i loved listening to this show and even when i had different opinions from the hosts it was usually still thought provoking and fun, but the aggressive ableism in the latest episode (hells bells) was so disgusting, i don’t think i can to listen to any more. in a way it wasn’t even surprising to hear, as it has gotten increasingly hostile (not just toward fictional characters), but this is something i cannot look past.

Ugh the Xander bashing.. tell me how you don’t understand the times and characters without telling me. Look at it through a sanctimonious current day judgmental lense. It’s a shame really… wish I could stick with it. As an OG Buffy and Angel watcher … I am always on the lookout for a thoughtful rewatch podcast.

So tired of this band wagon. Why start a Buffy podcast for a passionate and loyal community when you just bash on one of the main characters? He’s a teenage boy / comic relief. He’s a loyal friend to Buffy.

This is a great podcast for Buffy fans. It’s funny and insightful.

I started listening to them when they were going through season 3 (I think), and since then I’ve loved their coverage of the show. I haven’t seen the actual show in a long time, but I know it well enough to follow along without watching along, and this podcast makes me love the show (not the showrunner) even more. They just started putting out the Buffy season 6 episodes, and while it’s certainly nowhere near the end, it still feels like it.

I’ve only been listening for a few months, but this is one of my favorite podcasts. I’m loving the discussions about souls and how people are after being turned/the whole vampire lore. It’s fascinating. I’m with you guys on the take that maybe your personality truly comes out after being turned. Maybe it lowers inhibitions in an extreme way? I wish the show went more in depth with it, but the discussions are still fun. Oh and the recent episode where Angel so dramatically thinks he’s about to lose his soul- you know the one- I don’t think the show was going for a fake out to the audience necessarily, I think Angel got dramatic in that last scene because he wanted to lose his soul so badly and was basically recreating what happened with Buffy. Kind of attempting to will that into existence. Just a thought after listing to that episode. Anywho, I love the podcast and look forward to new episodes.

This is actually my first ever podcast. I never thought I’d be into podcasts because I generally don’t like only hearing people talk, I like having a visual as well. I decided to give this a try because I’d heard so much about it on the fanfic Discord server I’m part of. I jumped in on the latest episode, then had to immediately go back to the beginning because I fell in love! I only listen on my way to and from work, so I can pace myself and not just binge through the entire show. I discovered Buffy the summer after S5 and, like Kristin, caught all the reruns on FX. I then joined live when S6 premiered. I’m a total Spuffy shipper for the very reasons that Trevor and Kristin go into and I love that we share so many of the same opinions. But, I also love hearing some new ideas they share that just blow my mind at times. So glad I finally started listening! My only request is to make longer episodes!! 😉

Although I’m finding this while they’re in Season 4 I’m happy I found it so late because now I have so much amazing content ahead of me to catch up! I’m almost at the end of Season 1 and I love how this is going so far. I love listening to Trevor and Kristin comb through every episode, it’s like I finally found those friends who love Buffy the way I do! They’ve definitely gained a fan for the rest of this journey that’s for sure. If anyone’s looking for a great Buffy podcast this is the one for you! Also, Trevor your Buffy Lego scenes are AMAZING! Please keep those up!

This podcast is the exact Buffy podcast I’ve been looking for. I don’t understand the Buffy podcasts that defend/like Xander, those that hate or only tolerate Spike, and those that hate season 4 and love season 3. Spike is my favorite and I ship Spuffy unapologetically. And it’s great to find others that view this show as I do, cause I was starting to feel like I was in the minority. I may still be in the minority, but at least I’m not alone in my feelings. I’m also new to the Buffyverse, and I am glad I found this pro-Spike and anti-Bangle podcast.

I’m only on the first episode and I already love it! I am looking forward to all the Spuffy friendly content as well! The hosts are already so likeable!❤️

Found this podcast because of Trevor’s dope Instagram Buffy Lego videos. I love that both hosts are in the Spuffy camp. It’s great to listen to them breakdown each episode & gab about my favorite character Spike. If your a Spuffy fan these are your peeps.

I am not a podcast person, typically, but I heard good things about this podcast and as a huge Buffy fan (I run a fanfic archive) it is *chef's kiss* amazing. Trevor and Kristin thoughtfully break down the most iconic moments of the series while respecting the characters, though also without shying away from the series' more problematic elements, particularly those that were glossed over or romanticized. There are things in Buffyverse that didn't age well at all and they do not hesitate to call those out. Still, their love for the show (and excitement to delve into each episode) is palpable, and the result is something that is somehow simultaneously nuanced critique and utter fan flailing, and all the more credible because of it.

Listening to ABP is like sitting down with a bunch of friends who love Buffy and chatting about what's great, what's problematic, and what could have been. Trevor and Kristen's love for and knowledge of the show shines through.

I love the discussion of my favorite show ever. If you haven’t watched the full series, skip this podcast until you’re done with the whole show. The hosts let you know “spoiler alert!” AFTER the spoilers (it’s actually kind of funny….if you already knew the spoiler). -K

I’m excited to find a thoughtful revisitation of Buffy. This show is close to me heart and it’s so much fun to listen to hosts that openly share their love, passion, and honest critiques of such a complicated and nuanced series.

I don’t know anyone I could have chosen who are better to talk about Buffy. I mean besides me. Can’t wait to hear you gab about a show I’ve watched all the way thru at least 3 times including when it first aired!
