Rebel Heart 💜Informative!Absolutely my favorite pop culture podcast. Jess’s vast knowledge is insanely impressive and inspires completely unique interviews with people like Rosie O’Donnell and Sandra Bernard, Loved the recent ep with the Blong Ambition Tour reunion! 💕💕💕
-
HappybdayjinyleBruce Vilanch!!Stellar lineup lately with Bruce Vilanch and Jeff Hiller. Easily the best interviewer among her peers

MichelleRNAlways good!Jackie Warner has really found a new voice- intelligent, honest and insightful! Excellent start to 2025!

K BeeeeeeTotally UnderratedI’m always amazed at how much research Jess does before her interviews. It’s an absolute lost art and not enough people appreciate how much of a difference it makes. Great job, Jess! Keep it up and ignore the haters.
-
France de AtlántidaEntertaining but RepetitiveJess enthusiasm comes through in her interviews which provides for a sweet listening experience but at the other hand, she asks a question and then answer it before the guest has an opportunity to answer it for themselves. If she consider the guest important she let them talk but if she is chatting with another podcaster she will often interrupt them. Many times you're left wondering what the guest was going to say because after she answers for them, the give a short answer. Even if once, she always finds a way to talk about the Housewives of [Insert city here]. I listen to the show for pop culture, I don’t care for the Housewives. Its fine if thats Jess passion but the more diversity her show has and she allows the guests to answer it will provide for a better listening experience.

joLong82It was a fun show, but the host has a weird hang up on trans peopleFor example: on the lesbian “it” girls episode, the host made a comment about people getting top surgery in response to a brief discussion about breasts. The discussion was suggested to be moved offline, as a way to avoid getting “political.” This is not the first time that the host has made disparaging comments about trans people.

ezgirl61fun interviews!Jess is enthusiastic and a great interviewer! she does her homework and makes it fun!!
-
Uconn WDMisleadingI’ve been a fan of this podcast for years, even when she was with that annoying weasel who only wanted to hear himself talk. She is one of the best interviewers in the game, and you can tell she cares a lot about the subjects and guests. Unfortunately, for the last year or so I’ve noticed she has been re-releasing old episodes as new and not announcing it and I think that’s a bit misleading. I’m only writing this review because I highly enjoy her context and I would like her to focus on new content.
-
jface0Fantastic interviewerThe interview with Peppermint was so satisfying after seeing her on The Traitors. Jess is always so well informed and builds trust with the guests quickly to produce extremely compelling interviews always!
-
Layla1779Celebration tour reviewWow- this was absolute trash. Jess and Ben are not as well versed in Madonna as I was hoping. Calling Estelle Ester instead of taking a hot second to fact check a child’s name. They could not have hated the tour more. This was first time listening to this podcast and absolutely my last.
-
mzmarianWhy?I am so hugely disappointed you did not finish the real reason on why Madonna was in the hospital as it was edited out. I listen to your podcast every week and I love it but that was a real gut puncher!
-
jczaleskiSuch a fun listen !This is one of my Favorite podcast! Jess is a fantastic interviewer she is thorough -well spoken -easy to listen to and all the good things you can say Hot take deep dives is so interesting and so fun ! ThNk you Jess for the great content I love your podcast !
-
Daniel pbsUgh Ben Rimlover talks too muchWho talks about Liza constantly during a Madonna concert recap? Less Ben, please.
-
ByronstoneWow!!!I am a huge and devoted fan of you and your podcast Jess but I won’t be listening again if Ben is on anymore. The fact that he kept bringing up Liza and Patti Lupone and comparing them to the Celebration Tour made me sick. I appreciated your review Jess but I could not stomach Ben at all. Thankfully I already bought tickets for the concert at MSG.
-
CiscoFran33LoveLove all the Madonna content!
-
Lisa from jerseySoul Cycle DramaLoved the Soul Cycle episode. Had no idea about all the drama, hysterical 😭
-
MollyBerryThe Real “Hot Takes” Are Off-airIn the most recent podcast with Julie & Brandy, when an ACTUAL “hot take” topic came up, the statement was stifled and redirected to an “off-air” conversation. Why can’t we talk about the rapid disappearance of BUTCH DYKES in our society?! Because it’s a topic so taboo, the alphabe(T) mafia will send both literal & online mobs after you. SHAME.

BravoByBDom we nowI listen to a podcast everyday on my way home from work. Jess is one that I actually keep on! I LOVE THIS PODCAST
-
Joey SpyrosGreat podcast!Loves Jess’s podcast! She asks great questions and most importantly she lets her guests answer. The conversations flow naturally. She also gets some pretty big names for her interviews. 🤟🏻
-
jenlaraThe dream podcast host!Jess interviews the most fascinating, funny and entertaining people, and really lets them shine. She never over-talks or makes it about herself, but always asks the questions I’d want to ask, and gets her guests chatting about the most fun and juiciest details and stories. As soon as I discovered this pod I obsessively listened to all the eps one after another, and still can’t get enough. Keep it up, Jess - this podcast is a total gem and you’re amazing!
-
beachtimes80Whip-smart pop cultureLoving recent shows on Provincetown and with Jamie Stein!! I am so glad I found this pod through Danny Pellegrino! Jess has her finger on the pulse and know what I want even if *I* don’t know it yet!! 😍😍😍😍
-
iwantmohrTone is a little too earnestThe host seems to take this all very seriously but I prefer my pop culture deep dives w a bit of a wink to the camera
-
Ljh66Great podcast but…Could you please stop re-airing episodes without indicating anywhere in the description that it’s a repeat?? It’s very rude to your listeners and against common practice. It actually feels intentionally misleading. People who haven’t already heard the episode will still want to listen. But those of us who have already given you our time won’t have to listen again to try and figure out if we’ve already heard it.

GliiiiiittttttWhatTrying to capitalize off of re-posting the Ariana interview? Ick. She doesn’t need to be embarrassed because you want downloads.
-
Lue '91Amazing interviews and insightsMy favorite interviewer on the entire podcast landscape. Listen and get hooked.
-
LindaYogaGirlDifferentAbsolutely love Jess as a host, but maybe it’s no longer for me, as it’s primarily LGBT topics and guests lately. Respect your choice, but I prefer the old format of awesome people regardless of their leaning.
-
BS1258Hot Takes and Deep DivesLove Jess’s podcast. Just watched Ilene Chaiken
-
bananrama98So SADThe other reviews here make me laugh. There are none and then one day they all just appear and are so positive. This show is sad. Honestly. Hope the show improves in 2023. Just listened to it and it’s a No for me. Would love for it to improve but it does not seem to be doing so.
-
Littlehut13Replays are fine, but don’t pretend their new.The interview with Walter Afanasieff first aired on December 21, 2020. The interview with Megan Weaver first aired on December 23, 2020. I have no problem with podcasters replaying previous episodes as long as they acknowledge it instead of trying to trick their listeners.
-
aam1191So good!!!!Interview with Bruce the best I’ve heard. He seemed to jive with you and you with him
-
shaligherWell informed and engagingJess asks great questions from a researched place.
-
RHD_Getting better and betterShe has a way of putting the guest at ease and it’s more like a chat with a friend-
-
maddie@podcastingyouGreat podcast! What an incredible podcast! Jess and her guests have great rapport and interesting and thoughtful conversations—highly recommend.
-
wohin82My favorite podcast!Hands-down this is my favorite podcast! The pop culture topics are unique and Jess’ personality really shines. This is not an “interview mill” where reality stars are making the rounds and you hear the same thing over and over. Jess has lots of behind-the-scenes content and commentary. The episodes on housewives interior design and the deep dive into the boutique fitness industry were phenomenal!
-
JessaBoreNo one caresNo one cares about The Housewives EVERY other episode. Guests used to be diverse. Now they are just washed up Housewives. When did this Pod become a one trick pony? Unsubscribed.
-
jonilefkowitzMust listenThis pod is the best! Truly takes the most amazing deep dives and Jess is a really skilled host and interviewer.
-
AppleFar988Love this podcast and Jess!Jess is an amazing host and interviewer. Always does her homework and doesn’t hold back on her takes. This has become one of my favs for sure.
-
santos6260Gary Janetti & Jill ZARINWhat a two-fer this week! Two of the best most fun interesting interviews lately. Love the Will & Grace - Madonna stuff 😈. Jill Zarin advice hour was genius idea! Keep it up girl!
-
Jackieb776Compelling analysis and interviews, and a great one-stop shop for inside informationJess has a real talent for knowing what Bravo/pop culture viewers and consumers want to hear and want to know more about. She talks to extremely interesting people who are at the liberty to speak openly about their experiences, and knows exactly what questions to asks to get all the information viewers care about. The interviews flow easily and you get a sense Jess really enjoys doing what she does. She has an appreciation and knowledge of pop culture history and moments that are rivaled by few, and always brings the best “hot takes” to the table. If you are interested in reality shows, pop culture history, revealing interviews and analysis, this is the show for you!
-
sugarcanechampagneJess = queen host goddess with amazing hairThe host’s extensive research into each guest is so evident. Jess reviews the facts so the guest is free to talk about insights, new facts, and hot hot gossip. Also, her hair does not disappoint.
-
AMAZingAmazing007Best host of gossip shows :)Love her personality! What a sweet wise Leo! Dig deeper and more details! This show is the best therapy! Hopefully, it will release more often in the future! Love Jess’s juicy scoop about Bethenny Frankel, Britney Spears and Madonna! Can you talk more about Kardashian’s?
-
bravoluvSo good!Just listened to your recent interview on “unpopular w Jacques Peterson” you were so enjoyable there. Can’t wait to listen to your pod!

-
fashionlaw123Favorite podcast !Love this podcast , the host is very well spoken and I look forward to every new episode
-
spkurlandOne of the best “pop” podcasts out there!Jess Rothschild makes the perfect host for a show that’s quickly become a favorite. She’s engaging, smart, with a sense of humor and great vibe who doesn’t dumb anything down on the often-maligned subject of pop culture in the US from past and present. A total standout from the plethora of other “pop culture related” podcasts. Her topics and themes are always interesting, whether they’re ones I’m very familiar with or ones about which I have only a passing knowledge. Either way, I always learn something from her interviews. Jess really has a natural and organic flair for making her guests feel comfortable, and as a result they open up a lot more than they would with a boring host asking the typical mundane questions they’ve likely been asked a million times before. Very highly recommended for like-minded culture aficionados with a brain!
-
nealcbA+I recently came across Hot Takes + Deep Dives and have to say Jess is phenomenal. Great interviews! She is genuinely interested in those she interviewing. Even people I thought I might not like hearing from or people I don’t know I’ve enjoyed.
