1st time listening to this podcast. I came to listen to a author I follow! The background music was very distracting and annoying!

Thoughtful and practical political podcast. Moving beyond punditry, this show helps to uphold a sense of hope and provide listeners with actually useful tools for their “civic toolbox.” Really looking at the role of people power and the workings of our democracy.

As a confirmed purple this is something I can share with extremists on both sides who have made my state (MO) a democracy no more. Both sides responsible. So grateful for sincere problem solving instead of blaming.

This is one of the most thoughtful and informative podcasts about a wide variety of issues related to American democracy. When you need a break from the depressing discussion of MAGA and Trump, listen here to thoughtful, informative and often inspiring conversations.

In last week’s podcast about student debt they said cancelling student debt is a good idea but don’t realize there is no such thing as a free lunch. The government has to make more money to pay off the debt, increasing inflation and reducing the value of money for all Americans, effectively taxing them massive amounts of money. This podcast is one sided and never realizes that what it says is baseless and false.

I love this podcast. Each episode dives deep into issues that command our attention, offering listeners not only original points of view but also a clear path to become more active and informed community participants. The podcast's strength lies in its ability to demystify complex concepts, making them accessible and engaging. Highly recommended for people who work in policy or who are interested!

I just binged on the podcast. I simply can’t get enough of Mila and her incredible line up of guests. One after the other, the interviews are empowering, informative as they inspire me to become a more engaged citizen. They also inform me on how I can better contribute and participate to our civil and democratic society. Mila is an exceptional hostess and does a remarkable job wit her guest list. Thank you for doing it!

First of all, you have clearly never experienced violence against your body. Nothing compares. Furthermore, you are describing the conditions under which someone should be prescribed a more powerful opioid such as fentanyl. You have never had back surgery or experienced severe nerve pain…obviously. Both are excruciating and are exactly what Oxycodone is for. Though it is true people were inappropriately and overprescribed opioid pain medication…terminality (made up word) is not the only proper use for those meds. Stop spreading information that you know nothing about

Her interviews with denizens of change-makers show by example the actions that are available to any and all of us who care to engage in our political process in a meaningful rather than mindlessly rabid manner. This podcast is a flow of information that far exceeds journalism in terms of impact and analysis.

This show is crucial to anyone interested in social issues and civic engagement. The conversation is far ranging yet focused. The guests are always interesting and Mila is a very skilled host.

So much of the conversation around civic engagement focuses on restoring or reviving a past ideal. Mila and her impressive roster of guests offer a forward-looking perspective that strikes the right balance between intellectual and actionable.

i just listeneed to Future Hindisight's interview with Kathy Edin, author of $2 A Day and was fascinated and disturbed to learn how the clinton era reform of 96 has caused such traumatizing outcomes. Did not have any idea that currently, some states offer a basic safety net and many others do not. Future Hindsight, please tell us which states offer one and which don't and why. And thank you for the active listening you create every week.
