Don’t buy electric cars

I really want to like this show. Ashton, Ben, and Peter seem like nice people who are pretty good hosts. But the jokes, week in and week out, are so redundant. Every week they pretend like “What We Playin’” is a brand new thing (or once in a while they just can’t pronounce it). The fake “video game adjacent” sponsors are not funny, and I don’t know why they bother to pretend they’re real because the bit is broadcast a mile away. I’m sick of hearing about Al Gore’s rhythms, and if they say the word “plops” again to explain an absence, I might just unfollow. They’re also very focused on AAA adventure games on PS and don’t get into the variety of games that are out there today. I think this team needs some actual comedy writers to get to the next level, because right now a show that was mediocre on a good day is going stale as a cake in the bin.

Some shows are great, some are terrible. Ha become much more uneven over last 6-9 months.

A good example of a podcast where the hosts take the subject matter seriously enough without taking themselves too seriously in the process. By the end of every episode I’ve laughed out loud at least once and nodded along with a new take on some broader trend in gaming that I hadn’t considered before.

Peter Austin and Ben Potter bring their unique take to gaming in their weekly podcast. Their blend of reasoned analysis and off-the-wall humor keeps me on my toes.

Hands down the best quality this podcast has to offer is how much fun it sounds like it would be to hangout with these two. As a person who has interest in video games but no longer immersed in what is happening in the video game world I would have no other liaisons from 2019 onward. Ben and Peter’s hard work shows through the quality of the content that is showcased; I highly recommend the Triple Jump Youtube channel and if you haven’t dug deep just yet but can’t get enough- it’s Vidiots time baby. Wooooo!!! Hallelujah

I’m so happy to hear ben doing anything video game related and much like Psruk ben and Peter have a great dynamic. Short but potent podcasts with great Analysis and review of the current and classic world of all things video games

I admit I end up "listening" to the podcast when it's posted on youtube, but I figured a review here would do the boys some good. Ben and Pete-Pete are the two most effortlessly funny people on the planet. Well, top 10 anyway. The point is, they're great, their perspectives are interesting, and their discussions go...pretty much always where you least expect them to go. And it's glorious. Give them a listen.
