I used to love the show, but it’s no longer a show. It’s full blown advertising.

16:00 in and we’re on our 4th ad break.

Too many “episodes” per day. I’ve seen as many as 14 in one day in the offseason. Too many adds. Too long winded. Too sensitive (Bryan) to anything close to a critique on him. Too redundant, they say the same thing 1000 times between all the hosts and call it “content”. The sad thing is, the actual analysis is very good. I just can’t listen 3+ hours a day to hear 20 minutes of actual content.

1. This podcast used to be good but as another reviewer said there are too many ads! Every 10 mins or so you have to listen to a minimum of 2 mins to as many as 4 mins of ads! I listen to 5 other ND podcasts and another 12 national podcasts and none of them have as many ads as Irish Breakdown. 2. They do all their shows on YouTube first, but they take several days before they upload their shows as a podcast. Basically trying to force you to watch their YouTube shows. The only exception to this is when the show has an expiration date. Eg It’s news that less people will download after a few days so they upload those YouTube shows as podcasts quickly.

Great show, objective and entertaining. But the ads make it almost un listenable. Goes about 4 minutes if ads, 2 minutes show, 3 more minutes of ads. And the a couple more ads guaranteed after that…

I love IB and appreciate the amount of show you guys do everyday. I don’t think people appreciate how much more you guys have everyday compared to really any podcast where most are doing one show a week. Also love how Bryan, Sean, Vince, Jesse, and Ryan all bring different strengths and insights to their shows!

The number of ads completely ruin the listening experience. And I’ve listened to BD for years

Everyone is great except Jessie. He really is bad. He doesn’t answer question correctly, he’s always arguing with his dad when he’s wrong, giving just an akward vibe about the whole episode. I love IB but I just don’t think Jessie should be on there and for goodness sakes Jessie it’s 85 degrees get your butt up and put in your ac in your home goodness.

This is the go-to channel for Notre Dame Fighting Irish football podcasts. Daily info. Daily analysis. Daily commentary. Daily everything ND football. Plenty of staff perspectives that prevent single-minded analysis.

Spending an entire episode ranting and bashing Kelly? Your hate for him is apparent, and it shows clearly. I don’t even like Kelly, but after this poor rant of an episode, it reminds me why I don’t subscribe to your site. He’s gone, why don’t you move on and talk about ND, not LSU

I love this show and I think y’all are genuine people but the ads are killing me. If I have to hear “Don’t search, match with indeed…” one more time, I might throw my phone out a window. Great content though!👍

Awesome podcast however, wish there was a way to know if Bryan is actually on. Pretty meh minus Bryan.

The IB guys bring a tremendous amount of coverage with great insight. They are clearly connected to the program and recruits and have a good understanding of the game and break things down well. Thanks IB!

Been following ND football deeply for decades , this us by far the best, most insightful on the ND beat. Only one(other than Prister)that really knows player evaluation. Good recruiting coverage also. Some of these other Reviews are so stupid, they’re not worth paying attention to. If you’re a smart football fan that’s interested in learning about ND, this is easily the best

These guys are so convinced they are right about EVERYTHING. One guy was a low level D3 assistant and the other guy was a HS JV coach I think. Now please tell us again how ND should move All American, Nagurski Award winning safety X Watts. back to WR.

Half of every episode is ads and quantity has taken priority over quality. Less episodes would be better, after an episode it’s like what did I actually get out of that

Tons of content so a good time filler though out the day but repetitive. Also not a great listen from a recruiting perspective. BD says every guy is a 4 or 5 star so Georgia must be getting 9 star guys.

As they try to fill more airtime it simply has gone way off track. Repetitive and boring. Time to move on to more crisp and succinct discussion.

Love to listen to this podcast. All the speakers are great. Shaun Davis is the lone one to skip over. Never adds much insight and is too long winded. The rest are phenomenal.

Incredibly informative and insightful. Love the analysis from football minds more educated than my own. At times find myself frustrated by Brian cutting his co-hosts off every. single. time. they open their mouths… Let these guys complete a thought man.

This guy spends half his time pushing far-right conspiracy theories and conservative talking points instead of talking about the team.

ND grad here. There is NEVER an immediate post-game pod - audio or video - where fans (like me) can decompress after a horrible loss like this, or even a win. It’s your JOB to provide fans with your insight and reviews. Why take post-game time off? Because it’s a weekend? C’mon. This OSU loss is DEVASTATING and when will we get to hear what you guys think about the game including ONLY TEN MEN ON THE FIELD FOR THE FINAL TWO PLAYS??? we rely on you to help us make sense of things that don’t make sense. What doesn’t make sense to me is that football pods almost NEVER do an immediate post-game pod. Why is that?? Make sense and I’ll change the rating, because right now I’m mad at the world and you’re just the object my anger. lol 🤦🏻

Love IB. Love IB Nation. Love the guys and their shows. Please recognize, I AM A HUGE FAN! That said, this is a review page so I am offering my honest feedback on the podcast presentation, not the content. HATE THE FEED!!!!!!!!!!!! I am not sure if the decision was made to split an individual show into multiple smaller chunks for the podcast stream to make it easier to listen or to try to inflate stats of listeners or downloads. Either way, it is killing my feed. I follow probably about 10 podcasts regularly using the Apple app. I’m not joking that right now there are exactly 18 shorter IB episodes at the top of my feed published in the last 2 days. I know it’s Ohio State week, and you have a lot of content, but this is ridiculous. It’s not just this week either. 1 typical show is usually split into 3 shorter episodes almost daily. Not only does this make it very difficult to follow my other podcasts, it also makes listening to IB very difficult. The publication order is often out of sequence and I have to start multiple episodes to figure out the correct order. I struggle to always know which different shows are which. I know I can limit downloads using the app, but then I miss shows or parts of shows. Like many, I cannot listen for 3 or more hours daily. So if I don't, and I limit downloads, I miss things when I try to catch up. Heck, there was even a possible incorrect stream in the feed once this past week. Host I have never heard that didn’t introduce himself interviewing another person I didn’t know. Maybe that was bonus content. Maybe it was a mistake. Either way, really hard on a listener. I am BEGGING the guys at IB to adjust their publication strategy and have mercy on this listener. 1 episode per show, clearly labeled and titled.

Great pod cast. I listened all off season. It would be so much better without the phrase in my opinion. It’s all your opinion! That phrase interrupts a great conversation.

I know I know , it’s his Company so he can do whatever he wants. I checked back in and it seems like it got worse in regards to him just rambling on and on. Be interested to see how long he talks vs Ryan in a 3 hour podcast. My guess 2 hours vs 1. There is very good info and analysis but just a good Back and forth discussion.

The analysis is fantastic. I do admit, I am an Irish fan but Bryan Driskell has takes that are backed up by facts. He’s a huge college football fan and is fast to give kudos where it’s due. Great to listen to!!!!

Bryan, as of today Georgia is #1 and ND is #6 in 247 team rankings. ND is 56 points behind Georgia. The distance between ND at #6 and Iowa at #31 is 56 points. The gap in talent not only for ND but for most teams outside of OSU/Bama is larger then people think.

From using the word “ HYPERBOLIC “ every other sentence to gun talk this show has assorted talk now. Lucky Lefty PC reminds me of the movie Fridays with football talk ….. guys stick to Football

Podcast has some descent content but often times takes 90 minutes to provide 5 minutes of worthwhile info/opinion. If you having nothing better to do then I’m sure it’s fine, but many times it’s a whole lot of rambling!!

The Chick-fi-la of ND analysis! Solid foundation in faith, family and then ND. Appreciate the hard work, honesty, and great overall coverage of our beloved Irish!

Periodically I try to give this podcast another chance, hoping Brian D. will finally stop dominating people, stop continuously interrupting and stop taking over every single conversation. I thought when he had on the OG Tim Priester and later his colleague Tim O’Malley he would do whatever was needed to stop those behaviors. It’s beyond disrespectful to beat writers of that caliber to behave that way. Why have any guests on if all you want is to hear your own voice, all the while saying “I really want to hear your opinion on this X” but then completely take over. No you don't want to hear someone else’s opinion. You just don’t. Yikes. Thankfully Sean and Vince as well as Sean and Malik do their own shows so we can actually hear their voices and opinions. I cannot imagine why anyone would choose to be on the air with him.

Phenomenal new segment! I love his enthusiasm!

Shaun and Malik have something really special here on the LL podcast. But I can’t help but wonder why they don’t care about the incessant vibrating from their phones during the show. Would be really helpful if they put their phone(s) on a folded up towel or something to dampen the loud vibration sound that happens dozens of times each episode. Really waters down the quality of their product.

I’ve been an Irish fan since 1985 and these guys have the best insight outside of the great Lou Somogy. Look forward to the daily YouTube live shows and follow the podcast for everything else. Great job by Ryan and The Boys!

I’ve been an ND fan since 1972 and have followed since including reading many different websites over the years and subscribing to the old BGI newspaper. The Irish Breakdown podcast and it’s message board and website give me better information on the team and program than anything else I’ve used. Bryan has built a strong team who are knowledgeable and complement each other. Thanks for the great work Bryan, Ryan, Sean, Shaun and Vince.

I love Irish Breakdown, I listen or watch them every day after school.

In depth knowledge, passionate and yet objective. Great production quality. Expert and detailed knowledge comes from experience playing and coaching so you get a great understanding of the Xs and Os. Also in depth knowledge of recruiting and the coaching. Good job keeping the main thing the main thing and focusing on what they want the show to be and growing.

IB is unrivaled in their ability to get inside intel (on the premium message boards), more or less objectively banter on ND football, their strengths and weaknesses as a program, etc. Listening to IB has given me a broader understanding of ND and CFB as a whole: it’s about the coaches and the players, not merely the players. Now, most of the 1 and 2 star reviews have some validity to them: Bryan does a lot of the talking, has some smugness, talks/interrupts Vince, etc. However, (1) no man is perfect and (2) I’ve seen Bryan grow a lot in each of the aforementioned things just in the year that I’ve listened to the show. There is no perfect show (we live in a post-Genesis 3 world), yet Bryan has put together a great staff with the additions of Ryan, Shaun, Brian, Devin and others that is unrivaled in their ability to breakdown ND football from the players and coaches to the X’s and O’s.

This podcast covers all things ND football: Recruiting, pre-game and post-game analysis, team and coaching staff strengths and weaknesses, etc. and does so in an objective and knowledgeable way while having fun.

I have been listening to this podcast since the Rona days, and after hearing a couple episodes this became my go to for Irish football content. You won’t find a better x’s o’s analysis anywhere, and I have to say I’m impressed at the way this group has grown into the powerhouse platform it has.

Bryan Driscoll is the most knowledgeable, passionate, and hard-working journalist covering Notre Dame football today. Each member of his staff bring something unique and very necessary to the platform. This is definitely my go to platform for Notre Dame football coverage.
