DallasChilAre you not entertained (by the B.O. Boys)?!All I can say is “Woowww!” Pat and Clayton knock it out of the metaphorical park on a weekly basis. All hail Scott Mendelson, the tribal chief! Really enjoy all the numbers, predictions, comedic banter, and takes on the movie business.
-
dylanfordaysBox Office Breakdown for the PeoplePat and Clayton provide episodes that predict numbers and expectations before the weekend and episodes that discuss and breakdown the real numbers following the weekend. I follow numerous creators that do the same or similar content, however this show is hands down my favorite due to the life the hosts breath into the information. It may not be for everyone, but I personally love the tangents they improvise regarding audience behavior and film strategy. My favorite example of this is their recurring discussion of which movie will fire up the church buses and haul that audience in by the truckload. Actually solid information, very lighthearted, and exactly what this space needs. I hope these guys really get some attention and a well deserved boost in followers soon. I’m officially a wanna B.O. boy 🫡

TartpopEntertaining and InformativeAs someone who works in the entertainment marketing industry I find the B.O. Boys to be a helpful tool for keeping me informed of box office news while also being very entertaining. Coastal elites are the best podcasters.

Frustrated Fry LoverGonna pass on this one: they stink!I’ve been listening for awhile. Looking for a podcast that is about box office. Predictions and numbers, etc. This podcast isn’t it!! Move on listeners if you want an analysis that doesn’t contain two guys expressing their opinions with idiotic babble. Yup. For anyone concerned with keeping theaters viable, you will hate this pod. Or getting information on a upcoming movie. You will hate this pod. They are mean spirited and actively cheer for bombs. Probably contribute to lower box office if they have any influence. As much as they say they want to be wrong when something bombs, they really don’t. They love it. They promote it. Most recently pat said 9 million for Civil War. Cayton actually said “I love that.” They were totally wrong of course but did their opinion sway listeners? I hope they have NO influence, but who knows. I’m moving on to find people who promote Box Office, not actively hope for bombs. I suggest men move on. These guys don’t represent what I want to be as a man.

A podcast addictJust unfollowedI tried this for a few months because, as a movie lover, I wanted some box office numbers and insights. I got so tired of their redundant innane ramblings. Also very offensive negativity. You can have honest reporting without all the mean spirited hammering of movies and genres they don’t personally like. I have found better podcasts that have wonderful interviews from people in the industry, not other like minded bro’s who continue the babble. There are professional podcasts out there…find them. Goodbye BO Boys.

DoublewidetrailerRepetitive, conservative, wish it was betterThis show got me interested in box office results, but it’s just too annoying and repetitive to use as a source for box office news/commentary. Oddly, hosts and their guests spend a lot of time railing against Disney, so much so that it feels political. If I wanted a Ron DeSantis box office recap I’d rejoin X. Hosts are funny and I wish they would spend more time discussing what they do like than what they don’t. Straight middle aged men screaming at me about Disney - sounds a lot like the “Pixar dads” the hosts like to make fun of.

Michael LindeNew Box Office Icons Have ArrivedThese two guys (pretty sure it’s Clayton and Pat, I’m not a stalker) have created one of the best podcasts of all time. They are now in my weekly B.O. rotation along with Grace Randolph. They deliver the Pixar lashings when needed and aren’t beholden to corporate interests. My only criticism is they didn’t give Godga enough credit for House of Gucci’s box office performance, but nobody’s perfect.

Geno Smith Da GodDelightful Show.Entertaining, informative, and a great level of humor. Great job, fellas.

nnnnnnick1Clayton needs to eat crow and apologize to PixarBeen waiting years for a great BO podcast I’ve always been very interested in this aspect of movies and you guys always deliver! But I’m still waiting for the segment about Elemental’s clutch legendary run that no one saw coming

joshbails56Critical Box Office InformationI was a cinema junkie that was trying to find some data, commentary and predictions on domestic performance of the latest movies. I caught wind of some positive buzz surrounding this podcast so I checked it out and can happily report it delivers. It is really great to get two box office perspectives from these gentlemen at different stages of their life: A seasoned film expert and fellow Gen Xer, Clayton, and the younger more naive Millennial, Pat. Thank you for this important service. Josh from NH

Walker David SeymourSmelt at the Box OfficeFor a raw feed, this is the best podcast out there. Everything you could ever want. Love the analysis and every once a while some movie critiques (huh). Wanna BO boy now and forever
