toxic attitude and no right to be a lawyer either (as he likes to point out so much). Not to mention when someone call his out on social media for his behavior, he tries to play victim and his cult comes to his defense. It’s pretty sad and pathetic.

Also Joey kicked the f’n crap out of his script. Good enough that I’d be willing to accept being spoiled on the entire movie if it was the real Scream 7.

You will be especially fed if the characters and story are of any interest, as there are countless deep dive episodes on characters and relationships in the story. Being a true fan of the Scream franchise… The Scream with Ryan C Showers podcast is exactly what I’ve been looking for!! Ryan and his guests give us content that never gets boring or repetitive and is fun to listen too. Joining the patreon opens up a whole new world of Scream as well!

I was a GUEST on an episode of this podcast back when it was fairly new, before Scream (2022) came out. I was told my episode had a great reception and that listeners loved me. So I reached back out to Ryan recently to talk about Scream 6 and was told I had to pay-to-play — only Patreon subscribers would be able to be guests on the podcast. That’s… sad. But go off, Ryan, make ur coin.

When I discovered podcasts solely dedicated to the Scream franchise, I was delighted on what I might find. After trying to listen to this show, I find it revolting what this host (that refers to himself in the third-person) continuously preaches and virtue signals on. Ryan, you’re one to talk about rallying against toxic fans when you reach levels of toxicity about what you don’t agree with. Don’t like Scream 3 that much and think it’s too much like a contrived Scooby Doo movie? I can’t trust you! You don’t matter! You think that Scream 4 is a return to form? How dare you besmirch my unhealthy obsession of a movie!! Oh, you would be excited if a prior character were to return to a horror movie? You’re ridiculous and stupid!! Listen, bud — it’s a horror movie. It’s FICTION. It’s not that deep. See, when you classify Scream as an elite and classy franchise, you’re delimiting what Scream can be. The franchise is centered around a villain who wears the same costume and does the same material movie after movie…we’re not dealing with realistic elements for most of what this franchise is. And these terms “classy” and “elite” make you a killjoy gatekeeper. If you enjoy RCS’ constant interrupting, catching his breath, and moaning over obsessive topics, such as ‘90s pop movie stars being “ultimate horror,” then this show is for you. Perhaps less self-indulgence and a more objective appreciation for the movies and its fans would make this show tolerable.

Scream with Ryan C. Showers is truly a gift to the Scream fan community, in large part because Ryan works so hard to involve other Scream lovers into his podcast. I listen to many podcasts about other media and pop culture passions of mine and, though I love them, there truly exists a barrier between the hosts/guests and their listeners (an occasional fan comment gets read, but that’s about it). Ryan has an encyclopedic knowledge of the franchise — but his thinking and analysis of the films is ever-evolving; he himself credits this in part to hearing from other Scream lovers and listeners of his podcast, many of whom he has on as guests for special panels. It’s an innovative and generous way to build community and a way to keep things fresh, with new perspectives and observations about these movies we love and have seen (at least) dozens of times. He’s also managed to somehow get an episode out every single week since he started the podcast, so there’s an incredible back log of episodes that run the gamut from deep dives about characters from individual films to incredible and energetic interviews with the likes of Marianne Maddalena and Radio Silence.

As a Scream fan, I was super excited to listen to a podcast that was aimed strictly towards the Scream franchise. I was excited to possibly hear some fun guests included in the Scream franchise, and hear some deep cuts from the films. Well, I was wrong here. While I give props to getting radio silence and Marianne Madelena (the two most interesting episodes mind you), I kept gathering that this host is all about his own gavitas, and speaking about only what he wants to speak about. Giving the occasional, "ohh, hmmms" to his guests, as demeaning without actual words as you can get when he doesn't agree. Perhaps try to gather more people involved in all 5 films, especially with the platform you've been rewarded. We understand you are a law student, and an intern, and that you LOVE Scream 3. Get over yourself, your image, and the 3rd installment, and listen to what your listeners want, especially at the prices you charge for the patreon tiers. Inclusivity is key here.

I was actually scheduled to be a guest on this show in Summer '21 not long after it launched. Ryan and I briefly touched base and then either day before or of recording, he suddenly had to push me back. Of course, never heard from him again lol. That being said, this is a must listen for Scream fans. Ryan is both incredibly knowledible and passionate, and it always shows. My one little nitpick is - we get it, bud. You love Scream 3. Other than that, I still give the podcast a 5-star rating because it clearly accomplishes what its set out to do.

I go straight for my morning coffee and turn it on. Ryan C. Showers is an experienced film buff with the ultimate knowledge and love of Scream. He has seen these films more times than anyone I know. He takes a deep dive into the characters, themes, symbolism, and so much more. He has guests each week who bring new perspective and keep it fresh. He was even able to get Radio Silence as guests before the latest installment release. If you love Scream or scary movies in general - this is the place to go. Take my word for it and listen!!

Typically, I can tell within the first episode of a podcast if I’m going to like it or not. SCREAM with Ryan C. Showers was one that had me hooked from the beginning. There was nothing artificial about his excitement for the franchise, his first guest was his sister. From there, he will typically have a different guest every week. He has his circle for the big announcements or trailers. It’s great to hear the enthusiasm when trailers would drop, or when he would have crossover episodes. What better way to make his guest host feel at home than to have them share their SCREAM story. It’s a moment that bonds us all. The show is for everyone from the casual viewer to the hardcore fans. There are in-depth character analysis and countless rankings and tidbits which will make you sit and think. You can hear the excitement in his voice and in those of his guests. This podcast was created for the fans, by a fan. What could be better?

As a person who grew up with but wasn't a huge fan of Scream, it is nice listening to people who love the franchise as much as they do. Listening to this podcast has given me the opportunity to revisit the movies on my own and find a new appreciation for the series. Keep up the good work.

I look forward to the new episodes. It’s interesting and I feel entertained the whole time. I do wish the host wouldn’t cut off his guests while they are talking, which is done frequently. Overall though, the episodes are interesting and it’s interesting to see different opinions on the franchise.
