    Loving the podcast!
As a Christian kid of the 80’s & 90’s I can totally relate to these guys. I love the reviews, the rapport, and the little asides when they veer off topic momentarily.

    Loving it
As a Christian Rock radio DJ that started in 1992, these chats are totally in my wheelhouse! Keep up the great work! 🤘🏻

So much fun for an 80s Christian Geek!
My teenage years were entirely in the 80s, and I was a weird kid who couldn’t decide if he was comfortable with “secular” music (a lot of which I’ve embraced recently). But I didn’t like the rising tide of schlock music in the CCM world. Daniel Amos, The 77s, Steve Taylor, Adam Again… these were the weird things not getting airplay anywhere. In the words of Mark Heard, “to sacred for the sinners, and the saints wish I would leave.” I wish they could afford to clear actually playing full songs, but with most of this available for streaming…

Stoked as I listen to this episode. First GC record was Space In Your Face. A friend had Z Music Television on his satellite dish and their video for If I Were a Killer came on. I was hooked! I’d live to hear an episode about Grammatrain. Saw them live way back in the day and they freaking rocked.

    Mastedon
So I was a HUGE Kansas fan during the 70s, and when Vinyl Confessions came out, that pretty much rocked my world. Played the snot out of that piece of vinyl on the Reality Rock radio program, as well as in the apartment. The Elefante brothers were like royalty, right?!? So when y’all started playing Mastedon’s debut release I was in sonic heaven (it has been decades since I’ve heard those songs). THANK YOU for the trip down memory lane. Rock on!! - John Smeby

    Great Podcast
I just discovered this podcast…and almost cried in the first episode when the hosts placed my two favorite King’s X albums among their top 3 of all time. Finally a show that gets me. Haha!

Nostalgic music of our youth takes center stage
Steve and Britt sound like they would have been best friends of mine back in the day, and probably would have been had I known them growing up as a teen/young adult in the 1980s and1990s. At nothing else, they would have been cool guys to hang with in church youth group, and I would have joined them in begging the youth pastor to take us to concerts and festivals such as Cornerstone, Atlantafest, Ichthus, Creation, etc. They review music that I grew up on and still love and focus on mostly 1980s era hard rock/alternative/heavy metal Christian music. While I don’t always agree with their assessments, I appreciate their in-depth reviews and deep dives of albums that just a few years ago I figured most Christians had forgotten about or did not seem relevant. Thanks to these two “geeks” that is far from the case. Thank you so much for keeping the music of our youth alive and keep up the great work. By the way, the new equipment makes an already great show sound better and the music clips are an added bonus.

Undercover, Altar Boys, The Choir, 77's... so niche, so perfect!

    Love the nostalgia factor!
These guys are in my same wheelhouse as music fans. Nice to know that there are others out there who love and were affected by some of the same great musicians and albums as I was. Thanks guys!

    Cool show!
This Podcast is really fun. Finding several similar Podcasts that focus on classic Christian 80’s rock/metal. Looking forward to many more episodes from these guys. Rock for the ROCK!

    Great Nostalgia With Cool Guys
This is a fun listen for those nostalgic for the music of their younger days. Two cool guys as hosts and I enjoy their back and forth on some of the favorite albums of my youth. Favorite episode so far was definite Petras This Means War! I liked how they were able to recognize and appreciate Bob Hartmans underrated songwriting, too. My tastes don’t go towards the alternative but if yours does they have picks for you as well. Hit the subscribe button on this one! Looking forward to what comes next. Hopefully more Petra, White Heart, Stryper, Pakaderm Bands, Barren Cross, Tamplin stuff etc!
