Body size diversity in entertainment is an issue that often goes unspoken or ignored by the artistic community, but is deeply felt by those who (literally) don't fit into the ideal. Abby and Luz are two of those people. Join them as they try to find their place in the entertainment industry, interview other plus size creatives, and analyze how body size is portrayed in the media they love - and love to hate. This podcast challenges stereotypes of fat bodies, honors the power of representation, and dreams of how entertainment can evolve to become more inclusive.

Oh my God! Other fat actors!
This podcast makes me feel like I’m no longer screaming into the void about representation. I’m not alone in the world anymore.

    Amazing.
This podcast means the literal world to me. It’s helped me understand fat phobia and helped me become a much better fat activist. Abby is my hero honestly. Also- if you haven’t already- could you do an episode intro talking about fat representation in anime?

One single episode changed my life!!!!!
Abby is so thoughtful, articulate and RELATABLE. I listened to the most recent episode on a mini road trip today and I was baffled by how Abby was able to string so many of my recent internal struggles into such perfect sentences. She is candid and doesn’t shy away from the realities of confronting her own complex relationship with her body and the world it inhabits.

Important perspective that should be increasingly elevated
Abby and her guests have opened my mind to how fat phobic and exclusive so much of the world is, particularly in theater and in entertainment. It shouldn’t be solely on fat folks to do this work to make the rest of us aware of their experiences, but I’m really grateful to Abby for creating this space and sharing her stories and those of her guests.

    Great place to learn
Understanding and dismantling fatphobia is absolutely critical, and Abby’s podcast offers the perspectives we desperately need. Listening to these episodes has expanded my mind and motivated me to be more vocal when I notice fatphobia in my day-to-day life. I’m so grateful for Abby’s work! This podcast is beyond worth listening to (and listening again and again and again).

Amazing show with great perspectives from within the industry!
Fatphobia is definitely some everyone over a certain size deals with in our world, and it’s great to see people discussing how was can change that. Fat isn’t a bad word, it doesn’t mean ugly or unworthy of love. It’s a body type and that’s all. I love hearing from likeminded people!

    Great listen!
A topic that pertains to so many women because, as she says, the entertainment industry is not representative of average sized women. Coming from a person who often struggles to maintain focus on podcasts this one is very relatable and super worth the listen!

A New Perspective In the Media
Abby is talking about something that happens to be push under the rug in the media. We as a society need to learn that that “fat” does not equal to “bad”. So far, I heard the intro and I am already hook. Great job and will continue to listen. From, Julian Steve🤘🏾
