    Best political podcast on Michigan
Thanks for doing this podcast- great insights on Michigan politics. 2026 will be wild, including senate and governor races.

    Mixing mix-up
Since I can’t find any other place for feedback, I’ll have to give this here. Hopefully you’re already aware, but the content and commercials are overdubbed beginning at roughly 28:00 for a couple minutes and there’s dead air at the end, making me wonder if all the content and commercials got included. How about a re-release? The overdubbed content sounded like it might be the best if the episode. On Federal issues, you guys are at your best when you’re covering the stateside ramifications. (And yes, I’m implying there’s been a bit too much on the *purely* DC stuff lately.) Generally, it’s been a bit light on the Lansing/district/county/local stuff while the Ds have been trying to prioritize themselves this Fall, after apparently failing to complete that task over the summer. What I would consider NOT “purely DC” would be follow-up on the Common Sense state party start-up to support fusion voting and/or center-right candidates. If John James continues to be anti-MAGA on Speaker votes, he might appreciate a new center-right party to renominate him by convention next summer! I hope that’s not what got overdubbed! (In the current environment, I should make clear I’m not a Jim Jordan supporter making any kind of threat!!)

    Generations
Excellent discussion re generational voting. Since you opened the door, I'll accept your kindly invite and enter. Me a boomer. My pronouns are old hippie. First geopolitical memory, Cuban missile crisis. Assassinations to Nam to Milhaus to Reagan to Bushes to Trump. (Thruline from Nixon? Roger Stone). Despise Dems almost as much as MAGA. Gen Z gets it. They demand responsible governance, not Waffle House posturing. The issues are obvious and ubiquitous. However, I heard a Z woman trash boomers in an umbrella fashion recently. She was speaking knowledgeably re privacy and pending legislation. But the generational slurs are not helpful. We need united coalitions of decent people of all stripes with one goal: vaporize MAGA in all its iterations

    Gives me hope
It’s so refreshing so have two hosts whose political views differ but who can maintain respectful dialog and a shared belief in democracy. Thank you Mark and Jeff for your insight and down to earth commentary. From a fellow Michigander.

    Insightful Political Analysis
Enjoy the insightfulness into not only political headlines, but the political mechanics of politics.

    Good but biased
It should just be noted that this isn’t a balanced podcast. Despite being a former Republican Party chair, Jeff Timmer seems to hate conservatives more than Mark Brewer. You won’t hear a critical word about any democratic politicians here. But they do give some insightful information on back room party workings.

    Walt Short (?)
I was going to say, love this podcast. Then I listened to Walt bash the USPS several times. Even tho the USPS has been yoked with maga Postmaster General, we the employees go above and beyond to serve our customers. When political spay Pennie’s on the dollar to mail out flyers, we have to treat them like Express Mail. As for the Ballots, they are pulled out of main stream mail, hand date stamped and sorted by hand NOT machine. Please stop damaging our reputation when clearly you have never worked at the Postal Service and have no working idea of how we process and deliver the mail, INCLUDING voting ballots. Cass

    Great podcast
Every episode is full of good info. It’s nice to see Mark and Jeff remind us that there is more that unites us than divides us, especially when we are saving our democracy.

    TRUTH
The episode with Joe Trippi was so good that I had to listen twice to process all of the truths and sense of urgency to unite for our democracy!

    The real insiders
Timmer and Brewer know what’s really going on - where the skeletons are buried, how campaign decisions are made, and who are the “players” in Michigan politics. This should be a fun podcast for Michigan political junkies!
