I don’t even read or care to read most of the books they discuss on this show lol, I just love the way they discuss everything! Somehow every show makes me feel empowered and so thankful for my female friends. They make you feel like they could be your friends and maybe even they are your friends??! It’s the perfect balance of silly, sincerely thought-provoking, and most of all entertaining! I just love my podcast friend Chelsea and this show and everyone on it!

I stumbled across this podcast and was happy to find one that I found interesting. My first choice was the Matthew Perry memoir. Well I was so annoyed listening to these hosts destroy this persons story. First of all I could not stand to listen to these ladies “ cackle on and on. And had no idea what they were referencing to. There laughter was so annoying that I could not stand to Listen to this episode. Inside joke I do not get and going off topic and talking about them selves. No offense I tuned in to hear conversation and intelligent conversation in regards to discussing Perry’s memoir. No reason to cut him up and make him a joke. Awful team busy conducting this discussion. However in spite of my feelings I went on to listen to Chet part 1 memoir discussion . Loved it!! Loved mom. Found her to be intelligent and informative The other hosts discussed her book as I thought the podcasts should be Enjoyed their opinion, thoughts etc. I enjoy laughing like the next person. But please it is so annoying to listen to hosts cracking up when I don’t see it infesting the humor. However I will continue to listen to this podcast because I thought they did excellent job with Cher. Keep mom on. Love her

After Ashley Hamilton and Claire Parker of Celebrity Memoir Book Club stole the concept of this podcast, I was intrigued. This one is way better, funnier, and more dynamic.

Found this podcast via Kate Casey’s pod and immediately fell in love! Have enjoyed going back through old episodes, especially as a person who loves books and the idea of reading, but often has a stack sitting next to my bed I just can’t get through. Favorite episode is Delta Burke interview. What an amazing connection y’all had and a great conversation for us to listen in on!

Read the book, loved it. Now am so excited to catch up on all these podcasts. Chelsea is a force, highly entertaining. She's so smart, funny and beautiful. (Plus I adore her husband )

Chelsea is a great host and entertainer! She is witty, smart and hilarious and even when I think I have no interest in the book she covers I end up LOVING the episode.

Amazing concept with even better execution. I was first shown CMBC on spotify, but was *extremely* disappointed and turned off by the lack of understanding when it came to world views other than their own (privileged) lives. Somehow Apple recommended me and I quickly binged the catalogue before becoming a patron. Chelsea goes above and beyond with a real sense of empathy, kindness, and a love for the genre that transcends the medium. She is such a gem and has inspired me in so many ways!

JFK was assassinated in 1963 and MLK was 5 years later in 1968, along with RFK two months later. Stop getting upset with people about only mentioning JFK when speaking about that time. You are showing your lack of knowledge of history. Other than that, I love this podcast.

This is my favorite genre to read and these podcast episodes are so thoughtful, smart, and well produced! I love the guests! I’m having a ball with this!

It would be a mistake to think this podcast is all light and breezy because it covers books by celebrities. Chelsea brings so much heart, passion, care, and deep reading to the books she picks and guests she chooses to discuss them with. They get into such deep and powerful discussions, whether the memoir is by a celeb Chelsea has been a fan of or read in her formative years, like Jane Fonda or Delta Burke, or someone she wouldn’t have picked herself, like Brandi Carlisle. I love how the podcast discussions build on each other with callbacks and dringo (drinking bingo) and people you wouldn’t expect to be in so many celebrity memoirs, like Henry Kissinger. If you like books and feminism and celebrity stories and gossip, this is the podcast for you!

I’ve never been a fan of celebrities but I love this podcast! The pod has helped me to recognize some underlying misogynistic opinions I’ve carried about celebrity women. Thanks to Chelsea, not only do I have more understanding and empathy for these women’s lives but have also found inspiration from them and Chelsea herself. So, proud cookie over here.

Like the pod but was sad about the Taylor/Travis one. The fact that y’all didn’t talk about how Kelce has ONLY talked so respectfully and in turn his teammates spoke the same way. Travis and his brother have spoke again and again in a great light. Also the fact that y’all didnt know that Taylor was viciously attacked w/ AI porn from Baltimore football fans that twitter had to shut it down. Taylor by doing nothing has been just trashed like Simpson BUT her bf and his team pushed back. It was the sports media and gross misogyny that was ever present even if she only was on screen less than 2/3 minutes.

I knew I had to leave a review for this podcast after I watched The Man w/ 1000 Kids on Netflix and reached for my phone to text Chelsea like she is my real life friend lol. I appreciate all the heart that goes into this podcast. Such a fan!

Chelsea does a great job and I like how it has evolved over the past few years. Its the only show for which I’m a subscriber.

This has become my daily commute podcast. Show is funny, heartfelt, and really makes you rethink the way you’ve thought about famous women who’ve been painted as dumb flakes with nothing to say and really how all women are painted that way. I love it, thank you. 💕p.s. I hate that book publishers (and courts!) protect abusers over survivors.

this podcast obviously originated as a giant infomercial for Chelsea’s own memoir which becomes a bit grating at times, but I’ve learned so much and I will be reading Chelsea’s memoir! I respect the hustle!

I found out about this podcast when Delta Burke was interviewed because I absolutely love Delta and all things Designing Women as an 80s baby! However, after that interview I started to listen to each episode and even became a Patreon member! This is an absolutely fabulous podcast that highlights and champions women. It also got me back into reading! I can’t say enough positive things about this podcast, the amazing host Chelsea, and all the interesting guests! Thanks for such a interesting, thoughtful, and reflective podcast!

This is the first time I’ve ever heard this podcast, but have been a life long delta Burke fan. Suzanne sugarbaker was an icon in my life. When I saw she had done an interview, for the first time in forever, I ran to find this episode. I have had her memoir since 2011 and it always spoke to me. I love celebrity memoirs like crazy, reading a bunch and cannot wait to hear more of your podcast. Thank you for bringing the queen delta back 👑

I haven’t read many celebrity autobio’s but I love this podcast so much. The host’s enthusiasm and heart keep me listening and it’s becoming the podcast I get the most excited about when new eps drop

If there is appointment television, then this is appointment pod listening with Chelsea and her rotating roster of guests. Coincidentally, I read a lot of these celebrity memoirs this year and discovering this podcast filled the void for my need to hear thoughtful, funny discussion about how much the turmoil, insecurities and pain of famous, iconic women can resonate with anyone. I’m excited to see this community develop lead by Chelsea’s warmth, humor and curiosity. And years later, the Delta Burke interview elated me and touched me to the core!

The hosts advertised that they had read every single Spice Girls memoir for an episode when a simple google would have revealed that they missed half of them. They would rather have clickbaity titles than be accurate about what they’re covering. The women also didn’t know much about the topics they were focusing on, so why act like they’re some sort of comprehensive source?

As a woman that was raised with so many men (luckily good ones) you’ve helped me overcome internalized misogyny that I didn’t even know was still there. Learning about women and all that we have in common and thinking how different this world would be if our voices had been heard the whole time!! Thank you for creating this space.

Trump Presidential propaganda? Really? Can’t we just get a break from all of this?

I listen to this podcast to feel less alone. I’m not the only feminist in town, and I’m not crazy. I love how Chelsea and her guests dissect and discuss these memoirs. Each episode is a history lesson in how women have been oppressed in the past and how they’re still struggling with sexism now, but it’s also about how women can win, survive, fight.

I looooove this podcast, and Chelsea’s voice pulled me through the darkest newborn nights. I’m obsessed with the memoir discussions and the real friendships and funny moments with the special guests — went back to listen to all the older episodes during maternity leave. No regrets.

I adore this podcast because Chelsea summarizes memoirs (that I do sometimes read) in an introspective manner. I’m a single mom who just doesn’t have the time to read books anymore. This podcast helps me understand the celebrities and entertainment field better. Most of all, it’s a great escape from heavier topics like politics (that are pretty frustrating for a liberal GenXer female). I’ve recommended it to many of my gal pals.

I love your podcast so much. But I am a republican. I am all for speaking your truth and freedom of speech. I don’t have a problem with that. I guess maybe stop bringing up politics. I listen to your podcast to get away from all the hate. I think you are so funny and adore you. Also why bring up police so much. Doctors make mistakes all the time. Does that mean all doctors are horrible. I love our law enforcement and stand with them. Not all cops are the same.
