A satisfactory show with interesting hosts
Being a fan of Nero Wolfe . That started when I discovered the old time radio show . I later read the books the first and one I’ve read the most being some buried Cesar. The mother hunt being another favorite. Also I’d recommend the Nero Wolfe novel not written by Rex stout Archie goes home as this book does a wonder job letting know about Archie’s family and home life before he met Nero . Great show wonder full host fun and entertaining. Would recommend.

    Poor show prep
I wanted to enjoy this. Their show prep, if any , is poor. Lots of ‘I forget the name’, and sloppy story synopses. Saying Nero this and Nero that is distracting. Fail to appreciate the bonding of the armchair detective and the hard boiled gumshoe genres. Disappointing.

    Like the Wolfe
It really enjoy listening to these casual podcasts. The host has a newbie’s appreciation and sense of wonder with the books, and his guests/cohosts add a more experienced perspective on the books. Thanks for providing this great podcast.

    Lots of fun
I’ve been a been a Nero Wolfe fan for over 40 years and own every book but Corsage. This has is a fun podcast to revisit all those great stories. When they get through with the Stout books, I hope they move onto the Goldsborough books.

    Settling into the Brownstone
After a couple of uneven episodes early on, Like A Wolfe has found its stride and the hosts are doing a great job reviewing and discussing the Nero Wolfe stories in - mostly - chronological order. It’s interesting to listen to a Wolfe fan and a person new to the books discovering the stories together - there are many things that long-time readers don’t notice anymore since we are overly familiar with Wolfe and Archie. This new perspective makes me want to go back and read them all over again!

Its about time someone did a Nero Wolfe podcast!
This gets four stars based on the subject matter alone: one of the greatest American mystery series of the twentieth century. Each episode consists of a discussion of each of Rex Stout's Nero Wolfe novels in publication order. That will take a while. The hosts are engaging and have a good time going over the stories. I recommend this podcast for anyone interested in classic mysteries.I'll be listening until they do "A Family Affair".
