The Best All Around Sheep Pod
This is my number one, favorite podcast. Ryan, Dan, and Dr. Rosie have a lot of fun, and they also provide a lot to think about. I’m just happy there are people out there as enthusiastic about sheep, shepherding, and wool as me! Keep up the good work!

    Great show
This is a great show with friendly, knowledgeable host and guests. My only comment is some episodes need more detail in the title and description. I’d like to know the content of an episode before committing an hour of listening.

An entertaining podcast full of relevant perspectives and practical thoughts on sheep production.

Great information and generous to share knowledge
Great information. The hosts are so generous with their time and the information they present. Dan is just so awesome that I started following his Facebook farm page as well. During weeks Dan is off there is too much silliness, giggling, discussing off topics including weather (a LOT), children’s sports and even Halloween costumes but it is their podcast so I recognize they can talk about what they want to.

    Audio Quality
The way the host starts the interview, and then immediately goes off topic on some story he wants to tell, makes me turn it off immediately. It’s a waste of time. This is happened every time I’ve listen to one of these Podcasts.

    Big lambs and imports…
I want you to know that I love the podcast, BUT… industries and people have a tendency to pull up the ladder behind themselves when they do well. You had me until you said GOVERNMENT…. If you involve them in an effort to secure the volatility of the market it ALWAYS ENDS BAD! Look at milk, grain, cars, electricity… etc. the examples are endless, all bad outcomes. Why would you want the government to get involved? You mentioned the answer many times! It’s direct to consumer marketing paired with strategic cooking and preparation. If you were to go the “got milk?” route… Or the TV dinner route for turkey… Or the fish name change carp to… Or the… 4/5 stars…

    Excellent content
I have managed a large dairy in NY for several years and we just bought our first Romney sheep. This podcast is perfect to learn from down to earth practical people willing to share awesome knowledge on the industry.

    Stop clearing your throat
The October 27 episode On the Move had a tremendous amount of information. However Dan constantly cleared his throat throughout the e show. Take a drink of water, an allergy pill, or lozenges.

    Can I be honest?
This is one of the better sheep-related podcasts out there. And, to be perfectly straight-forward and honest, it’s likely the best. Though we are living in the era of the sheep podcast craze and there are countless options out there, I still choose Sheep Stuff 100 out of 100 times.

    Great
I’m a hobby sheep producer and I love this podcast. Ryan and Dan have a ton of wisdom to share with us small time enthusiasts. I appreciate the range of topics, like industry trends and business planning. Keep it up guys.

    Detail and positivity is great!
I really appreciate the detail in describing processes and how positive the speakers are. Listening to the wool episode this morning, and it answers several questions I’ve been pondering about my wool potential. Excited to do more research for my area!

    Favorite podcast!
I’ve listened to every episode of “Sheep Stuff” since the spring, and would recommend this podcast to anyone interested in livestock. Getting a glimpse into the world of ranching is fascinating and I appreciate all of the different facets of the business that Ryan and Dan explore in their conversations with each other and with additional guest experts. I’ve learned a lot about sheep listening to this, which was what I was looking for in the first place- but also about business, land management, and so many other aspects of livestock production that I never would have considered. I’m planning to add a couple of (fiber) sheep next year to our small farm in northern Maine, to rotate with vegetables and grains- a much different scale than what you’re doing but still trying to learn as much as I can and am very interested in soil science/ pasture management.s Ryan and Dan, it’s really neat to see that you enjoy what you are doing so much, and are still always looking for ways to grow and improve. I always look forward to the next episode! Hope you have a great lambing season.

    Great Podcast!
Glad to have found this podcast, Dan and Ryan are both enjoyable to listen to and very knowledgeable about a variety of sheep topics. Keep the episodes coming!

If there is no real benefit for wool production why not run dorpers? Or hair breed crosses so the belly is clean and they still shed fairly well. Hair breeds too wild for range management?

    Great info!
I enjoy the general ag, business and especially the sheep content. One of the most informative resources I have found relating to the sheep industry.

Diversity; it’s all about the diversity!
Great show, it’s good to hear from two different ranchers on two different methods of the basics of running sheep. Keep up the great work, I’ll be looking forward to more episodes.

    Fun and Informative
It’s great to have guys who walk the walk also talk the talk: this is straight from the horse’s—or sheep’s—mouth and gives real life current insights to stuff you’d only herd rumors of before.
