    conversations well worth listening to
Shade is one of the few shows out there that is critically minded and focused on the structures within which we all live. Love the way Lou steps back to let her guests talk about their art, processes, and motivations behind their work. Listen, subscribe today!

    Beautiful!
It’s incredibly rare to find a podcast like yours that deals with the history and ongoing systemic oppression pertaining to POC. A podcast such as this is such a necessity for our white counterparts to listen, study, and understand EXACTLY what the marginalized is facing. Great show.

    Fascinating & important!
I highly recommend this podcast & agree with a previous reviewer who noted that the podcast introduces / brings to light a “necessary conversation” with each episode. My favorite episode is the interview with curator of the @georgian_diaspora Instagram, Serena Lee. Very well done!

    Excellent
Deeply appreciated this recent episode with Daniel C. Blight. Lou asks questions that open a space for her guests to really get to the heart of the matter. Her voice is very easy to listen to, and her interviewing style is intelligent and thoughtful and real, without being pretentious. Honestly love it.

    A necessary conversation
With all of the complexities surrounding race and identity present today and from the past, it is crucial to have a platform where these topics can be discussed openly. Shade Podcast approaches this from a variety and diverse group of topics and guests, reminding us that as people of color, we all have unique experiences within a shared reality or shared commonalities.
