Em's personality is so wonderful that she'll hook you right in. The depth that she goes into with discussing trivia and other information is great and you can really tell she always puts the work in. The random guest hosting appearances by the cat always make me laugh as well! One of my favorite movie shows since hearing her on Movie Reviews in 20 Qs. Keep up the great work Em.

New favorite film podcast

I've been a fan of film podcast for a short while now and stumbled across Verbal Diorama a week or so ago and have been burning through several episodes a day. Very rarely does a primarily solo podcast hook me, it's hard to carry a conversation with yourself for an hour but Em excels at this. She is so sweet, and sounds like the type of person you've been friends with since grade school. I'll be a fan as long as you keep putting out content!

Discovered this gem of a show after Em reached out on Twitter about our parallel fondness for Studio Ghibli films. Got hooked after listening to her in-depth take on Princess Mononoke. She’s eloquent, well studied, and has by far one of THE BEST intro songs ever. Will be back to binge her take on some favorites, and believe you will too! Subscriber for life.

There are SO many movie podcasts out there, but this one is so well-produced and researched that it’s well-worth your attention. You can tell Em puts in so much care and effort into each episode. A Verbal Delight

Em does some of the best and most interesting research in preparation for her episodes. Any time I talk to someone about one of the movies she watches we always mention the things we had no idea about until we heard it on this podcast. Her joy for cinema is clear and the films she chooses are wonderful as they are either a nostalgia trip or a forgotten gem (sometimes both). I can’t recommend this show enough. Stop reading this, and go listen to her.

A lot of fun and very charming

Em is a talented host who has great control of her show and talks about her passion very eloquently. Some episodes are very brief and easy to consume in chunks, while others are more cinematic in length if you want a more thorough experience. She is very versatile like that! Listen in!

Em casts light on some of my favorite forgotten gems (Pleasantville, anyone??) or pulls out surprising and lesser-known insights about beloved classics. She's a super engaging host, knowledgeable, and funny--I throw these episodes on especially when I need cheering up:) But there's no shortage of intellectual stimulation either; best of all possible worlds. An Awesome Fun Show

I love this show so much. Em dives deep into the material and obviously knows her stuff. She gives insightful and fun observations in very short episodes. This makes it easier to binge this podcast, which I suggest you do right now. Listening to her episodes makes me want to go see a movie with her, as long as we can discuss it at length, later.

Has quickly become a favorite

This show has jumped to the top of my play list. Em is smart and fun, and she breaks down the films she covers in a same smart and fun way. Very engaging with her listeners and social media followers and does a wonderful job of including them and their thoughts into the show. Not many single host shows can hold my attention for more than few episodes, but Em keeps me tuning in.
