HotDogLAIt’s interesting.I was wondering if this was AI generated? It sounds a lot like NoteBookLM. It’s a fun podcast.

vickie11201I burst into guffaws so oftenWhen listening to this show. I appreciate getting to know Craig a bit more and I already feel like Michelle is a girlfriend (from reading her books)-she feels so free to be herself!! I was a bit skeptical about the interview with Brian Chesky (AirBnB has had issues over the years) but it was a really great revelation to hear about his roots and how he’s striving to be a different kind of tech leader.

MaryMarg04627Opinions Well Worth Listening ToI’m so happy I found IMO! I love to listen while gardening. Both Michelle and Craig have wonderful insights and their sibling ties are sweet and endearing. Their banter reminds me of my beloved brother who died two years ago. They’re smart, savvy, and their upbringing is so relatable. I recommend this to everyone I know!

SweeteaaaYES!I was seeking something to listen to before bed and found it! Michelle Obama is delightful, honest, and brilliant. It’s a treat to get to witness her in this format with her brother, which brings out her authenticity in such a special way. Never thought a 1st Lady would be so relatable and accessible. Beautiful podcast!

Jacquelyn SabyckyjVery Tone DeafThis is just Michelle and her brother complaining about how much she hates her marriage, her PRIVILEGED life that WE, the American people gave her. 😱 She has to buy her family’s food? Oh no!! Has to pay for her children to fly on private planes? The absolute horror!! How dare she pay for her life, like the rest of us? She had a 55,000sq/ft mansion with UNLIMITED STAFF… but we are supposed to feel bad for her for having to buy the food to feed her family.

rosiepiesPhenomenalMichelle Obama and Craig’s new podcast, IMO is an absolute gem—both grounding and profoundly relevant. It delves into a wide range of topics, from family dynamics and relationships to the pursuit of happiness, all while offering nuggets of wisdom that feel both deeply personal and universally applicable. The chemistry between Michelle and her brother, Craig, adds a wonderful layer of warmth and authenticity, making each episode feel like an insightful conversation with old friends. I find myself referencing episodes to my 11-year-old, encouraging them to listen to the impactful advice and life lessons that are shared so naturally throughout the show. With each episode, I’m reminded that it’s not just a podcast—it’s a collection of teachable moments that resonate long after the final words. I am such a fan!!!

DkwestonNopeBoring, she is privileged yet so ungrateful. Hard pass.

LilmissJayRelatable and real–no matter where you come fromI really enjoy this show and appreciate how Michelle, Craig, and their guests bring a range of thoughtful perspectives to deeply relatable human experiences. It’s hard to take some of the negative reviews seriously—they often seem rooted in political bias or snap judgments based on out-of-context social media clips. Michelle stands out for the empathy she brings to callers’ challenges. She comes across as a real, grounded person, while also being clear and self-aware about her position of privilege. I’ve never found her “whiny”; instead, she shares her views with balance and honesty. Her candor shows that no matter your background, we all deal with many of the same emotional struggles.

Jen Tee LbcOnly 3 episodes in. Love it!! Don’t believe these weird hate bot reviewsSo far just loving their story/truth telling on their beautifully honest, loving , funny, honest family stories and interviews. Can’t wait to experience more. Had to jump in and write an initial review as I can’t don’t believe the negative reviews that appear to be bots as they just don’t align on the great convos I’ve heard here.

TracyG loves ChiChicago Southside FamilyWhenever I hear Michelle speak, and now her brother too, I feel like I’m listening to close friends. I also grew up in Chicago in Shore Shore. However, we became California transplants about 20 years ago. Anyway, I am enjoying this podcast. Please keep it going. Thank you.

GdanylleNeededI'm loving my recent (1 year) love of podcasts and I immediately added this podcast to my list when I saw Michelle's name. It is sometimes refreshing to hear your partner's (Craig) voice also, and I'm loving the guests. My fav so far has been Ms. Ellis Ross. 💕

kaybeehooDelightfulThere’s something about hearing siblings laugh together… it’s fun, not too heavy, not too light. They’re witty and sharp and relatable.

LSM912NY BashingLove them and the content. As a lifelong NYer the NY comment made me sad.

Knowles #1Great PodcastThis is such a great podcast. The ones giving it one star are haters that don’t like her anyway. You will NEVER dim the forever FLOTUS light!!!
-
Sochzrd7FantasticThe concept and guests are fantastic. The hosts flow well with their guests, and always go back to the initial question posed by an audience phone in. Any low ratings seem to come from people that haven’t not heard the podcast and simply have previous dislike of someone they don’t even know. The actual quality of the show is wonderful.

Cea MusicLove it!I have to say that I was reluctant to read Michelle’s book Becoming (mainly because I’ve always found political books boring) until a cousin (who is a education scholar) said, Michelle has something to say; she writes well; and she gives antidotes that are useful and practical that you don’t always read about. I have to say I loved her book! With that in mind, I decided to take a listen. I enjoy how Michelle and Craig bounce off each other with childhood memories and current life stories. I enjoy how they relate to their guests. I listen to a lot of podcasts, especially late at night, when I don’t want the tv shining in my face. Podcasts are hard to pull off. Constant interviews and figuring out how to keep it interesting is hard work. I am actually surprised that podcasts are popular, because the format is the same for all of them. I’ve never found Michelle or Craig pretentious or fake considering who they in the world. I’m glad they are sharing their experiences in the podcast world.

Donutsandcoffee7677Thank you for opening your kitchen table to usI loved the analogy at the end of the first episode about (and I know I won’t say it exactly right) but how we need more “kitchen tables” today, and how they want to create an environment for their listeners like they had growing up in their parents house. And I feel that throughout the episodes I have listened to so far. I believe there is so much wisdom to be gained from listening to others’ perspectives and experiences… and I just feel this is a fantastic way to do that. Thank you, Michelle and Craig!
-
theeonlyKhaleesi92GratitudeThank you Craig and Michelle for sharing your life with us and being our podcast aunty and uncle. It means a lot to hear many of the topics you guys have covered so far.

DianeplayaNopeI tried. It’s hard when you’re interested but all you hear is whining. She should walk in my shoes.

-
mobamba37AmazingThis is an amazing podcast from an even more amazing, inspirational woman. I truly wish the “fake” reviews from disgruntled people that are clearly politically charged were vetted. Michelle Obama has been someone I looked up to, and this podcast has confirmed it even more! She reminds me of some of the women in my family or in my circles in general, and I’m truly glad to be able to hear more of her perspectives.
-
Jeanne from the blockWonderful 🥰What a wonderful idea of creating a podcast with your brother, Iove the inside peek at their collective life knowledge, I’m taking notes. I enjoy the energy, knowledge and the guests, thank you both, fan for life!
-
brysonzThe Michelle and Co. Complaining HourOne of the most powerful women alive today complains about how difficult her life is. Let me play the world’s smallest violin.
-
Me MYZELF and eyeYess!I appreciate a REAL down to earth and funny First Lady living her best life and pursuing things outside of a man. The racism in these reviews from people that barely passed 1st grade should not be aloud. Shame on you Apple!!
-
SupmayzThank you for sharingI absolutely love your dialogues. Thank you for being so vulnerable together and sharing your wisdom. And you pick such incredible guests and voices to uplift. I look forward to you podcast weekly!
-
mlsmithtxNot for meWhen you’re done whining about your privilege life, will you do an episode explaining how you left the White House so extraordinarily wealthy?

Penelope🏋🏾♀️A beautiful, joyful and powerful podcast!!!I find myself smiling from ear to ear as Michelle and her brother bring on incredible guests many of them talented, inspiring Black voices to share stories that are real, nostalgic, and deeply moving. It feels like being part of a meaningful, affirming conversation that I didn’t know I needed. I hate seeing how some people leave unfair, racially motivated reviews in an attempt to bring the show down—it’s disheartening. Yes, the ad breaks can feel a bit long, especially since the show is still fairly new and finding its rhythm, but that doesn’t take away from the overall experience. I’m truly enjoying every episode and look forward to more.

Jameela TDisgraceful Former FLOTUSMichelle Obama has to be the most negative, unappreciative person on the planet. I’ve never heard so much complaining, and bemoaning from a former FLOTUS. It was SO hard to live in The White House. Give me a break. Not going to Trump’s inauguration was petty & childish. That’s part of the gig for having the great privilege, not once, but twice, of being the First Lady. Put on the dress, show up, and SMILE. Be gracious. Wasn’t it Michelle who said, when they go low, we go high? Too bad she doesn’t really behave that way. So completely narcissistic and out of touch. This is proof that even when she’s been blessed with more than she deserves, Michelle can still be miserable and self absorbed. No sympathy from me!

WhybemeankindiseasyNeeds just a tweakI like the format and structure of the podcast. I would suggest some transitions when guests are arriving and before and after the questions. I like the real life aspect of the podcasts and that it’s not all about the guest. I enjoy the brother and sister dynamic. What people have to understand is that money doesn’t mean you don’t struggle, you may struggle differently. Having financial stability doesn’t mean she shouldn’t share what she has gone through or is going through…… how fair is that as humans that we must be invincible if we have money. Hate will never end so this message is truly to anyone that is considering this podcast but reading some of the “victim” reviews…… she doesn’t complain SHE SHARES HER EXPERIENCES! She is also realistic that people will find something to hate about her. Craig does a great job trying to steer conversations back to the questions so the dynamic works really well.

Jlondon71Never HappyWhether it’s someone cutting in front of her at a yogurt shop, or having to pay for food, this lady is ALWAYS oppressed. Mish should do a week of shows centered around positive messaging or stories. Would go along way to change peoples perception of her.
-
MzSmithyInsufferableWith a million and one podcasts to choose from, why select one from a privileged narcissist, packed full of complaining and whining about how hard and bad her life is? SMH
