femcoug11Informative, great true crime podcast!I am a true crime junkie and this is one of my favorites. I enjoy the interviews with different types of professionals. I just started listening and I like to start at the beginning so I’m a few years behind. Hopefully this changes in the newer episodes but the timing of the ads is ridiculous. The ads come on in the middle of a sentence! Hopefully this gets fixed in later episodes. Other than that (and the weird typewriter typing sound bite at odd places) I really love this podcast!

Jana Copper CatYou are mistaken!!!I love your podcast. I’ve bought or listened to quite a few books you have recommended. You are one of my favorite podcasts. I personally listen to the Murder Sheet Podcast. It is also a favorite podcast. They covered the Delphi case and trial extensively with great integrity and respect for the victims and the victims families. They, in fact, informed law enforcement that the pictures had been leaked by someone else and they tried to stop it from spreading but were unsuccessful. You should actually have them on your show to talk about this. They are wonderful people.

MerrimackValleyAliGreat podcastThis podcast is one of my favorites. The hosts work so well together and I really enjoy listening to their discussions. They have excellent guests on their show as well, and ask smart, thoughtful questions during the interviews.

OcgirlsueNice addition to true crime podcastsI have a particular dislike of podcasts that make light of the murders. If you feel the same, I highly recommend you give this a listen. The hosts are respectful, but not mechanical sounding. You feel like they care, and with Bill having lost his sister to murder, he knows how important getting the word out to the public is for solving cases. Update: 11/24 this is still such an educated, empathetic pod. Give it a listen.

Catte AdamsJohn Wayne Gary laughing it upListening to the 3 of you yuk it up all thru the author’s description of meeting with Gacy and listening to Gacy’s lies and self delusions was extremely disturbing. So he’s talked to a bunch of serial killers and it’s oh so funny to mock and laugh about their self delusions and narcessiicm is just disgusting to listen to, and it the reason I’ll not follow your show anymore folks. Not one laugh did I share with any of you. So chuckle, and guffaw on. I guess it makes you money. You’re the worst of the worst. There are plenty of family members still alive in these cases. Pathetic way to earn a buck. Catte Adams

Jack 204Good, but …Like the podcast a lot but could live without Olshaker. He lamented the polarization of society but then goes off on a J6 rant and criticizes Trump a couple more times with little to no nexus to the show subject matter. Then he seemed way more concerned that Hinckley shot Brady than he was about Reagan taking one in the chest. That’s fine but don’t pretend to be non partisan. Just comes off as phony. Also, he didn’t seem to know that Brady’s death was officially ruled a homicide albeit an unprosecutable one. Seemed like a huge gap in his knowledge base.

SimkhaLike the Crime Episodes Butnot the interviews. I generally prefer a one-person, narrative form podcast for true crime, but there are times when even banter works for me. This podcast, which I recently discovered, is one of those. However, I don't generally like interviews (there are a couple exceptions, but usually those are political podcasts and a different type of thing altogether). This podcast has sooo many interviews that are overlong, too drawn-out, and, unfortunately, boring. So I have, of course, learned to skip those episodes but there are an awful lot of them here. Also the editing can use some work - a lot of times someone will be in the middle of a sentence and it cuts to commercials and then comes back for a split second and then goes back. I'm still early on in the podcast, so maybe that improves. The other thing that is weird is that this podcast repeats episodes, and I put one on and go, wait. Haven't I heard that already? So when moving episodes to my MP3 player, I have to double-check everything to make sure I haven't heard it already. I initially gave this podcast three stars, but I went back and read some of the butthurt snowflake comments about "liberals" and the hosts' "agenda" (which is to get crimes resolved and talk about crimes), so I'm upping that to 4 stars because I appreciate the perspectives of both hosts. But please, fewer interviews. Most of them are dreadfully dull.

jacqueline, Boston, MAExcellent source of informationBill Thomas delivers an incredible amount of knowledge and information on the Colonial Parkway Murders. The Heartfelt and informative interviews from himself, families and friends hopefully will keep these cases from being put on the back burner from law enforcement. Kristen brings a fresh perspective to the show and they work so well together. Now that some of the Colonial Parkway murders are solved. I truly believe this podcast helped implement the FBIs duty to revitalize this case. I believe with the dedication of Bill and Kristen, the rest of the cases will be solved!

CarrieTeacherKPrivilegeI have had the privilege of knowing Kristen since she was a young girl at the book store I ran- this woman is brilliant- and listening to this informative podcast is exactly what you’d get having a conversation with them!! I LOVE this podcast!
-
Mysteries & True Crime!New fan!!I met the hosts at CrimeCon 2023. So glad to find this podcast!!
-
Lulabelle91Recent discoveryThis is another level of True Crime podcast - low key, informed delivery of old and new crimes. Always respectful of victims, survivors and families as they had a family member and friend who were murdered.
-
Babyb0310New listenerJust found this podcast and I love it. I am binging episodes as quick as I can to catch up. As someone who spent a career in law-enforcement before leaving to stay home with the kids i am pretty picky about my true current podcasts and this one gets my vote.
-
tgygunyfuhyfUnsure if I’ll keep listeningIt’s sketchy that CNN is referenced so often.
-
Coco520Beyond ghoulishLet me start with the fact that usually I enjoy this podcast, however the episode involving Dr. Katherine Ramsland I found to be ghoulish, disrespectful and utterly disgusting. To hear her discuss basically flipping homes that had been the scene of horrendous crimes and pitching shows to networks she sounded like a vulture preying on families’ trauma for her own benefit so shame on Mind over Murder for promoting and giving her a platform for this self a promotion. Certainly with her long career she doesn’t need gimmicks like to remain relevant.
-
Crime Soup PodcastGreat interview with Kevin SullivanI loved hearing the behind-the-scenes stories about Ted Bundy.
-
Love to ResearchCongratulations on getting to season 4I have been listening since day one. Congratulations on season 4. Lets hope this is the year for a solve.
-
VBListenerDo Not Agree With You Not Taking Psychs SeriouslyColonial Parkway Murders are cold cases and any help or insight that is provided should be looked at. I know that there are fraudulent psychs out there but there are some that are legit and should be considered as insight. Shame on you all for not considering the information as legitimate…

sulva6BORING!!!!ONG! First of all the guy takes forever to spit anything out! The slowest moving, most boring conversations ever!!
-
dw-ashevilleA truly ethical podcastToo many true crime podcasts are in it to make money, period. But Mind over Murder is truly interested in solving cold cases. Bill Thomas is the brother of a murder victim whose case is still unsolved. He and Kristin Dilley work very hard to get reputable people on the show and spread awareness of current technology. Their interview with Kristen Mittelman was one of the best interviews ever. The two episodes on identifying the Somerton Man were so informative with the most recent status. If you haven’t given this podcast a try, do so 👍🏻

**Sue27**Great podcast with a huge range of guests and thoughtful analysisThis is such a good listen. It’s the rare combination of a guy of retirement age and a younger woman with differing spheres of experience who treat each other with respect and as equals - no second bananas here. The content is consistently excellent, thoughtfully constructed, and interesting. I especially appreciate the care with which the hosts treat their guests, not all of whom are podcasting professionals. Each guest is treated with respect while being asked intelligent, thoughtful questions, and every interview has been a great episode/couple of episodes. Drawing out people’s experiences and expertise in a compelling way is tricky and they do it every time. The consistently respectful approach the hosts take toward victims and families is no surprise given Bill’s own history, but it’s a rarity in true crime these days. Likewise their careful disclosure of all the sources (I do sense the English teacher in Kristen here!) shows integrity and should be a model for other podcasts. Easy five stars!

PodCommentatorMind Over MurderGreat podcast with serious information combined with thoughtful comments and compassionate investigation.
-
DesirinaFavorite PodcastMind Over Murder has quickly become my favorite podcast. Bill and Kristin have wonderful rapport and are well spoken and thoughtful in all of their discussions. I could listen to them discuss almost any subject and enjoy it! Thank you for your wonderful work 😊
-
VegluvOthramPlease no more Othram episodes. They’re really boring. The guy talks way to fast and says the same thing in every interview on different podcasts.
-
mrsBobNcgcLike the podcast, dislike one hostI love Bill Thomas and would listen to most anything he released…but… I can’t take Kristin Dilley. She makes such an effort to be politically correct (vs just being polite and respectful) that it detract from their storytelling and distracts from what they are trying to communicate.
-
Jana1469New to this podcastI’ve listened to a handful of your podcasts. Very well told stories that are clearly studied before recording. Enjoying the hosts continue on the role they each play. Not sure who to point the finger,!l or fingers but after a case as traumatic and with the carnage it left, I found the repeating advertisement for condoms insincere, cruel and irresponsible. Something that could have been avoided.
-
DPergOne of my favsExcellent podcast. Good content and the hosts are easy to listen to. I really like the format and layout of the podcast. Keep up the great work!!
-
barbie1121GabbyThank you for this episode. You hit the nail on the head when addressing the media attention regarding Gabby’s disappearance/homicide. I am grateful for your ability to cut through all the hype

-
cincisabinExcellent podcast. The hosts are articulate and knowledgeable. Enjoy the guests who are featured. New to series so am listening to past podcasts and enjoying as well.
-
Aselea7I Still Tune InThis is one of the few podcasts I still listen to even when the topic or title of an episode doesn’t catch my interest. I know these two hosts will somehow always pull me in.
-
mysteries58A Special Kind of PodcastAs an avid fan of true crime podcasts, I have to give Mind Over Murder kudos for its caring, warm, and humane approach to these often terrible stories. Kristen and Bill genuinely care not only about the fascinating elements of true crime stories, but their hearts are devoted to justice for victims and families. I am particular touched by their dedication to each Colonial Parkway victim’s memory; theirs is a special kind of podcast in the true crime space. (Perhaps “Mrs. Dilley” will give me an A when I tell her I am also an English teacher!)
-
Reality RangerFantastic PodcastI’m really enjoying this podcast. I appreciate the calm, factual and rational approach the hosts take to the subject matter, especially given how difficult it must be. Don’t miss the it; they’re performing a great service.
-
IsisicianaGreat Podcast! This is a great information source to keep us aware and hopeful. Keep the awareness alive so justice can be served. Your book was also amazing! Michelle Leigh
-
DorbsyExcellent listen!Love these two. One of my new favorite podcasts. I’m enjoying the Colonial Parkway murders deep dive. Is Kristen Dilley single? I want to set her up with my ex-husband! Lol
-
ShSmBeNew listenerI am especially enjoying hearing from family members and experts about the cases covered. The two hosts have an engaging conversational approach.

BschoraWhere is Season 1 Episodes 1 & 2?They aren’t available on the Apple Podcast app. 3 Stars so far. Here’s why... After playing the first two episodes the Ad Ratio comes in at 4%, this is very good (so far)... However! The first 5-Minutes is taken up by introductory content that is repeated in every episode, with a few minutes of drivel... some interesting and informative, some not. The final 14-Minutes(!) is occupied with a whole lot of STUFF. Some outro info, again repeated every episode, some interesting, some not. An overwhelming amount of time was spent worrying about crimes against children and online stalking, and... whew! It’s 2021. We KNOW what needs to be worried about. Maybe we could start advocating for medical procedures that need to be performed on predators — so they don’t have these perverted urges any more? I’m serious. Find a solution and tout that. Season 1 Ep 5. Terrible to sit through an entire episode based on a POORLY recorded audio conversation. Couldn’t do it.
-
BlueBottleGirlToo Much Empty ContentThe host’s voices are spot on and articulate but there’s too much rambling and personal content that doesn’t need to be in there. It actually diluted the details of the crimes. I’m going to keep trying because I like the hosts but I hope they get their groove down.
-
Izzy loves pupsY’allY’all! I’m giving you five stars!
-
HenryNancy400Good listenBill and Kristin have a great rapport. Cannot wait to hear more episodes.
-
SWVrvaSo interesting!Love the deep dives into these cases. Great job!
-
Henry37Lots of mis information makes it hard to keep up any interestStarted listening with high hopes . But stopped after a few episodes because of all the personal political comments of the hosts. Your added liberal PC thoughts are unnecessary and irksome. I don't need your liberal guilt sprinkled in. Is this podcast about the hosts and a political agenda or about victims and their families.?
-
#letsgobuffaloSuch a wonderful tribute to horrible crimes-It is hard to hear about people’s loved ones being brutally murdered, but the research and thoughtfulness that this podcasts presents allows the listener to better understand the crime and the problems encountered throughout the investigation. Keep it up!
-
glamourbykimLive this podcast!Entertaining, full of factual information!
-
Barb McMurderinoLisa Zambetti has restored my faithLoved listening to Lisa talk about casting an actor after “seeing him in a Chekhov play” — as an actor/teacher I often tell my students “ no industry people are coming to your weird Chekhov play downtown. Get yourself into an improv troupe.” Lisa, “real” actors everywhere thank you!!
-
PW from GRI love itSerious, interesting, great guests. Very professional.
-
inHamptonRoadsEpisodes 1 and 2You were probably the first podcasters to cover the Heidi Childs/David Metzler murders. For some reason or another the majority stray away from the case. Good research, too. This got me hooked from the beginning!
-
jimmy16743Stick to the storyTrue crime stories are sad for the victims and families and interesting for those who listen to the podcast. IMO, listeners don’t need the political views of the podcasters.
-
dihart2Please remove the annoying typing soundsI enjoy both hosts however the loud typing sounds are so annoying it puts me right off.
-
MrBigCastleCaptivating and InformativeThis podcast is very well done. Organized. Informative. Keeps my attention for the entirety of each episode.
