Such a wonderful little gem in the horror podcast arena. Gets the ambiance and cadence of the campfire tales of my childhood. I can’t find one fault in this podcast.

Just got caught up today. I’m really enjoying the storytelling and I look forward to the next seat around the campfire next season.

How come the stowaway and spirit lake are explicit?

Weston Davis is great at what he does, the story writing does a great job at capturing the dreamlike shapes of these encounters, while remaining vague enough the let you form your own terrifying description of them. The consistency of the quality is a pleasant surprise to experience throughout each season. The incorporation of the victims perspective and gaps in memory are a common theme that add to the storytelling in a unique way. The helplessness you will feel when listening intently to these stories in countless scenarios is a testament to Weston’s story telling ability. 5/5

The podcast is very well done and very interesting too! I love the suspense in the show and it’s one of my favorite things to listen to it’s such a good show. I’ve sent episodes to all of my friends, and my family loves it. I’ve been a fan of this podcast for years and it’s a delight. The writing of these stories is playful but has just the right amount of anticipation built in to make it feel like a campfire tale. Always charming, always fun. And, if you’re in the mood to get in the spirit of folklore, always fun to try your hand at telling again to friends around a campfire (or, more likely, spirit stove).

Great podcast, great stories. Can't wait for season 7. Side story, I was hiking up Camels Hump, one of Vermont's tallest mountains and off in the woods I hear Weston Davis unmistakable voice. Turns out it wasn't s disembodied story teller, just someone playing an episode while hiking down.

Every year I start looking for news of a new season of Camp Monsters. The podcast offers great writing and storytelling that draws you in with great mood setting through immersive narration and ambient sounds. The stories are spooky but family friendly which can be hard to find. I listen to episodes on car rides with my 8 year old son and the stories are just as good the second or third time through. I hope the podcast is back for season 7 and beyond.

This podcast is spectacular! The stories are told EXACTLY the way you expect to hear a camp director tell a scary story at summer camp (btw the summer camp series is one of the best). The sound engineering is good enough to give you chills. It’s a great podcast. I had to deduct one star because tbh I just want more more frequently.

I’m only just now discovering this podcast in its 6th season. I’m about ten episodes in and thoroughly enjoying myself. Truly campfire-type tales, written and told quite well. I usually favor ensemble production type podcasts but I love this!

I always look forward to new episodes. Keep it up you guys 🤙🏻

You add a lot of emphasis in your words and it creeped me out (in a goodish way)

It’s possible that I’m not the target market, because It was like listening to a never ending story, repeating words over and over. It’s like a student turned in their D- assignment that’s 12,000 words about watching paint dry. Example: downtown has old buildings and new. lol. The sun bounced off the adobe, and he made sure to tell you twice. It was as if I listened to somebody practice, not somebody who has real writing or story telling ability. I have just reminded myself to not become the person who rambles lol

Always a blast, the sound effects really enhance the story feeling. The narrator has a great voice and really knows had to build of the suspense. Also season 5 episode 1. In the Montana of Apple-atcha…yes!!! Yes!!! He pronounced the name of the mountain range correctly!!!!

I’ve been listening to Camp Monsters since season 2. I have re-listened to each episode at least 3 times and still enjoy the sultry talents of the host, Weston Davis, and his motley crew. I look forward to Autumn for the new seasons but enjoy listening to the show all year round. This is a podcast you do not want to miss.

For the last five years I’ve waited eagerly for new episodes of this podcast to drop every fall. It doesn’t feel like it’s really spooky season without Camp Monsters. Everything about this show makes it one of my favorite parts of my favorite time of year- the writing, the narration, the love shown to some lesser known legends and cryptids, all of it. Please keep making this show forever!
