erikwsmithGreat podcastI really enjoy your podcast and love your prosecutors take on the cases. The only thing I will complain about was during one of your outtakes you mentioned how great the Foo Fighters where and that Kurt Cobain killed himself. As much as I trust your conclusions on most cases you will never convince me that Kurt Cobain wasn't murdered. Also imagine how much more great music we would have gotten had he not been killed and him and David had made more music together.

SocialworkerlawProfessional & legally correctSome people have trouble hearing the truth (loser public defenders hating obvi lol) & think they know more. Alice & Brett are awesome & they know the law, obviously sooooo.
-
cnjoy12345Good podcast but needs workI like this podcast, but sometimes it does seem like you have an agenda and you cover cases that you think the public got wrong. I wish they would be more transparent about their very obvious bias towards prosecutors and that side of the law. Also, Alice rambles for wayyyyy too long that it's hard to stay engaged. You cover cases that you want to show people what you think the truth is, and we can see right through it. You are too biased to have a podcast.
-
HaydenkimptonMy Favorite Podcast!!I love the podcast as well as Brett and Alice are always the best. The talking honestly is the best part and for those who say otherwise. They are prosecutors. Talking is what they do best just a btw. My question is as a first year law student this August I am curious about your experiences in Law school? Best parts, first days, favorite/not so favorite classes?

Leslie0384False informationThis podcast gives a very one sided view that is very skewed. They misrepresent facts to paint their picture and tell the story they want you to hear for views and to get more downloads and dollars. They don’t care about the lives of the people they’re talking about. They do this all under the guise of being wholesome and kind. If you want facts look elsewhere.

eaw929MAGA: Nope!I listened to a bunch of episodes thinking they were both non-Trump conservatives, which I don’t mind engaging with. Recently saw an article confirming both are deep in MAGA delusion. I can’t take them seriously as attorneys now. People who care about justice don’t vote for felons. Unfollowing.

Debbie18126Questions for my 5 star review/best podcast everI just served on jury duty for 15 days for a homicide trial and have some questions! First of all, the defendant started out representing themself. It was not going well and standby counsel took over once the trial started. Based on your experiences, how common is it for a defendant to represent themselves? Why would anyone do this especially with such a serious charge and punishment (life in prison no parole)? The defense never put on a case. How common is this too? It was very obvious he was guilty but I was still surprised they didn’t present anything. The cross examination of the prosecution witnesses was brutal. The questions seemed to make no sense and were just delay/stalling tactics? Is this common too? Finally just wanted to add the prosecutor used the raining outside example as direct vs. circumstantial evidence and I was like hey!!! I know that lol PS this is the best podcast ever!!!!

reece0119Best podcast out here!!!Love you guys so much!! Thanks for using your spare time to help us understand the legal side of true crime. Don’t stop being you!!!!
-
njmobileHave to leaveYou all are too prosecuting leaning. There ARE innocent people out there!

Arock1991Love the podcast. Could you cover Molly Bish? What major case should we look forward to being solved next and why?

truth2023I’m outJust found out that Mr. Talley is MAGA and I can’t. In good conscience listen to someone who holds his views. Think I’m overreacting read what ACLU says about him. Do what you want but I’m out.
-
SureBert330Good storytellers, with biasI used to enjoy this podcast until Brett and Alice showed incredible bias in the Karen Read case. They omit/downplay court-based facts that help the defenses argument, while laughing off the possibility that something else could have occurred. I am glad that I won’t have to hear Alice’s laugh anymore, but maybe I will listen to their apology episode once Karen Read gets acquitted of all charges.
-
Joey53437Impressive!Very good show. Was very surprised by the fairness of the coverage. Expected it to be way more slanted but I was surprised. Apparently every conviction is NOT a wrongful conviction!
-
DCDGSGDifferences of OpinionAre there any well known cases (or any case) where you two have a difference of opinion on a suspects guilt or innocence?
-
Dawn_In_AZI love this podcast!I’ve been listening to this podcast for years. I heard about it from another podcast I was listening to and was intrigued by the premise. I was so happy to get to hear cases from this perspective, it’s really fascinating. This podcast (and Legal Briefs) quickly became my favorites. I anxiously await new episodes and I’m never disappointed!!

FitnessMissyDynamic DuoNo question, just two comments. So mad at the one star who was mean about Alice’s voice! I think you and Brett both have GREAT voices. Also, I appreciate the thoroughness on The West Memphis Three series - excellent work and very educative. 👊🏻
-
Fair minded listenerEcho ChamberThey are just as bad as Defense Diaries with biased information. Biased research, they go in with guilty mind (unless paid otherwise). Only want listeners to agree with them. Make fun of you if you don’t agree with them & and if you push back they will block you.
-
betsy 70Listening no moreThey are not as smart as they think . Especially one case in particular. They got it all wrong . They send innocent people to prison ! Losers losers losers ! Entitled they think they are so smart !!
-
75BEBest PodcastI love this podcast! I love hearing and learning about all these specifics of the cases they do. Brett and Alice have such a great banter and are down to earth people! I thank you for all the time you put into this show❤️
-
Bear cakezRedundantUsed to be good/ however quality has gone down significantly as it seems they’re just trying to run out the clock now each episode. Redundant- Alice especially- and “dumbing down” the facts over and over again- we get it. Your listeners aren’t as stupid as you seem to think we are. Also- the hard on for Karen read is off putting, to say the least.
-
RonneiciaI Fell in Love With Both of ThemNot gonna lie, this is the second true crime podcast I actually genuinely enjoy (yes even down to the banter and you guys talking about your kids. how can people hate that i have no idea!) I just started listening about 2 weeks ago and I started from the beginning and have no plans to stop. Please keep going guys! This is truly amazing work❤️
-
VeuvevwWanted to like itI wanted to like it because the concept is good. Wanted to hear a prosecutors view of Karen Read. Problem is, they’re so incredibly biased that it comes off as unhinged. Thanks, but no thanks.

Mpm12170Lost Colony of RoanokeLove the podcast & love the song!!!
-
KatyLovesTrueCrimsThe BEST true crime podcastI would listen to Alice and Brett talk about anything! They are extremely entertaining and relatable! I love the way they dove into a case and talk about all the “inexplicable” aspects. Even a case I wasn’t interested in before suddenly becomes fascinating. Thank you Alice and Brett! Please never stop! Question - I know y’all are world travelers… But! What is the best place you’ve traveled in the continental US?
-
RivReviewsNutsProbably one of the worst podcasts out there. Horrible takes and opinions. I’d be terrified for the individuals of whatever jurisdictions these two work in if they are indeed real life prosecutors. Hard to imagine how many innocent people they have help to frame and put behind bars. These two think Derek Chauvin and Richard Allen are innocent for crying out loud.
-
Redheadchels86Favorite podcastHaven’t left a review until I heard the kids version of your “too long” song. I love it so much!!!! Also great research on this is “This Country of Ours”
-
J.R.F.I have a question, otherwise I’d give you 1 starJust kidding. Love the podcast. Easily the best TC podcast out there and the banter is even entertaining. My question is about everyone’s favorite case, Karen Read, more specifically her defense team. As attorneys, what’s the motivation for them to take this case? I have to imagine they understand not only the evidence, but that Karen read will never be able to pay the bill for multiple attorneys, not to mention hotels, “experts” limos etc (I read somewhere she claimed to owe $5million in deferred fees before the start of the 2nd trial). Are they just hoping a high profile win will boost their careers? Hopefully there’s something good in it for them so that the fact that we’ve all been subjected to this will be worthwhile!
-
Allybear23AD NAUSEAMThese two have really interesting info about cases, HOWEVER they go over the same points and go on and on and on about it. I only need it said once and the let's move on! I think I'd like this show if it could be more concise and focused, please. Also, sometimes the reasoning is whack.
-
Lisa2018 OKUnique, honest, informative, entertainingI appreciate the way you cover cases and give your unique perspective. One of few podcasts that I trust to give an objective analysis and provide insight based on your expertise. Easy to listen to, often funny, entertaining, and educational.
-
Aggiefan01Enjoy this podI have enjoyed that they show both sides of the story and let you make up your own mind. I still don’t think the Memphis three did it but I have learned majors things about the case. The pod is great.

corin4Best True Crime Podcast EverIntelligent, thorough, and insanely entertaining! I can’t get enough of Brett & Alice!

CasieCoOne of my favoritesThere are only a couple podcasts that I eagerly await each week - this is one of them. I binged on all the old episodes I had missed way too quickly and now I’m stuck waiting 😂 Love you guys!!
-
ColorodoCoyotePretty good.Pretty good. A little more circumcision talk than I was expecting but still a really professional and informative podcast
-
faye333!too biasedYou side with the prosecution too much even when they have the facts wrong.

DaphneSaysIt's All About ChemistryI came to this podcast late, which is good because it gives me plenty of episodes to binge. I was immediately captivated by the unadulterated respect and strong friendship Alice and Brett share for each other. Their obvious affection and shared enjoyment of discussing cases is contagious, and, also unusual, especially in podcasts hosted by a man/woman team. They are perfectly matched both in their legal acumen as in their high energy, which, as a New Yorker, is in perfect sync with my own. I feel like I'm in a room with friends, interjecting and adding comments as the case unfolds. This doesn't just make listening more interesting, it adds to the vitality and the in the moment recounting. Nothing comes across as being read, having been rehearsed or overly planned out - because it isn't. Everything presented is refreshingly off the cuff, and it's the comfort level Alice and Brett share that makes this work so well. Additionally, toss in just enough personal anecdotes for the listener to feel as comfortable with Brett and Alice as they feel with each other. Personally, I love the deep dives, especially the current examination of the Memphis Three. I didn't expect to find it so fascinating, but I now realize that's because I'd heard more about the case than I knew about it. I'm finding The Prosecutors extensive research and clear reexamination of this case to be so compelling, that I'm kind of wishing it was the Memphis Five or Six, just so it could go on even longer than it will. They've laid the case out so clearly and discussed the case so thoroughly from so many angles, that I went from an opinion (admittedly not a strong opinion and one based solely on assumptions) to rethinking the whole case, and, with each episode I continue to question what happened. This what a great podcast can do - present the facts, ask the questions, raise the controversies, make you think and then rethink. Without your knowing where they stand. I do have a question, and I can hardly be the first to ask, but... you two have so much in common vis a vis your careers, large families, enthusiasm, energy levels, etc. yet you must also have as many differences, the obvious being your sex, cultural and geographic backgrounds. I'm curious to know where and how you met, and if you clicked immediately or if the friendship took awhile to become close. For the record, my money is on an immediate click and friendship at first sight. Am I right?
-
Leah JNSo much detail!!The hosts are so stinking smart and go into so much detail. Even when I think I know everything about a case, Brett and Alice cover it and blow my mind!!! I wish I could pick your brains about a lot of things but… I have one question I would love to have y’all answer. Can you explain how judges decide if they will let a defendant bring in a “the other dude did it” defense? I am always confused as to why they can bring that to trial sometimes but not every time. Thanks for all you do!!!
-
DC_ChristineThought provoking and well-covered casesI love hearing Brett and Alice cover these cases with a prosecutor’s experience. They bring up great points based on evidence, not conspiracies. So many times they bring up something that seems important only to explain why, based on their experience, it’s not so meaningful in the case. They discussed memory at length in the Syed case, I believe, and what sunset means to witness testimony. Fascinating. I don’t mind that they laugh during the show. Their jobs involve the worst of humanity. My guess that anyone in related fields try to find lightness. They also have such great chemistry. Love the show!!
-
Sher FriedmanBrilliant job on Macdonald episodes!I’ve followed this tragic story for years, and have always felt something was missing. But when you described the ice pick stabs thru Jeff’s pajama top matching the wounds in Collette’s chest, I got it. I know I’d heard it before, but something about the details you shared just clicked for me. Prayers for Collette, Kris and Kim.

😉BarbLove the show. It's important to approach negative comments with a mindset of understanding, as they often stem from misunderstandings or personal frustrations. It seems that some individuals may not fully recognize the impact of their words and how they contribute to division in our conversations, particularly with the ongoing Democrat versus Republican debates. I truly appreciate the work you both do in clarifying the legal aspects of these discussions. Your insights are incredibly valuable, and I always enjoy learning more about the law through your explanations. Keep up the fantastic work!
-
Audball1111Love the show. Follow for their take on all current popular cases and more.I started listening a long time ago and became a consistent fan during the Delphi trial. I appreciate that they offer a professional and accurate perspective on what happens in the courtroom. For people who aren’t familiar with legal proceedings, it’s easy to misinterpret things as biased or rigged, when in reality, that’s just how the system works. Question- How do lawyers decide whom to select for a jury? What are you looking for as a prosecutor versus defense. Do both the defense and prosecution get to see your juror questionnaire? Can the defense—and their client—see personal details like your name, profession, and employer? I hope that information isn’t fully visible to them, for obvious reasons. I was recently selected for jury duty as an alternate—the last one picked out of an entire group of 14, which was frustrating. I was also surprised to be picked at all, considering my background. I’m an accountant and a volunteer child advocate—roles that suggest I’m a rule follower, which I would assume aligns more with what the prosecution would prefer, not a defense attorney in a domestic violence case.
-
catsandcastsLost their marblesThough I haven’t always agreed I’ve always enjoyed and respected their coverage until Karen read. I thought she was guilty too until I looked a little deeper. They are too biased to understand corrupt prosecutors do exist. It’s so obvious in this case.
-
ritamaeartSatanic panicRichard Ramirez and the coverage of his crimes certainly could make people a believer in Satan. It helped feed into how things blew up

M. LivesHow is this THIS BAD?We’re living in an age of true crime analysis. Generally, if a podcast is hosted by two prosecutors, we can be assured this is going to be far more credible and trustworthy than some TikToker with a shocked expression and some half-read Reddit speculation, right? Oh, were it only the case! One host literally says “Baltimore is the most corrupt city, just look at The Wire!” You know, The Wire, an excellent but fictional show? Why use fiction when you can use facts, especially when real life people’s lives are on the line? (BTW, if you think Baltimore is corrupt, you might want to be sitting down for what I’m going to tell you about DC.) But that kind of confident ignorance characterizes the pod and reminds you you really can’t tell a book by its cover or a podcast by its promise. Skip this trash.

hellguh91.6LOVEAs a lifelong true crime consumer I absolutely love this podcast. Alice and Brett are so thorough and offer SO much insight your average civilian does not have. I truly can’t imagine how anyone would not like this podcast. I also really appreciate that thet share their theories. Thank you Alice and Brett!!
-
The GHMDo Alice and Brett actually read these???I love love love you guys:)! Could you take your weekly cover art and create T-shirts we all could buy! I love the cover art for each show and wondered if y'all ever considered turning it into T-shirts!?!?!?! Please consider this ok ok:) :) ❤️❤️
-
LadyCapreseOne of the best true crime podsBrett and Alice are great to listen to and bring wise perspectives to the cases they cover. For the most part, they do it best compared to the rest. I will say, it is a bummer when they go into a case you are either not interested in or don’t care to listen to because they can go on for weeks. I can’t do cases that involve children, and they’ve been on the West Memphis 3 for over 2 months with no end in site, so that takes this podcast out of my lineup for a long time. Otherwise it’s a gem!
-
advanced millennial ageParenting and friendsThinking of Adnan and the West Memphis 3, can you give some parenting advice? What would you do as Jennifer’s mom? As the parent of a kid who is friends with Damian?
