Thoroughly enjoyed the interview with Senator Chris Murphy. One of my favs. It was refreshing to hear Murphy’s brutal honesty about how the dem party has gotten too comfortable with the status quo, and was open to the idea that it’s not a messaging problem, but a doing problem. Dem’s can do more as a cohesive unit to bring about big (not incremental) change, but time and time again fail to meet the moment for whatever reason. Keep interviewing these guys, Jon, and holding their feet to the fire. This was the most honest look in the mirror I have seen from the party. I too was doing the praise hands when he was getting to the crux of the problems in the party. Well done!

So….you shouldn’t categorize women drinking and celebrating St. Pat’s as stupid sluts and men doing the same as “commanding respect for their ancestors”. Shame on you.

Do nothing lazy people, oddly attracted their “enemies” . They seem like they are physically attracted to those that hate them. Which makes sense if the point is confusion an turmoil.

…then I’ll support it. This country has devolved so much in the past ten years but the MAGAts just cannot get enough winning. Still waiting for it to start, but they’re sure it will benefit them mightily. And if you believe that, then I have a flying car to sell you. It works just as well as a Tesla’s FSD mode. Give me a break.

Can‘t imgine life without this show right now.

Great to have an audio version of the show. Mix of political and cultural commentary and comedy. I wasn’t sure TDS would work without John or Trevor but it does!

I’m tired of hearing lies that are turned into the truth and they just tell the truth and the facts which is very refreshing and I pray we survive this presidency .

Im so glad to have news like this in my life so I’m not constantly depressed about the state of the world. It’s some of the best political comedy I’ve ever heard. Truly a genius piece of media.

Stop flooding all my other podcasts with ads for this garbage. I WILL NEVER LISTEN TO JOHN STEWART’S NONSENSE.

It would be delusional for me to expect that same uplifting feeling I had watching TDS during, let’s say, the GWB admin. A show at the top of its game at the time. I understand trying to stay relevant but the poor writing and trite sarcastic and smug form of comedy just isn’t working for me. Perhaps I’ve just grown out of it. But I DO know good writing and performance when I see it…and it’s sadly no longer at TDS.

I love this show so much… I am so glad that Jon Stuart returned, and I also especially love Ronny chang. I always love the guests. I love how the hosts are just a little mean spirited, but in a fun way. Constantly makes me laugh so hard I cry. 5 stars!!!

Everyone is funny on this show except for Ronny Chieng. Unlistenable! NOT funny. Plz keep him as a reporter but NOT as a host.

I love JS but those ads are really jarring right wing-sounding alarmist scaremongering that I can’t imagine the folks at The Daily Show being on board with. I couldn’t tell you what is on the website as it’s being blocked by my work Wi-Fi. I know everyone needs ad revenue but this ain’t it.

I wish I could only listen to new content. They repackage old content as new “recap” episodes and don’t distinguish between the 2. You’re halfway through when you realize you’ve already heard it!

The ads. The amount of ad breaks, length of the breaks and how they are louder than the podcast and start with really awful noises to get attention. Can’t listen anymore. Also, angry old white guy making it about himself- thought we collectively decided we were moving forward. All I hear is screaming ranting. I’m not the audience clearly. Maybe Jon and Bill Maher can do a podcast instead.

I really enjoy Jon and his talented crew, but I’d like to see a more balanced approach to their punditry. It feels like they use humor as a veil for typical DNC talking points. I really respected Jon when he challenged the idea that Covid came from a lab, and was hoping for more balanced skepticism for narratives fed to us not just from the unhinged right, but also the corporatist left. For example, the recent episode featuring Barbara McQuade dives into misinformation vs disinformation, which is a fascinating topic. Unfortunately Michael Kosta doesn’t challenge her when she posits that the right is the source of all dis/misinformation. Yes, the right pushes election stealing narratives and many Russian talking points, but the left gives political shelter to antisemites on elite campuses, and BLM has posted support for October 7th on Instagram. The Biden administration strong armed Facebook from sharing legitimate, Stanford studies on the efficacy of shutdowns. The Biden administration lied about the President’s fitness for a very long time—which to Jon’s credit he challenged. But The Daily Show is not the Onion, and has a responsibility to be more than pundits for the left.

The new format of rotating hosts rings, more diversity and more funny. Insightful and often hilarious this is a go to podcast.

Issues presented are timely. Jon has a tendency to interrupt guests that he disagrees with.

I was afraid to listen to The Daily Show post debate “analysis” because I was so depressed about Joe Biden’s performance. But Jon Stewart handled it as only he can and I was able to laugh. Thank you for this.

The rest of the commentators on TDS are not interesting to me. I only listen for John Stewart. He is the GOAT of this program. PS every time I see the initials TDS I think of Trump derangement syndrome. Ha ha.
