    So well done
I am only on “The Surrogate” but so far my faves are “The Studio” and “All God’s Children”. First of all the multi-layered storylines are so enthralling and entertaining. They pull you in emotionally and give you pause to think . The actors are perfect for each episode as well, each being the consulate actor and storyteller. I’m so glad I stumbled on this podcast. Would definitely recommend!

Every episode is incredibly well acted. The sound on the first two episodes of season one is atrocious, but they fixed it by the third. Excellent writing.

    Oh. My. Goodness.
I don’t know where to begin to describe this podcast. It will take you on journeys that feel so realistic, emotional, beautiful, and raw. The voice acting is utterly phenomenal. I fought back tears listening to Goodbye, Mr. Adams and Surfacing. I really wish there were more episodes!!

    Amazing
This is an amazing podcast! I agree with the review that compares it to Black Mirror. The bands that play at the end of each episode is also pretty cool...great taste in music, sir.

    Very interesting!
If you love Black Mirror, you’ll love this. So entertaining!

Wow this is really something special
I’m a fiction podcast connoisseur and this may be one of the best out there. I’m not usually into an anthology but man, these stories are really amazing. Each one is it’s own little emotional journey. Somehow each one finds a way to be funny, heartbreaking but overall hopeful. I’m only on episode 5 but so far they’ve all been truly outstanding. Beautiful. Found this bc I was a fan of all the PNWS podcasts but this is better. More evolved, more complex, more emotional. I still love Rabbits & The Black Tapes but this is really on another level.

    The best podcast
I mostly listen to true crime but I do like some fictional podcasts as well. This one is the best of the best. Every story stands on its own and has phenomenal voice actors. Very immersive and engaging. Just try it, it’s sooooo good.

Bringing back what made the Black Tapes so good
I’ve been a big lover of The Black Tapes for a long time, and I’m finally getting to listen to the Big Loop. It’s simply outstanding. The mostly monologue style of storytelling is something I’ve not really heard in other audio dramas and it’s actually really refreshing to sit with a single character for an hour and just hear how their story arc progresses. This podcast is so good, and you can pick it up at any point. Definitely give it a listen!

    Masterpiece
Paul Bae most be one of the most talented writers for fiction podcasts out there, he truly understand the medium and how to make a great dialogue and narration. Not only that, he teams up incredible performers, actors, and composers to bring too notch productions. Between The black Tapes, Rabbits and The Big Loop I just have to say, this guy it’s a genius.

The most human, the most real, the most compelling and intriguing sci-fi podcast I’ve heard
I listen to a LOT of podcasts in this genre, and have been reading and watching sci-fi and horror since early in childhood... so for 25+ years... THIS. IS. AMAZING. Thank you for putting out the most human, the most real, compelling and intriguing sci-fi podcast out there.

Single Voice Storytelling At Its Finest!
The single actor narrative is best exemplified by what Paul Bae has done here. The plethora of talented voice actors bring Bae's amazing writing and storytelling to life in a way I've rarely encountered in this media. I've laughed, cringed and cried through multiple episodes and for all the right reasons. Absolutely excellent!
  • Mistymancy
    Wow!

    100% Sold!
I just finished listening to the episode, “The Studio.” What a brilliant performance from the actress, Tara Pratt, and such elegant material from the writer in telling this story. I’m so glad I stumbled across this podcast! The Big Loop is a beautiful platform with extraordinary storytelling. I’m 100% sold!

    So many feels.
This show is incredible. I particularly enjoyed FMK, Smoke, The Surrogate, and Goodbye Mr. Adams. I really appreciate the combination of humor and heartfelt, how each story is written for the voice performing it so that everything feels so natural you forget you’re listening to fiction, and that the episodes are all standalone so that as much as you want to binge them, you can also spread them out and not feel like you’re hanging on a cliff.
  • Rosalie_posalie
    Captivating!!
I’m now 5 stories in, starting from episode 1. Absolutely amazing! Every story is unique and thought provoking. The Studio and Goodbye Mr. Adams are my favorites so far. So happy to have found this podcast!

    Beautiful stories, terrible audio
Many of these stories are very moving, but the vocal recording is often infuriating. If I have to turn the volume waaaay up to hear what’s being said, only to have what is said immediately afterwards be far, far too loud, it’s _not_ enjoyable, regardless of the beauty of the story. I’d have loved to give this podcast 5 stars, but the terrible vocal recording really detracts significantly from the experience.

    Startlingly Moving Stories
This show reveals touching narratives through phenomenal acting and well executed story arcs. The slow pace undercuts it’s draw, but for those willing to wait, it can be quite satisfying.
  • swagodelic
    Audio is not great
Tried to listen to the first episode but the narrator’s voice goes in and out too much and mumbles. About 10-20% of the dialogue is inaudible.
  • savethatvid
    Attention: Paul Bae
Great production, you utilize the acting talent and low budget very well. But please set your close vocals compressor to these settings: Threshold: -18.50 db Ratio: 7.5 :1 Attack: 25.6 ms Gain: -1.8 db Mix: 94% I promise your listeners (including me) will thank you.
  • kimmie30909
    Highly surprised
I usually do not care for podcast that has only 1 person talking but I can truly say I TOTALLY enjoyed The Big Loop!! Awesome job can wait for more!!!!
  • efs_2015
    Terrible audio!!!
Why does the volume constantly go up and down? It’s HORRIBLE to listen to. It would be such a great podcast if it weren’t for that.
  • Ahc4959
    Love it!
I started backwards with the fugue. Love the “black mirror” podcast feel. Can’t wait for next season!

    Yes.
Soft, brilliant, delicately crafted. Each story is given the love and care of an entire series. By the end you feel like you’ve spent weeks with the character. There are true treasures in this one.

    Breathtakingly Beautiful
This is one of the most beautifully written, beautifully produced fiction podcasts that exists. There has yet to be an episode that doesn’t stop me in my tracks with heart strings pulled. I can’t recommend this one enough. So very very excited for this new season!
  • jonlyons24
    Brilliant
Each episode requires a deep breath beforehand, as the writing, acting, and music are sure to pack a powerful, emotional punch. This is one of my favorite podcasts, and I look forward with relish to each episode, whether it leaves me sobbing, in wonder, or in laughter.

    In a word: beautiful
This show is just lovely. Wonderfully written monologues beautifully performed in a rich, warm, but minimal sound design. Highly recommended.
