I found this podcast while searching for podcasts about Cancun for an upcoming trip in November and it has quickly become one my new favorites! I listen to it on my way to work and picture I’m actually driving to the airport! I would love to hear an episode about top adult-only (party) resorts in Cancun. I hope to book with you guys in the future!

I stumbled upon Janet and George’s travel site around 3 years ago. My wife and I quickly became loyal/consistent listeners. After several months of listening to George and Janet’s fun, informative, and entertaining podcast I reached out to Janet in June of 2023 to book a trip for my wife and I. We never reached a decision, and then several months later have finally booked our 25th Wedding Anniversary with Penyak travel. This was a last minute booking, and we’re so excited to travel to Secrets Akumal. Janet has been tremendous. She’s responsive, patient, detailed, and knowledgeable. Thanks Janet for all the help! My husband and I booked our honeymoon with Penyak travel. We went to Saint Lucia and it was great! We had the best time and enjoy listening to their input on other resorts. The way they describe everything makes you feel like you’re on vacation yourself, so I really look forward to their episodes. Janet is very knowledgeable and George always keeps the show fun. They have such great banter. Penyak Travel also has a YouTube channel which I highly recommend subscribing to! They provide excellent overviews of different room categories and resort walk throughs, so you can get an even better idea of what the resort would be like prior to booking. I initially found George and Janet through YouTube as I was researching resorts for our 20th anniversary in 2023. It wasn’t until late 2023 that I found the podcast. I must say, they do an excellent job at covering all aspects of the resorts that they visit and review. If you’re looking for a fun and informative travel podcast, definitely give them a listen and follow them on social media as well.

I have been listening to this podcast for a couple years! I look forward to every episode. George and Janet are very knowledgeable about the travel they recommend! I found Know Before You Go during Covid when I was missing travel and needed to dream of getting away again. I listened to quite a few travel podcasts before finally finding this gem! I listened to all the episodes as research for where to book our honeymoon once travel resumed. We wanted to best swim up bar and Janet and George helped us find it! Since booking our honeymoon with them we have traveled a second time and both experiences were absolutely fantastic! From date changes, to narrowing down our next dream spot, and all other helpful travel tips in between, we are so thankful for their involvement. Cant wait for our next journey with Janet and George to guide us!

These two make me want to gooooo!!! They have an excitement about each resort or place they review that really helps to paint an accurate picture of everything from rooms to views to entertainment to excursions and even travel to and from the airport. LOVE the pod and YouTube! This is how I discovered Penyak travel, and I booked our trip after listening to many of their podcasts. We chose a resort based on their experience and fun banter. My husband and I have similar travel styles to Janet and George, so I love listening to their opinions and feedback. I appreciate how honest and realistic they are. Anytime I’m having a rough time at work or just a stressful day I turn on an episode and it helps me relax. Janet and George you make me want to be a travel agent and help others travel too! You rock! BONUS - Can’t recommend Janet and team enough! She booked a trip to Secrets Moxche for my husband and I earlier this year. It was BY FAR our favorite vacation we’ve taken! Booking was so simple and easy, she answered all my questions, provided so much useful information up front so we felt prepared. She was easy to get ahold of if I had any questions or needed to discuss anything. We’ve used other local travel agents before (local to us) and will always use and recommend penyak moving forward.

I’ve been listening to these guys for over two years but I’m embarrassed to say I could never figure out how to leave a review (insert cry laugh emoji cause I’m not ashamed to be an elder millennial). I love these guys!!! Great podcast with excellent banter, very charming hosts and good insight into the locations they discuss. I love that they stay on topic and also get lost sometimes. It’s never too structured, but janet still manages to keep George on task so they can hit every topic. I’m at a stage in my life where we don’t yet use a TA, but we can’t WAIT to work with Janet one day! PS: I know this isn’t a radio DJ call in situation, but if you ever take requests: I’m still hoping for a “best resorts for group trips” episode before some big milestone bdays in the coming years *fingers crossed*

I love the content, but I find it incredibly annoying that Janet is constantly interrupting George and talking over him and correcting him.

Janet and George do a great job of explaining the pros and cons of different properties without adding bias to the conversation. When they do give personal opinions, they explain them so it’s easy to understand how it relates to your own preferences. We’re seasoned Sandals travelers but will 100% be working with them in the future when we explore other resorts in Mexico or the DR.

We are regular mexico all inclusive travelers. Celebrating our 20th anniversary this summer, so in researching came across the podcast and YouTube videos! So helpful, I’ve listened to most of them in a few days! Appreciate you guys!

Stumbled upon this podcast this week, looking for travel information and opinions I could trust for an upcoming trip, and this one was great! Both hosts offer their individual perspective on a location or property they are visiting. In a world full of travel vloggers, websites and books, their content is some of the fairest and best! I especially enjoy it when the host disagree, like on the MSC episode! Thanks for everything you do!

I’ve been following their YouTube channel for the last year or so and just started listening to podcast- wow! I’m enjoying it so much. It’s fun to discuss what I learn with my husband as we dream up our next trip.

Janet and George make, hands down, the best podcast for all-inclusive resorts that I have found. They are incredibly knowledgeable, and incredibly fun to listen to. Based on their recommendation, my wife and I are headed to Atelier in January for our first all-inclusive experience, and we cannot wait! (We’ve got two kids under five, and seriously, we love them, but this vacation can’t come quickly enough.). Also, I was skeptical of the Guess The Instagram Followers at first, but it has grown on me.

I have listened off and on when planning vacations. Recently I wanted to plan a last minute trip to Cancun and I reached out to Janet to get help with deciding between 2 resorts. She gave me her honest opinion and I then offered to help me book my trip. We had less then 3 weeks before we were planning to go and even tho I usually do my own booking I was like GO FOR IT! It was one of the best decisions I’ve made. She made it so easy and seamless and even helped me move my flight on our departure day so we could get home a little sooner. We’re going back to Sandals La Toc for our 10 year wedding anniversary, and was looking for a Podcast that talked about this particular resort so we could see if much had changed and if there was anything new we needed to know about. Came across this one as they had just been there, and they did an absoulutelly fantastic job of covering all the ins and outs of the resort. Some of it we obviously knew/remembered, but there was a good amount we had either forgotten about or just didn’t know. Furthermore, I thought of something they didn’t cover and I reached out to them, and even though we’re not a client, they quickly responded answering my question. Will definitely be using them the next time we go!

I found Janet and George and got addicted to their Sandals YT videos. Now I started listening to their podcast and really enjoy them while I am working. I feel like I could hang out on the resorts with them and have a great time. Keep up the great work, it is so obvious that you two have a passion for travel and for each other. I recommend them 100% I have been looking on my own for a great deal for My wife and I’s 10th anniversary coming up. They beat any deal I could find by leaps and bounds!! These two spewed out American stereotypes and didn’t spend their time going to the cultural and historic sights of Amsterdam. Most of the podcast was spent talking about only the touristy area of the Red Light District. As someone who travels a lot, look elsewhere for a travel podcast if you want authentic travel advice.

We don’t travel much so I LOVE how informative and honest this podcast is. Even for just long boring drives it keeps me entertained. Most recently we started brainstorming an anniversary trip and I had no idea where to begin. Not only did this show give us immense amounts of guidance, but they quickly responded to our info request and got us set up with the perfect trip! I would love to see them do a podcast for people like us that don’t travel much and want to know tips and tricks for traveling smart, safe, and having the best time (airport and flight tips, what to pack, what not to bring, 2023 travel, etc).

Love this podcast and look forward to each new episode. Since it was recently discussed on a show, I will throw in my two cents on George’s Tangents- I mainly enjoy them- usually fun side notes- but I have a feeling I’m doing the finger wheel with Janet at about the same times, hahaha! That said- sometimes I do feel Janet gets interrupted or talked over- I find myself wishing she’d been able to elaborate and finish her thoughts. This is better in recent episodes and perhaps something being considered. However, I must add- Janet is way wrong about the whole Chik-Fil-A vs Taco Bell debate 🤣 Keep the great content coming!
