    Join the love nest!
This is my #1 go to podcast every week. Brad and Lisa not only do some of the best interviews in the comics community but they share their love of comics and themselves. My favorite thing about the show is that they talk about the guest and their work before the interview and do a summary afterwards. You also get to know them personally that really makes this podcast stand out from the rest. This show will truly warm your heart.

    Title…
Really enjoying this comics podcast, it has a great theme song! I also like that it covers things besides big 2 hero books, and has interviews with independent creators. It’s turned me on to several books I don’t know if I would have checked out otherwise.

    I adore them
Brad and Lisa are incredible people who I adore and will always be there for if they need me, their podcast is amazing and they’re amazing. Love y’all!

    So much fun!
Love this podcast, really enjoy Brad and Lisa’s banter! The perfect companion to everything comic book related.

    Absolute cringe
The interviews are well prepared and incredibly informative. But I can’t get past the hosts CONSTANTLY referring to themselves in third person. Nor can I get over how over done their “radio voice” is. Just be yourself. You do incredible work. Great research. Interesting interviews. Just keep doing that and stop being cringe. You could have the best comic book show if you’d stop the fake “radio voice” and the incessant third person narratives. It’s so over produced that it distracts from everything else. I’m not trying to hate, but it’s become unbearable at this point.

    Simply the Best
I have been listening to this podcast for quite some time and it is one of the best comic creator interview podcasts around. Brad and Lisa are so smart and insightful and bring out great answers from their guests. I also met them at a con and they are just as lovely in person.

    A True Gift
You'd think the concept of analyzing romances among comic book characters would be an easy podcast to make, but I don't think anyone other than Brad and Lisa could have pulled it off. They may seek guidance from love experts and say they're only experts at loving each other, but they are true love experts. They complement each other so well, and they are so positive and enthusiastic. From their analyses to their Creator Corner interviews, Brad and Lisa have an incredible dynamic.

    Amazing Podcast!!!
These guys (alright, guy and gal) are one of the best podcasts around. If you are a nerd and/or you have someone who’s a nerd, this is your podcast. Hands down.

    Best comic book podcast!
One of my single favorite comic book podcasts, Brad and Lisa do some of the very best interviews around. They also have extremely thoughtful insights on all of the books they discuss. If you like comic books, this podcast is a must follow!

    Knowledgeable and Authentic
I met these guys at a panel yesterday at Awesome Con. They were genuinely nice people. I checked out 3 of the podcasts today and I enjoyed every second of it. You know they are the real deal as soon as you hear the theme and everything they discuss. You have to check them out!

    Secrets of the Ooze
This comic book podcast oozes charm, authenticity, sincerity, and geekery. And it might even make you a better relationship partner!

    Top shelf
One of the most polished, professional, and obviously hard working comic book (or any kind of!) podcasts you will find. They have such a natural knack for what they do!

I love how open this show is about the love of all things “nerd”. As a closet nerd, I needed this. Awesome!

Best pod I have discovered in YEARS
These two are amazing. Absolute relationship goals with their shared vulnerability and can-do attitudes towards life and relationships. Discovered them in 2022 and immediately began binging the whole catalogue. Whether learning about a new comic story I had never heard and will never read, listening to a deeper take on characters I already know, or being introduced to something I decide I have to read for myself, this show always brings it. I have already regularly applied some of the “self help” concepts to my life, added both comics and non-fictions to my reading list, and shared parts of episodes to spark great conversations with my partner. I love their perspective, there caution toward the “science” of some experts and their detailed knowledge for all things nerd. Cannot recommend enough.

Couples Therapy for Comic Book Characters
The basic premise of the podcast, analyzing relationships in comic books through relationship theories and texts, is a lot of fun. But my favorite episodes are their spotlights on creators. The Gullicksons are a nice couple who invite you into your virtual home to talk comics.

Great and fun to listen to
I love following your twitter feed because you looked like you have so much fun together that I had to listen to your podcast! I enjoyed listening to you talking with each other and the excitement over all things comics!!!

The only comics podcast for me!
Brad and Lisa are the only comics couple I trust with my family. Love their in depth treatments with series and characters. Especially love their creator interviews. Can’t wait to hear about everything coming out of SDCC22. Especially since my son will be telling me everything that Brad got to do.

    Love these guys!!!
A must listen and great comic book conversation from a couples perspective! Now if I can only get my wife to start listening and reading I’ll be all set!

Great show even for non comics readers!
I’m not a big comic book fan (my husband is) but I still love this podcast because of the relationship experts/ relationship advice from Brad and Lisa. The balance you both have struck is great and I always look forward to listening to the new couples session episodes!

The Joys of Romance and Comic Books In Your Ear
This is likely one of the most unique, and *definitely* one of the most fun comic book podcasts on the market! Brad and Lisa, one of the most adorable couples on the planet, use various self help books to comprehend comic books' most famous romances! And they do an incredible job! Their episodes on Swamp Thing and Abby Arcane, and Angela and Sera in particular are my favorite! The two know their comics and romance, and are extraordinarily funny! I love this podcast with all my heart.

    Great Podcast!
Enjoy listening to both Brad and Lisa!
  • Tune for Wind God
    Essential listening
Lisa and Brad’s show is essential listening for comic book fans. Their relationship-themed episodes offer unique insights into stories and characters you thought you already understood, while their interview episodes feature thoughtful questions that get their subjects talking. And Brad and Lisa let their subjects talk, which is refreshing. Every episode strikes a nice balance between fan enthusiasm and critical distance. “But where to start? There are so many episodes.” I’m glad you asked: Read vol. 1 of Saga by Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Stapes and then listen to episode #5.

THE comparative literary analysis comic podcast
Whether you are a comics veteran or absolutely new to comics, this is the most accessible and informative show out there. Start at the beginning to grow your experience along with Lisa. Their approach, of reading a curated sampling of each couple over time and using relationship advice and self-help concepts to focus their discussion, informs new readers on character background and gives profound insight into the characters for everyone. Their love language discussion of Dark Phoenix Saga is now absolute canon for me. If you're worried about not being able to follow if you haven't read the books, don't. They explain the self-help concepts and the story contexts wonderfully. You don't have to read the comics at all (although you'll want to after they describe them). You'll come away with either a fascinating insight into (both the history and psyches of) characters you know from the movies, or a bite size experience of new characters. Also, if you think you could benefit from some self-help ideas but don't like reading self-help books, the discussions contextualize those wonderfully as well. Give them a listen. They're truly the best.

    Not Just For Couples
There are a lot of “comic book podcasts” out there, but Lisa and Brad bring something unique to the table. Their primary episodes take a fictional comic book couple and look at them from the perspective of a number of relationship self-help books. From Sue Storm and Reed Richards (while reading, The Four Tendancies), to Harley & Poison Ivy (set against, Ask a Queer Chick), all the way to Thanos and Death (viewed from the perspective of the book, Daring Greatly). Any and all comic book couples are up for detailed discussion and analysis. They also share their day to day experiences as a comic book loving nerdy couple. Some of these topics include comic book conventions, Usagi Yojimbo fandom, The Monkees (OK that one’s not exactly comic book related unless you count Lisa’s collection of The Monkees comics), as well as MCU reviews, and Brad’s random comic collectibles. They also frequently have interviews with a vast range of creators. They are currently doing a Patreon exclusive journey through Gaiman’s Sandman, one issue a week. I highly recommend them for a unique perspective on comics.

Brad and Lisa are the perfect combination of knowledge, passion, and personality when it comes to chatting about comics in their unique format. Highly recommended, always enjoyed!

Informative Comics Podcast, with a Twist
A lot of comics podcasts will go through individual issues and discuss characters and plot. But Brad and Lisa take it a step further. Through the lens of counseling books, they discuss the relationships of the characters. They even end with what we can learn from Ollie and Dinah or Sue and Reed. The hosts are funny and informative, and I am thrilled to have discovered this show. (Comixology is also thrilled I discovered the show. My wallet is not, though. LOL)

Entertaining and interesting start to finish
I loved listening to the Infinity Gauntlet episode and it was so interesting to think about Thanos + Death in a whole new light. Brad and Lisa's energy is super fun, and it's great how they are vulnerable and introspective about their relationship. I don't know if I can think of any podcasts that pull off their advertised premise better: comic books + relationship counseling = this podcast in a nutshell. Give it a try!

Def adding this show to my rotation! -The Geeks

A Fresh Wholesome Look on Comics
Brad and Lisa have definitely found their stride with the Comic Book Couples Counseling Podcast. They have heartwarming chemistry together as a married couple, and as such, they offer a unique and knowledgeable perspective on these comic book characters and their relationships. They have chosen incredibly fun and niche topic to base their podcast on, and their love for the Lord has us begging for more. Bravo and keep up the good work! :)

    A truly original idea
This podcast is an impressively unique take on comic book fandom. Instead of simply discussing the storylines or characters, the hosts discuss the relationships between the characters in a fun and exciting way. I highly recommend you listen.

    Gold Standard for Comics Podcast
Incredibly insightful and entertaining podcast with a wholly refreshing premise for analyzing comics. I often have a hard time sticking with shows on comics because so many tend to either bog down with keeping up on the latest releases or the tone gets way too cynical. Brad and Lisa offer compelling perspectives with plenty of passion and love for the medium with a geeky zeal that is wholly infectious. Not only have I been left with some interesting ideas to consider, but I feel all the more inspired to dig out the long boxes and get to rereading some old favorites.

    My new favorite podcast!
Holy powerful and poetic podcast, Batman! Brad and Lisa are two of the most welcoming podcast hosts in the game right now. Their insight into not just comics, but mental and emotional well-being are top-notch. I started at the beginning w/ their Scott and Jean series (my fave!) and haven't stopped listening since! The conversations are engaging and fun, and bring a new dimension to these characters we all know and love. Plus, any podcast that can get me to cry (Dawn&Nora finale, YOU KNOW THE ONE) is an instant favorite for me and I look forward to each new episode. Subscribe and get to listening - I promise you won't regret it. PTOW!

An inventive and inviting Comic Book Podcast
In a sea of comic book review shows, the comic book couples counseling podcast stands out. The idea of pairing self help/ psychology books with comics is inspired and both hosts are able to bring deep insights to the show right along side incredibly charming and funny moments. I find myself learning new things about the characters I love and myself with every episode. Give it a listen!

    5 Stars Are Not Enough
This is my favorite podcast. Every episode is pure pleasure for the ears, brain, and soul as Brad and Lisa, two of the nicest people you will ever meet, share their love of comics and, well, love in down-to-earth and hilarious discussions about different relationships in the four color realm. Between their normal episodes, creator corners, and comically reel episodes, you’ll fall in love with this show. You’ll also gain a deeper love and appreciation for the comics medium and all it has to offer. You may even get insights into your own real-world relationships, which is also nice. Even their Patreon is an amazing value with bonus episodes and regular fun and engaging discussions. Simply put, 5 stars is not enough for these two loveable goofs and their awesome show.

Is There Something Higher Than 5 Stars?
By far one of my favorite podcasts - Brad and Lisa’s banter and interplay makes them an incredibly entertaining duo, and you can tell they have fun with the show, and have fun with each other. The concept of the show is very unique, covering comics from an avenue that nobody else is. Listening to the show, you feel like you’re their friend - to the degree that they actually became my friends (thanks to the magic of Slack). A must-listen show, and one of the best Patreon bonus content subscriptions around. Highest possible recommendation! (Does that fill your love tank, guys?)

    So Much Fun
This podcast is a much fun to listen to. The hosts are so funny and incredibly natural on the air. You feel like you know them. It’s conversational without being informal. I am only a casual comic reader but that doesn’t matter with these two. You don’t have to be up to speed on their topics to enjoy.
