BrisaidiaMy comfort podcastI have relistened to it more times than I can count and am deeply invested in the characters. As a botany undergrad interested in ecology, there really is nothing more interesting to me in a syfy than natural/ecological science in space!!! I love that Dr Euris sounds like a biologist, and I know that may seem like an obvious thing to say? But it’s just so striking to me that when she discusses the landscape and the organisms around her it sounds like my professors and my friends when we talk about these things here on earth. And I love how we see Fred dealing with the excitement of discovery being overlaid by the anxiety and loneliness of isolation. I just!!! I genuinely love this podcast so so so much and I could discuss every aspect but it would take too many paragraphs! I’d say this isn’t a podcast for everyone, the scientific language and focus of it may not appeal to everyone, but if you’re into biology, ecology, botany, marine biology, geology— if ecological science is your thing, you’ll probably really enjoy this podcast!!

tspinktoesIt's okIt's ok. Main character is kinda whiney and not very funny. Probably would have liked it more if she didnt say the F-word so much. I originally got the podcast on Pocket Casts app and there was no label about language content

Ell GamesterAMAZINGThis podcast is on my: "This is the best thing I've ever listened to" list. It's main draw is the biology of the planet, but that doesnt mean the characters are not interesting, they're so funny. Listen to this podcast.
-
forestxedgeMarathoned podcastI listen to this entire podcast all at once. As a person getting their biology masters and a fan of The Martian by Andy Weir, I loved the found audio style and going on a biological journey as she described the alien life. I appreciated the creativity put into the aliens, and how they tried to think of the ways life would have evolved separately from earth. A pet peeve of mine is sci-fi media with obvious earth animal origins, must just add something crazy like horns. Not in this show! Also Spirits podcast sent me here.

McStevensonenovEndless WhiningThis show has a lot of potential, the the world they’ve envisioned is very interesting, but 90% of every episode is just the main character whining, and it gets really old really fast. Wanted to like it, got halfway through the season, but I just can’t take it any more.

A YouTube Obsessed Freakso easy to fall in love withi have listened to this podcast in it’s entirety at least five times, who knows how many times i’ve listened to The Sea Lady. the show is a comfort to me and a constant inspiration. extremely worth the listen! lovely endearing characters played by fantastic VAs, a brilliant easy to follow but fascinating script, and tight as hell sound design!

Husky Dog {WP}Well doneWell scripted, well acted, well researched. Loved it. If you’re a fan of Ars Paradoxia, you’ll love this as well. Hope they make more
-
katedmc-loves-fictionOne of my favesGreat voice acting! Adventure and intensity and science! I love it and have invested in Tides through Patreon. Would encourage other fans to do so as well so we can find out what is next for our main character. Listen for a bit and you’ll see why I’m looking forward to next season!

KarenslistDidn’t know what to thinkIt sucked me in quick. Lots of ideas to ponder and the enthusiasm of a scientist is so so cool

bobbysnacksAll I need to say is Tardigrades.Schifini proves here, as ever, that she is a force of nature in this medium. Her performance in this series is equal parts funny, heart breaking, informative, and engaging. This series reminded me of a cross between the Twilight Zone episode where the astronauts encounter the miniature city and that wave planet in Interstellar. Cannot wait for season 2! ❤️

Richard KLFantastic Sci-Fi Audio DramaThis show takes a simple premise - a scientist marooned on an alien world, and makes it come alive. The audio quality, sound design, and acting are all fantastic. The main character really starts to come alive after the first episode or two, as the reality of her situation starts to become clear, and each episode builds on the relationships with the other members of the ship's crew in orbit (once she's able to get a signal) and the mysterious flora and fauna present on the planet. If you're a fan of science fiction, xenobiology, marine science, or exploration log style stories, this is a must-listen. Even if you aren't, it's definitely worth a shot.

FishboniusSeason 1 done. So far Soooo good!Once upon a time there was a girl named Fred Marooned on a planet but at least she Tony dead Can’t wait for season 2 to take us for a ride Maybe Fred will shape a board and surf on the Tides And so excited she found the sub (kinda saw that coming) 🏄♀️ 🦀 🐠

alittlejstillzJust excellent all aroundTides is a perfect mix of science fiction and exciting drama. I love the descriptions of this alien world and the creatures inhabiting the planet just as much as I am invested in the interpersonal relationships of the space crew. This is such a great show and I can’t wait to hear more!
-
KireikattUnexpected twistA series with an excellent and unexpected twist, with a fantastic cast.

NewportBeachGirlA Must for Any Podcast Addict@TidesPodcast I binged Season 1 of Tides. Entertaining & captivating.Writing, voice actors, foley, sound quality & editing top notch.Slow in parts, but not damaging. However, the last episode jumped fast, wildly, with a big “huh”? Looking forward to Season 2. I’ll spread the word.
-
regan8orPretty fun!I really like the premise of this podcast, the acting is good, the slow addition of cast members is good, the mystery is good. I know some people commented about science issues but I wasn't terribly bothered by that piece. It's a fun listen.
-
CptRyeLovley Syfy storyI love audio log style story telling and this is deffinetly an interesting story. im on the egde of my seat waiting to find out what happens next! I cant wait to learn more about this new world!
-
Banjo MasterIt’s alrightI felt that this writing would’ve worked a lot better as a novel more than an audio drama, but still not a bad story. At times a bit repetitive (Fred is scared by something, takes it in, spews heavy science, and swears a lot), but interesting enough to keep me listening till the end. Looking forward to seeing what’s in store for season 2.

DWeb772 Thumbs Up!Tides swept me away on an out of this world adventure!
-
MairKattUnique scifiDefinitely the most "hard sci-fi" of the audio dramas I've listened to. The emphasis on exploration and discovery is cool. I'd love to have more interaction with the rest of the crew, but that's just because I'm a sucker for ensemble casts/interpersonal relationship dynamics and what there's been so far hints at some fascinating backstory. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for season 2!
-
Organa57Great premiseThe doctor is such a fun character, and I love her continued curiosity.
-
lynajeanneSuper interesting! It took me a second to get hooked onto this podcast, but I'm a huge fan! Great audio editing, a really interesting premise- I'm excited to see what happens next!
-
ChemicallyWritSCIENCEIt's easy to tell that Jesse Schuschu's a scientist. Dr. Fred Eurus is an instantly endearing (if prickly) guide to an alien planet. This show is well-written, fascinating, and a whole lot of fun. The banter is great, the worldbuilding is pristine, and the concept is excellent. Can't wait for the next episode.
-
ThatsocalkidAmazing Totally ImmersiveCant wait for more!!!
-
seriystarClever and UniqueIf you liked Girl in Space and/or Wolf359, you’ll probably enjoy this too. The way the logs are read have a Girl in Space vibe, which I really enjoy. I love all the fun facts and the brilliant, quirky female scientist perspective. Everything that happens is unpredictable and I’m excited to see what Winifred encounters next!
-
JaxTheAwesomeCan’t stop, won’t stop!Binged it in a day - love it! Keep up the great work! And if you’re looking at this review instead of trying it - push the stupid + and listen already!

lucilleballtilyoufallA delightful take on the extraterrestrial exploration genreSo many things about this podcast make it stand out: the writing, the acting, the sheer amount of research that goes into each episode. What demarcates it the most, at least for me, is how different it is than your typical sci-fi, extraplanetary discovery story. I cannot stress how excited I was (and still am) to listen to a show about exploring an unknown, foreign planet that doesn't rely on, or really involve in any way (yet?), tremendous violence and rely on colonization to be the driving force behind the story. If you like nature documentaries and want to listen to one set against a space backdrop, then this is the podcast for you.
-
nativedaturaSo great!Loved it from the first episode!
-
JessGListenerA Quiet Little AdventureI'll admit I'm a sucker for the "lonely voice" type of audio drama, and this one pulls off the theme very well. Though she spends most of her time simply describing what she sees around her, Fred is full of personality and a quietly absurd sense of humor. If you like Sally Grissom from ars Paradoxica, consider Tides as a more isolated, less nuclear take on similar themes of loneliness, science, and just trying to stay alive without breaking anything.
-
kdimercSUCH SCIENCEI can’t wait to see where this one is going! It’s great to hear Julia Schifini in an audio drama. I love listening to her on Spirits Podcast, and it’s fun to imagine her stranded on this insane planet (did that sound cruel? She’s probably chill with that). The imagery is super vivid in this show, and it’s cool to listen to an audio drama where visualizing the setting is half the fun.
-
inkphemeralBeautifulI get lost listening to this podcast. It’s like actually being transported to another world. A transcendent experience, well worth the listen.
-
DesdymonaMarine Biology in SpaceThis world is so strange and fascinating. I can't wait to learn more about it.

Strider LeighAre We Seeing Planetary Romance Take to Podcasts? This is one of my favourite new podcasts, and I hope we get a hundred more episodes. It's beautiful and intriging and plays with the setting to the point it's like another character. Seeing an update for this podcast gives me a thrill!
-
Miche NickolaisenGreat acting, intriguing conceptEven though they're only a few episodes in, I love the world they've set up (and what they're doing with the "lone scientist/explorer" genre). Obviously, a lot of research has gone into it - I'm looking forward to finding out more about this mysterious planet our protagonist has been stranded on.
-
TomonariKasumiSci Fi SplurgeWhat makes this unique is its willingness to dive into the world it creates. It sets the stage for you to imagine the flora and fauna of the world through the eyes of an educated observer. So if that is your jam, then dig in. I love this podcast because as it builds we're going to get more than just a well written plot; we get an immersive environment too.
-
bassbonebyfboAnother Gold Star Sci-fi Show!In its first 2 episodes, Tides cements itself as one of the great new sci-fi audio dramas. The humor is on point, the setting is lush, and the voice acting and sound production are top notch. Dive in as soon as you can!
-
Caleb GriderOnly a couple episodes right now but I’m already in loveThis podcast fills all the boxes in my ideal narrative podcast. A fascinating setting, a great main character, and a team that legitimately cares about it. I can’t wait to hear more!
-
CicatricksWow!Love it, can’t wait to hear more!
-
EsamiI’m digging itI’m a sucker for audio logs, and this one’s no exception. The story is a cool twist on the old “lost explorer” trope, and I absolutely love it. Only one episode in, and I’m waiting in anticipation for the next one. I can’t wait to see what happens with this story, and to learn more about this fascinating (and terrifying) alien world. I absolutely recommend it!
-
GuandeeInterestingI’ve gotta say, this is a very interesting podcast. It’s also the first one (I admit to keeping a dictionary handy while listening) I might be too dumb for. It had a lot of fascinating imagery, and I feel for the well voiced doctor. My only complaint is that it was a bit difficult to discern when time had passed while the recording was going on. It just felt like a shift in the one sided conversation until she brought up that time had passed. This didn’t diminish the greatness, it just confused me for moment. I can’t for more facts like the one that you should listen to the credits for. ^_^
