Great Podcast

I started this podcast two years ago. It’s a weekly listen. When I started this podcast I thought I was a grade A lover. Actually I was a grade C lover. This podcast has taught me much. Two years ago my wife and I (married 17 years) were having sex once a month. We have both got in shape, we both take testosterone, we date weekly and talk. We now have sex twice a week. Our sex life is best it’s ever been. Jordyn Hakes is like a sister who will tell you like it is.

Episode 222 showed up on my page and I was hooked 5 minutes in. Been doing a deep dive from the beginning episodes and I can’t stop listening. And BTW Jordyn, the early episodes are Fire!! Just hit 2023 and going strong.

Not what it was

The first 50 or so episodes were outstanding! After that however the show has taken a different direction and it listener questions only. I wish she’d circle back around and do the shows based around specific topics again or maybe even around the polls she takes. It’s just falling into another cookie cutter one hour podcast that has 15 minutes or more of ads.

Jordyn is the big sister every guy needed. She’s open, honest, not afraid to do the research or admit when she doesn’t know something. She provides opinions on a level that the common person can relate to not a lecture from a doctor. Listening to her podcast is like having a conversation with a friend. This podcast could benefit from some planning and outlining and staying on track, for the listener’s sake. Sometimes there’s valuable content but it’s challenging to listen to someone freewheeling then transitioning into sponsors without any structure or discipline.

Rude.

Host was butt hurt because I asked if she could add time stamps.. acting like it was the craziest concept she’s ever heard.. even though all the other podcasts I listen to have them. She said I’m not smart enough to figure out how to skip ahead to the spot I’m trying to be at, & that I’m lazy.. so according to her I’m a lazy idiot. 😂 Seems like a pretty extreme response to a very standard question. Obviously I won’t be listening anymore, but just warning everyone that this is how she treats her listeners to try to get an easy laugh from people who watch her stories.

One of the most honest podcasts ever!

I am a bit overdue in writing this review, as I fell in love with the podcast the first time I started listening - which was a year ago. I have been a faithful listener ever since. Jordyn is a fantastic speaker and if you enjoy streams of consciousness she will appeal to you (isn't that right Todd? Whose Todd anyway? Wait. It's just name, it could be Bill). She is darn entertaining and has a great sense of humor. Jordyn is so honest. She calls is like shes it and is the epitomy of "what you hear is what you get". She will give you her best opinion and will ground it in whether she is speaking from the heart, the mind or from a pace of educated knowledge. Take it or leave it, it's always your choice. She and her podcast are a bundle of fun energy, with a wide variety of topics. Here's five stars to "Jordycakes"! Keep the podcasts coming!

A let down

Was looking forward to this podcast — I have no sexual hang-ups, swearing doesn’t bother me, I’m down for talking about all this stuff. But I listened for about 26 minutes on my way to work and just couldn’t get past the droning (was she high?) and the way she sometimes speaks with lilting accentuations — I don’t know if it’s a “Valley Girl” schtick or what. But the 26 minutes I listened (my commute is 45 minutes, btw), it was alllllll about complaining about her cold, her son’s desire to play football AND baseball, and her passive-aggressive hatred for her last 1-star reviewer. Oh, and shameless plugs for her sponsors: boner pills and lubricant. Only right before switched it off did she start getting into some actually sex talk, but by then her vapid insights had left me wondering why I’d wasted my time to begin with. *sigh*

I’ve been straight up BINGING your show for 3 days now. I love it. I’m engaged, been together 3 years, most things are great for us but we have some things we struggle with in the sexual areas of our relationship. This has been helpful in many ways to open my eyes, or his, to give me a different perspective on things, or just to hear someone’s else’s personal opinion! My Favorite Podcast

I look forward to Mondays new episodes. I love Jordyn’s perspective. I found her podcast when my marriage was not going well. Hearing her say some of the things I had heard my husband say in the past really opened my eyes. Some of the topics she has covered have exponentially improved our sex life. This is a really gooood podcast , I love that Jordyn started doing Wednesday quickies ! Shorter versions for a quick commute or if you have 30 mins or less to spare. Her voice is so soothing , the topics/ listeners questions are something you won’t find anywhere else ! If you are not listening , you better start listening.

She is smart, open, honest, funny, non-judgmental and has no biases other than a sincere desire to help committed couples improve their sex lives. Her advice is a unique combination of no-nonsense and common sense, and she treats all of her listeners’ and their questions with dignity and respect while calling them out (gently) on their B.S. when necessary. She is an excellent interviewer and actually listens to her guests which make her interviews a pleasure to listen to. My spouse and I listen together each week and always learn something new. I highly recommend!
