    Awesome!
Didn’t expect comedy of this caliber!

    What is this genre?
If steampunk is futuristic but based on the technology of the past, what is this? This story is the past, with the technology of the future. Like a cyberpunkish Victorian England. There might not be a name for this genre, but it’s definitely cool. And super original. P.S. due to the book written from this podcast, I finally got back into listening to audiobooks, aside from just listening to podcasts.

    SO BLOODY GOOD!
I just discovered this show and breezed through it all pretty quickly. Totally hooked me from the first episode. Absolutely brilliant writing by the Sugdens, Tom Crowley and Layla Katib are pitch perfect as Fleet and Entwistle, Pater Rae’s narration hits precisely the right tone, the whole cast just crushes it. This show has gotten more sudden and very loud outbursts of laughter out of me in extremely public spaces than I was prepared for. Do yourselves a favor and give this show a listen.

Good mix of comedy and mistery
After finishing listening to all my podcasts, I was in search of a good one. This one was a great one so far. I have binge listening all 3 seasons and just loved it. Can’t wait for another season.

If I had a bullhorn I would announce this to my entire state
Victoriocity is the podcast I've been recommending to literally anyone I can think of. I was looking for a good comedic podcast and got more than I bargained for here; witty, natural writing, smooth and talented voice acting (in EVERY CHARACTER!), clever plots that have twists but no shark-jumping, a unique world without being A: absurd (in the bad way) B: self-important, and best of all, it's just plain fresh. No railroaded love story, agenda, message or trope of any kind; just a pure story with hilarious dry humor. I can listen to it no matter who's around, as well, because overall it's almost perfectly clean which shocked me in the best way. Bravo! Bravo!! I can't say enough good things and can think of absolutely zero negative critiques. If you like Terry Prachett, Brandon Sanderson, Robert Asprin, or any other number in those types of ranks, THIS IS YOUR PODCAST!

Perfect mix of mystery, comedy and sci-fi
I was so happy to find this show. I was searching for a new serial story podcast that was interesting and funny but didn’t take too much of my own brain and wasn’t disturbing. Bingo bango this show is perfect. Plus it’s set in a sci-fi/historical fiction version of Victorian England which I have a soft spot for. Plus the dialogue has elements of witty fast-talking detective movies from the forties and fifties without the cringeworthy sexism and racism. Perfect! I do hope you all will continue to make more. It’s great!

    Wonderfully Engaging
This was the first season I listened too. Nonetheless I was able to start right in and thoroughly enjoyed it. The writing is very good and the acting well done.

    So much fun!
Writing is too-notch and the voice acting and production value are exceptional. I laugh out loud every episode. Can’t wait for the next series! Oh, and there are no annoying ads to skip through. Perfect!

    Delightful…absolutely delightful!
Ridiculous and very funny podcast! It’s sort of like the works of Douglas Adams or Terry Pratchett, but in podcast form. We need more lighthearted creative storytelling like this in the world. 😃

    Love this show!
I heard a rumor they are working on season 3 of this show, and I can’t wait! This is my favorite fiction podcast since Wooden Overcoats (and if you’re a fan of that pod, it’s only cannon that Fleet is an alter ego of Chapman, a long, long, time ago). Never thought I’d be so invested in a steampunk version of London, but here we are. Looking forward to many more seasons!

    Fantastic: a go-to recommendation!
I've been a fan of Victoriocity since 2019 and I've recommended it to multiple people since. The writing, voice acting, production, worldbuilding--the show never disappoints and continues to be interesting and engaging. Hoping season 3 drops soon because I would love to hear from my favorite characters again (it's all of them, they're all my favorite characters, including the Agatha's husband from episode 1). Any time someone wants to try out audio-dramas, Victoriocity is one of my top 3 recommendations!

Gripping plot and great jokes. I binge listened to it, and have relistened several times. I love all the duos, but I think my favorite has to be Vicky and Albert. Recommended it to my brother, he loves it says it’s like Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy but there’s more of it. Highly recommend.

    Very good
Good stories, good voice acting, super fun premise. I only wish there were more.

A beautiful blend of comedy, drama, and mystery. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quirky new story with lovable characters and fun dialogue.

    Fantastic Comedy Drama!
Equally clever and ridiculous, this podcast was an excellent binge listen with high production quality, amusing characters and situations as well as some very interesting alternate-history worldbuilding. Can’t wait for season 3! Also, very British.

    A must listen!
A perfectly funny and cozy mystery - I loved listening to the adventures of the beleaguered Inspector and the intrepid journalist. The jokes are on point and the twists are unexpected. Highly recommend!

One of my all time favorites
Clever ironic humor abounds in Victorocity. I love its whimsy and feigned seriousness. There is nothing serious about this murder mystery, only fun!

So clever. So hilarious. So needs another season. Can’t wait for 3!

    Continues to amuse
Just finished my second run-through listening. Still brilliant and fun! On pins and needles for the third season...

    Perfect
No hyperbole - This. Is. Brilliant. Funny, charming, and oh, so clever, this fantastic production weaves a unique, colorful world of intrigue, suspense and (faux) history. Superb acting (oomph - your line delivery!), genius sound design, and an imaginative and detailed story: what’s not to love?! There are even effective plot twists. Looking forward to more from this creative team...SOON! Please?

    Totally engaging and entertaining
Love this podcast. Modern twist on old radio dramas. Steampunk, mystery & comedy all wrapped up in one! This kept my attention from start to finish, great chemistry between main characters. I found myself laughing out loud many times. The humor sometimes caught me by surprise which is my favorite kind of humor. I’m hoping for a season 3 and beyond. If you like audio fiction this is for you!!

    Amazing
Another new favorite podcast! A hilarious drama with outstanding quality. Fleet and Clara are the perfect pair, and Keller could have an episode all to himself. But there’s so much more to find out. Please release another season soon! 😭

    Amazing! Delightful!
One of the most fun refreshing podcasts out there! Superb voice work, excellent writing and fantastic story with steampunk style and sharp humor. Best podcast find ever!

    Loved it
I came to this podcast from wooden overcoats, LOVED it, story and characters especially fleet and Clara, more please...
  • LaurenGraceT
    LOVE
Listen. This show frickin’ rocks. In this house we love detectives, we love the Victorian era, and we LOVE Clara Entwhistle. In an alternate London in 1887 (Even Greater London), an inspector and a journalist (aforementioned #Icon Clara Entwhistle), team up to solve mysteries. Come for the steampunk Victorian vibes, stay for the amazing jokes about Cyborg Queen Victoria and Basically-Undead Prince Albert that truly never stop being amazing.
  • gowiththelue
    Exceptional!
I’ve recently discovered this because someone recommended to me and is so ducking good! Ugh, it’s perfect! 💖💖💖 Everything from the storyline to characters and, of course, the voice acting which is 10/100.

    A delight!
I was absolutely blown away with how amazing this show is! It has a Cozy British Mystery feel to it, and it full of wit and dry humor that kept me in stitches, but it is also exciting with a great mystery and the chemistry and dynamics between Clara and Fleet is crackling! With a steampunk feel, and a rich backdrop of something both familiar and at the same time foreign, this show has a great energy and kept me begging for more! An absolute must listen for any audio drama fan!

    Best Podcast Ever
I never write a review for podcasts I listen to but this show is the BEST PODCAST I have ever listened to on this app. Please come back soon for Season 3! Chief Inspector Keller is so funny, I just keep going back and listening to all of his scenes because they make me laugh so much. So creative, witty, and extremely well made.

    Hilarious and delightfully whacky
When somebody said "weird steampunk noir detective story, oh and you'll laugh your butt off" I had to give this show a try. It absolutely delivers. It's got that quirky sense of humor we Americans tend to expect from the Brits, and the production quality is fantastic. It's weird, it's funny, it's probably got topical references I'm completely missing, who knows? Who cares? It's an absolute blast and you should listen to it.
  • kt-jay
    Brilliant
I haven't enjoyed a radio show this much since The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Great characters, hilarious dialogue, beautifully produced...it's just enormously entertaining. Can't wait for Season 3!
  • MagpieThief
    Best radio drama I’ve heard
Absolutely great radio drama with tongue in cheek humor, great plot twists, and compelling voice acting and audio.

    Fantastic
    Truly entertaining, witty and bright!

Better than the collected works of Michael Monkfish!
I have been binge listening to audio dramas this summer. Victoriocity quickly shot to the top of my list as an absolute favorite. I started listening for the acting and soundscape and stayed for the wit and narrative. The story is entertaining, but it's the quick, witty lines and sarcasm that make the show. Random, satirical, full of heart, and predictably unpredictable.

I love, love, love this show. It’s funny and entertaining and a genuinely engaging mystery.

    HHG meets Girl Genius
A wonderful blend of steampunk alt-history and gadgetry, detective drama, and a Hitchhiker’s Guide flair to the narration. So happy I found this one.
  • EdieBedieBonita
    Just perfect.
I listen to way too many podcasts and this is by far my favorite discovery of 2019. I listened to both seasons in just a few days and I was so sad there were not 1,000 more hours.
  • llueve73
    Such fun!
As a lover of P.G Wodehouse, I’ve run through a lot of related fiction. This podcast had the same feeling of character entanglement, but in a delightful fictional Even Greater London. I’m in.
  • manapualover
    Worth your time!
I LOVE this podcast! It’s funny, dramatic, and the production quality is excellent. Perfect for folks who love Sherlock Holmes and/or steampunk-y London with lots of machinery and fog and Victorian garb.
  • Doc Horton
    A Wonderful Experience!!
This podcast is quite simply, extraordinary!! It has the right balance of action, suspense, humor, and drama. Perhaps the greatest asset is its unpredictability!! This is a testament to the excellent writing. I enjoyed season one, and fell in love with season two!! I can’t wait for the third season!! Fleet and Clara, forever!!
