Just found this podcast and have been binging. I like the matchups and the interesting takes and their individual insights. I also like that they aren’t reviewers. Hopefully more are coming.

I work in the film industry so I surround myself with all things film at all times and it can get a bit stale after a while. I have to say it’s hard to find fun podcasts about movies. Mostly you find pods that ramble on about super technical reasons why the movie is fantastic and award winning. I just don’t care anymore. I want to hear who would win in a fight, the shark from Jaws or the T-Rex in Jurassic Park!!!!! I love this pod for cutting through the noise and making movie watching fun again.

Great Podcast, I especially loved the matrix versus inception episode. I do believe I have the perfect Recommendation: The Prestige versus The Illusionist

I didn’t know what to expect when I saw the title. I’ve heard the movie battle formula done in a cheesy way in the past. That being said, the chemistry these guys have is amazing. They say they are best friends and you can see it in the chemistry. Don’t be fooled, they aren’t just “battling” movies. They start off with incredible research and insights into the greatest films. Also, the movie scoring system isn’t a traditional set up. They make up theoretical categories which lead them down funny rabbit holes and reveals of more information. It strikes the balance of comedic and informative. I can’t wait to listen to all of them!

I would love to see Lethal Weapon vs Beverly Hills Cop!! Both movies have become franchises. These are two great action comedies. You guys are very entertaining. I am currently listening to Die Hard vs. Speed. The first episode I ever listened to was your most recent one, Field of Dreams vs. The Natural. I agree 100% that FOD should win!

As far as a movie review podcast goes, this is one of the best I’ve listened to. I appreciate their unique approach of pitting two movies in the same category against each other for each episode and they have an excellent sense of what movies go together. These guys really know their movies and it’s clear they have a genuine love for film. I have my own movie review podcast and I respect the content MWP is putting out. You can count on me as a dedicated listener. Keep up the good work!

I have thoroughly enjoyed each episode. The depth of the analysis has made me want to go back and rewatch these movies with a new perspective.

Sometimes you just want to listen to a podcast that isn’t going to be heavy. Movie Wars is that kind of podcast. It will entertain you, it will make you laugh, and you will learn things about movies you love that you didn’t know before.

The “match ups” are very well planned, and the hosts are informed, funny, and highly entertaining. Great podcast for movie lovers, especially action/sci-fi from the 80’s and 90’s.

I really enjoyed this- super entertaining and well-researched! I felt like I was just listening to friends talk about movies. Definitely worth subscribing to make sure I catch another interesting movie pair. Good job, Kyle, Drew and Phil!

I think there’s 2 things going on here - 1. This podcast is completely unpretentious. It’s clearly made by guys who like movies for people who like movies. This isn’t a movie criticism podcast and frankly it’s so much better for it. 2. The categories for the ‘wars’ part are witty and make for good conversations. I won’t spoil them - go listen! The hour-ish for the podcast whipped by because it’s an enjoyable listen! Give it a sub. You won’t regret it.

Kyle Drew and Phil are informative and hilarious. They don’t take themselves too seriously but obviously love and know movies. The score card is a refreshing mix of old school movie categories and fun hypotheticals. Can’t wait to hear more.

I love that Movie Wars doesn’t do traditional review podcast. Although the hosts don’t claim to be critics, they are incredibly knowledgeable and well researched. I can’t wait to hear more episodes! The war card categories are also funny, creative, and create amazing hypotheticals that any die hard fan would love.
