A few years ago I left an unnecessarily mean spirited negative review. Tim has mentioned it on this show or 2.0 at least twice and it’s time I corrected a wrong. If I’m doing this correctly, this updated review should override and replace that review. I do prefer the gambling content more than the sports betting content but that’s just my personal preference. And Tim is apparently good at soccer betting so he has a profitable niche. It is an entertaining show and well-worth listening to if you’re into gambling and casinos. Tim clearly puts in a lot of effort. I’ve adjusted the rating to 4 stars (I have to dock 1 star because the show really could use a regular second host again and the frequency of posting on this feed has fallen way off the past year). But it is a good show and I hope he gets back to a regular 2x month cadence.

If anybody can remember the Washington Bullets in the early 90s, they sucked. Their marketing strategy was “come see the other stars of the NBA”. Tim has adopted this same philosophy with his long history of interviewing more creative podcasters that actually have successful gambling podcasts.

Tim always provides great informational content with a fun twist. He always books interesting guests and I look forward to every episode … oh yea, don’t forget to tip your dealers!

The Bettor Life has great content covering casino and sports gambling as well as other recreational gambler topics. Tim Lawson is a down to earth host and content creator who is easy to relate to for the normal middle class gambler.

Tim does a good job of trying to hit on (pun intended) a wide variety of gambling interests…sports betting, Craps, AC, Vegas. Not just focused on one specific thing. Well worth the listen

You might want to consider Jack for your new bettor half, as your old bettor half was a low life. You two had an excellent rapport!

Please have Scott Stratten on every week. Such a entertaining guy with great stories.

I’ve been around since before episode 30 and am glad to see the show continue past episode 200.

The host enjoys gambling and talking about it. His thoughtful presentation makes listening very enjoyable.

I’ve had the great privilege to get to know Tim over the 6+ years that he’s been doing this fantastic podcast. I highly recommend it for folks who enjoy gambling. What’s great about Tim’s podcast, among so many reasons, is the fact that it’s not specifically a Vegas related podcast. It is a podcast for gamblers that has a wonderful dose of Las Vegas included as a part of it! This is an absolute must listen to podcast!

I first found Tim thanks to Gill Alexander’s Beating the Book podcast over a decade ago. A great guy and a great listen. I can’t tell how many hours I’ve listened on long drives between my offices and how he has made those drives more enjoyable and easier to handle. I appreciate the information he shares and the fun I have listening.

Love this show! It’s always at the top of my rotation when it comes out. Tim has a great personality and his knowledge of many aspects of gambling (casino games, sports betting, and even rewards programs) really comes through. Audience involvement is great and he makes it a point to mention when he will be at various casinos to encourage meetings among members of the recreational gambling community.

Bettor Life is an interview based podcast about recreational gambling. Sports betting (especially soccer) is the most common topic, but also the topics of comps and slots come up often.

Tim does a great job of picking a wide range of guests, that cover every corner of the gambling space. His conversations with Eric are still the best ones imo!

Hardest working host in the podcast world Tim clearly loves the podcast and being a part of the recreational gambling community He brings on guests that the average person probably never heard of but invariably they have an interesting story to tell

Tim’s audio is never top tier, but I’m a snob about that sort of thing. Theme song/transition music isn’t good and Tim says “umm” about 200times an episode (actually probably more, not hyperbole). When interviewing he leads his subjects on and provides almost multiple choice like answers to them in the question.

I used to think gambling was a game of chance or luck. Thanks to this podcast I am completely fascinated with the strategy behind it. This is not only entertaining, but full of actionable tips and advice I have brought to my own investing strategy and more. Thank you for the valuable inspiration and knowledge!

Don’t waste your time listening to this Chuckle head. There are so many bettor life choices than consuming this grade school content.

Timothy does paint a real pciture of the pros and cons of gambling and gives realistic tips to help you enjoy the games with and edge.
